Mar 29, 2007I actually noticed that SCT performs better than blizzards scrolling combat text. The animation in blizzard's version gets choppy when a lot is happening while SCT actually doesn't exhibit this.Posted in: General AddOns
Mar 25, 2007Ace just gives a nice format to follow. Mainly I'm just using the AceConsole features so I don't have to write my own options code. There are options to switch the left/right orientation, vertical direction, width, and result color.Posted in: General AddOns

Mar 23, 2007As a healer I want to see ALL debuffs on a unit, not just the ones I can cure. It's important to see mortal strike, mind flay, etc.Posted in: Addon Ideas
Currently ag_UF has a Filter Buffs options that filters buffs and debuffs.
This option should be split into separate "Filter Buffs" and "Filter Debuffs" options. In which case, I personally would filter buffs but not debuffs.
It would also be nice to have the following options:
-Left of Buffs
-Right of Buffs
Mar 23, 2007As a healer I sometimes am so busy healing that I can't focus on the boss yells. Fights such as murmur have yells that indicate a boss ability. Highlighting these and shouting what to do would be very useful.Posted in: Addon Ideas
Is there an addon that automatically grabs these yells and spits them into raid warning? You could even get more sophisticated and display different messages for different yells as well as timers and whatnot.
Though it'd be difficult you could potentially create an addon that discovers the meaning of yells. If it sees that a sonic boom always follows a yell within X seconds it could setup a timer the second it sees the yell for the sonic boom.
An addon that tracks the abilities of a boss, the time since the last use of the ability and displays the average down time for that ability would be really useful.
Anyone know if any of this has been done yet?
Mar 20, 2007There are two range check plugins: aUF_RangeCheck and aUF_RangeCheck_MPosted in: Addon Ideas
I found that aUF_RangeCheck only worked on raid frames and not party frames, which was a nuisance.
aUF_RangeCheck_M works on both. However, I am unable to set the distance it's checking. aUF_RangeCheck had some options, but didn't work with party frames so I didn't play with it much.
X-Perl let you select the spell it used to check range, implementing this would be very useful. Also, why do these two similar plugins exist separately? Merging them would seem logical.
Mar 20, 2007I recently started using ag_UnitFrames after using X-Perl. There are a few features I still miss.Posted in: Addon Ideas
I really liked how xperl showed debuffs in addition to those you can cure. This is especially useful for healing. It's important to see things such as Mortal String, Touch of Murmur, etc.
X-Perl visually indicated mind-controlled party members. This is important for people who can CC the mind controlled player. I believe they showed a yellow exclamation point and some red highlighting around the frame.
Energy Gain Indicator
X-Perl had a little energy gain pulse bar that showed when you were about to gain 20 points of energy.
Integrated Druid Bar
X-Perl showed your mana as well as energy/rage as a druid if druid bar was installed.
If you could implement some of these ideas I'd appreciate it. Do these types of changes belong in the main ag_UnitFrames addon or should they be additional addons that add to ag_UnitFrames, like the barfader or banzai?
