SpellBinder is a mod that creates a GUI for the new TBC SetBindingSpell, SetBindingMacro, and SetBindingItem functions. It's ugly as sin, but functional. :)

Thanks Nymbia, latest revision fixed the issue where Manufac was opening up the standard tradeskill window. I do have to always click the refresh button, not a big deal at all, is this intended?
Yes, the game requires a click event to make the data available to Manufac.

So it's still doing it as the only mod enabled? And always only on tailoring?

Ok, well since it's happening in the earlier version too, my instinct is to say that it's likely a conflict with another mod. Let me know if you find any conflicts -- if you don't, try using r15588, and see if it's still happening.

Lets see, other factors.. you're using an english client, right?

I've had WoW lock (had to use end task) three times now trying to use this mod. I can't really give specifics, but basically I just "clicked around" on the menus, going from one profession to the next to the next.

The character it crashed on has Cooking, Enchanting, First Aid, and Tailoring. I'm using Manufac-r15693.

I'm going to try one more time to reproduce it and see if I can determine a specific cause.

Update: Okay this causes the lock every single time for me.
Tailoring > Any Category > Any Item > Any Action
Which actions, specifically? Does it occur when you're just mousing over them, or when you actually click?

I can't get this to reproduce, in tailoring or otherwise, but I think I have a hunch about what may be causing it; try switching to r15681 and let me know if it still happens.

edit: also, did you get any lua errors at loadtime or anything?

edit2: this could also be a conflict with another mod, so if 15681 doesn't solve the problem, try loading with other mods disabled.

edit3: I'm assuming this is happening with the fubar plugin menu; does it happen when not using it (just clicking on the professions)?

(sorry for the dozen questions, I just need all the information I can get if I can't reproduce it :( )

This happens on both my 22 Hunter with Enchanting, Cooking and First Aid. Also happens on my 60 Druid with Tailoring. I honestly haven't done a clean load and try to eliminate the possibility of a conflict, but I will if necessary.
Should be fixed in the newest version, let me know.

I believe there may be a conflict between Manufac and DuctTape. DT allows you to close pop up menus by clicking on the world frame, something that is very intuitive for me at least. It seems that if you close the Manufac menu in that way, the dewdrop menu closes but the hidden tradeskill window does not. Go back to the Fubar menu, try to reopen the same trade menu again, and now the tradeskill window is toggled closed and Manufac doesn't display a menu (usually, for the reasons mentioned above).
This is actually the behavior regardless, at the moment. The problems causing this are as follows:
    a) I don't want to have timed execution closing the windows if the dropdown is not open, this can prove unreliable if you open the dropdown right as the timer or event (I've also tried this with TRADE_SKILL_UPDATE events)
    b) As far as I can tell, clicks on the worldframe simply hide the dropdown frame without firing any of the UIDropDownMenu functions that I could hook such as ToggleDropDownMenu, CloseDropDownMenus, or HideDropDownMenu.

So, I'm kinda stuck on that part, and any ideas would be appreciated. For now, just hit escape =\

Excellent mod, and only 2 things are holding me back from using it 100%.

    1.) A Queue similar to Fizzwidget's mod.

2.) When looking at something to craft, it would be nice if the ingredients need to be crafted that they 'fly out' to their respective menu to either create them, of just see the mats need to make them without having to work your way back through the menus.

    Example:

     ___________________________________
    | Rough Boomstick |
    | |
    | Create 1 |
    | Create X |> |
    | Create All |
    | |
    | Anvil, Blacksmith Hammer | ____________________
    | Copper Tube [0/1] |> | | Create 1 |
    | Handful of Copper Bolts [0/1] |> | | Create X |> |
    | Wooden Stock [0/1] | | Create All |
    | | | |
    | LinkResult | | Copper Bar [0/2] |
    | LinkRecipe! | | Weak Flux [0/1] |
    | | --------------------
    | |
    | Grouping |> |
     -----------------------------------

Basically, things would keep expanding out as far as you needed them too.

Thanks, and hope that made some sort of sense.
    -Ryq

Queuing is on the to-do list, but it may be a while, since that's one thing I want to make sure works absolutely right.

I like the feel of that engineering behavior; I've been trying to think of a good way to put that together. I'll work on it :)

    Nymbia,

In regards to the way the Fubar plugin behaves, I wasd wondering about this myself and is fine if that is the way it was intended, however I find that when I do click on a profession within the Fubar dewdrop it doesn't open the reskin Manufac menu, it opens my regular tradeskill window.

That's an odd one. Which tradeskill is it?

Just downloaded and tried this addon, discovered one problem. The FuBar plugin won't open some of my profs. I can see the categories for Cooking, but nothing happens when hovering over the other two crafting profs I have.
That's intentional, due to information access limitations of the game that I discussed earlier in the thread. Essentially, the ability to get information from the tradeskill and craft windows and to make things within them is limited by:

    a) The window must be open for you to craft something, and with the exception of enchanting, it must be the only window open. The crafting cast functions do not allow you to differentiate between professions.

    b) Manufac asks the tradeskill window for the reagent info, cooldown info, and all that jazz whenever you mouse over a different thing in the menu, so that the information is as current as it can be with regards to inventory items and cooldown information. This information is available to the client ONLY in two situations: when the window for that profession is open, and for a short time after closing it (2 seconds to a minute).

So, the alternative to the current setup is to have Manufac keep a live database of all your character's tradeskill infos, including cooldowns and inventory scans, all of which increase the mod's memory and processor footprint, which I'm not too keen on.. and even then, we'd still require two clicks to cast something; one to open the window, another to start the cast. Not the greatest setup.

THAT SAID, the fubar menu buttons are clickable to open their profession, and I'll add a little something to make this behavior more intuitive in the next version.

Hmmm, since you're already tracking cooldowns somehow, I'm wondering if it would be a lot of work to take tcg_tradeskills and incorporate it? Basically, it keeps track of cooldowns across all characters, allowing you to be alerted when you can make another Arcanite Bar with your alt and such.
Well, all I'm doing with cooldowns is grabbing the cooldown data for the tradeskill the same way the tradeskill window does, Manufac doesn't actually store and watch cooldowns..

If I were to add cross-character info, I'd probably go a lot more complicated than than just the cooldowns, but I'm not sure I want to do that at this point.

Once TBC hits and more of the item bonus info will be provided through the default UI (particularly for spells), it'd be easier to make a theorycraft-type mod with a low resource overhead.

I entered -- I hope it doesn't count against me that the only mods I have on worldofwar are over a year old ;)

They still seem to be doing some major adjustments to the PvP stuff, I'd have to guess that's the major holdup on 1.13. Well, that and talent balancing.. but I'd definitely expect to see a test realm up within the next few weeks.

    Updated zip in original post.

Updated Defaults. Moved FuBar plugin to different file; delete Manufac-FuBar.lua if you don't want the fubar plug. Added "Create X" to cast the tradeskill a specified number of times. Added position offsets.

As far as svn stuff is concerned, should I send cladhaire another email, or a PM, or is there someone else I should email? This zip file stuff is getting a little old. :(
