posted a message on Recount 2 - Testing
Possible issues with List Windows after using /recount2 reset

    Test Scenario:
    - after collecting some data, do /recount2 reset
    - on engaging next fight, new data collected is not showing in default window(1)
    - type /recount2 show, which will create a new data Window(2), then the fight data will show in only the new Window(2), not Window(1),
    - also if you have a Detail Window(3) active when you reset the data, all of the data showing in this detail Window(3) does not get cleared (not sure if this is the intended functionality)

I will continue testing some more...

Just loaded and started some testing.
I have the details display open and when I mouse over the details lines, it throws this error. Perhaps code is not finished for this function?

I too am a Shadow Priest, so I guess the VT gains to others was causing the grief. I am glad we nail this down, cause I love this mod too. In some regards, I used this mod to visually show my VE and VT was up, even though I use DoT timer bars too. The fact that it was spamming more VT gains (others) was OK for me. I can use it either way. Thanks again.

I was raiding all tonight and happy to report that BugSacker is not complaining about Eavesdrop anymore. I tried to watch for events that were in 'white' but so far wasn't able to catch any. I also was in a 5m party earlier and no errors occurred in that setup. Tomorrow, I will continue to keep an eye out for unusual events and post them.

Its been a quile since I logged on forums, but I wanted to acknowledge the good answers to my inquiries, Thanks it helps me understand the good and bad to running combat meters / reports on less than ideal hardware.

bottomline: I need an upgrade to my PC (lawl)

I am getting the same errors. I am not sure how much CPU cycles are getting chewed on, cause BugSack is reporting these errors as 20 per sec, then it stops capturing the errors and later starts again. If I enable Blizzard's show LUA errors, it will consistently 'pop up' a error box every time I start combat.

I have tried all of the suggested fixes (wiped variables, deinstalled mod, then reinstalled, tried mod at default settings, etc). Something is broken, but its beyond a user to figure it out.

Be glad to try somemore debugging if you provide some guidance on what to test.

Love this mod, but I don't think its helping my framerates, atm.

I noticed the date after I spent the time to compose the post, then thought hell a question that is still relevant 12 months later -- figured it deserves a "jumper bump" -- ;)

what about using a Ace2 mod like Assessment as a replacement for SWstats.
I am using Assessment but of course I still get 10 other raid members spamming me with tons of SWstats traffic.

I am a noob on Addon traffic, so my question is; Does each game client receive all combat messages? I think the answer is Yes, and if u set the range to 200yrds, you will receive all of the combat data traffic. If my assumption is right, then Assessment impacts your own PC processing and doesn't impact other raid members, because it doesn't need to sync to others. Is this a correct assumption? If Assessment or some other local combat parsing tool does the job, why do players continue to hang on to the old tools like SWstats and DamageMeters.

Final question -- Does anyone know how I can stop traffic coming to me from SWstats users if I can't get them to switch? Using the tool FuAddonSpam, I noticed Swstats sending almost 3-4 times the byte traffic as other mods. I want to give my PC a break, because I think it has to process all of this traffic? or does it? Maybe I just receive it and ignore it...

posted a message on UI Screenshots - Show us what you use!
I am a Shadow Priest, mostly focused on PvE raiding (SSC/TK, atm). My UI during combat is focused around DoT & CD monitoring, hence the custom setup of the DoTimer mod. I use ag_Unitframes with Quartz (only use Quartz's casting bar with latency visual + /stopcasting macros). I was using PerfectRaid for raid frames, and I might go back to that mod, as it's compact frame shows a lot of information in a very small space. In addition, I use oRA2, BigWigs, Decursive, Omen and atm the ag_UF raid frames. Currently using DoTimer's new PlayerAuras (bundled with mod) for handling my buffs/debuffs. I like the icon visuals for buff/debuffs rather than bars (it supports either). I also like using Eavesdrop (used to use SCT) to give me feedback on spells, esp. VT & VE. Recently I have been trying Assessment to analyze raid performance. When out of combat, 90% of the bars fade away, so its nice and clean while in town, etc. Total mod load is under 20MB. My FPS really blows, but that's because my PC needs a serious upgrade.

Just loaded this mod and I think I am going to love it. Hoping to dump SWstats, Recap and maybe Omen.
Perhaps this was posted, but I can't find anyreference on Searching.

After each solo mob kill, I get the following LUA error window:

"...\Assessment\CoreModules\CombatTimer.lua:192:attempt to perform arthimetic on field 'currentDurationOffset' (a nil value)"

    Anyone else seen this error?

I think the only config flag I set before going out to test it was BigWigs fight sync flag. After the error, I turned it off, but same error pops each time.

Update: Deleted the mod from Addons and the SavedVariables, then reloaded a fresh copy. When into game and did not touch any setup options. Error did not occur. So now, I want to understand if there is a conflict with BigWigs. I will try in a raid tonight.
