posted a message on PitBull 4.0
I'll post this as a big report if this is indeed a bug, but I'm not sure if I'm just doing something I'm unable to.

http://www.hdimage.org/images/4l659h7mavpu9dhgttk1_ocrnhot032209233357.jpg

Recreating an old layout with Pitbull 4. On my player frame, the power bar on the left is set to left so that it has vertical status and depletes from the top. The health bar is set to center status to have normal from the right depletion. There is a blank space bar above the health bar, as that was the only way that I found to make the health bar shorter than the power bar.

When I'm not in combat, the health bar is fine, but when I'm in combat it looks like that. Did I do something wrong in assuming that I could have the two bars depleting in different directions? Or is this a bug? I can't figure out how to fix it if it is. Thanks :D

EDIT: okay very weird. I disabled a few modules and the problem is resolved. It was most likely the aggro module, but I'm going to do a little checking to see what it was for sure.

I just wondered how you got the buff timers to overlap the bottom edge of the icon. I've tried, but the text then is UNDER the icon >.<

71 ff:SetFont(NAMEPLATE_FONT, 12, "THINOUTLINE")
72 ff:SetShadowOffset(0, -0)
73 ff:SetShadowColor(0,0,0)
74 ff:SetDrawLayer("ARTWORK")
75 ff:ClearAllPoints()
76 ff:SetPoint("TOP",f,"BOTTOM",5,5)

Change the SetPoint. To make it look like Neal's I have mine at 2 and 12. If you want the color part, let me know.

Does that mean i need to remove the "Do you accept donations? Yes, send them to xxx@yyy.com using paypal" FAQ question in some of my addons that come with in-game help files?

It's kind of grayish as to whether it is "soliciting" or "requests for donation".

See that's gray for me, I don't know. This is a response to what carbonite has been doing for sure though.

Blizzard today has announced a new UI AddOn Development Policy, as follows:

With the continuing popularity of World of Warcraft user interface add-ons (referred to hereafter as “add-ons”;) created by the community of players, Blizzard Entertainment has formalized design and distribution guidelines for add-ons. These guidelines have been put in place to ensure the integrity of World of Warcraft and to help promote an enjoyable gaming environment for all of our players – failure to abide by them may result in measures up to and including taking formal legal action.

1) Add-ons must be free of charge.

All add-ons must be distributed free of charge. Developers may not create “premium”; versions of add-ons with additional for-pay features, charge money to download an add-on, charge for services related to the add-on, or otherwise require some form of monetary compensation to download or access an add-on.

2) Add-on code must be completely visible.

The programming code of an add-on must in no way be hidden or obfuscated, and must be freely accessible to and viewable by the general public.

3) Add-ons must not negatively impact World of Warcraft realms or other players.

Add-ons will perform no function which, in Blizzard Entertainment’s sole discretion, negatively impacts the performance of the World of Warcraft realms or otherwise negatively affects the game for other players. For example, this includes but is not limited to excessive use of the chat system, unnecessary loading from the hard disk, and slow frame rates.

4) Add-ons may not include advertisements.

Add-ons may not be used to advertise any goods or services.

5) Add-ons may not solicit donations.

Add-ons may not include requests for donations. We recognize the immense amount of effort and resources that go into developing an add-on; however, such requests should be limited to the add-on website or distribution site and should not appear in the game.

6) Add-ons must not contain offensive or objectionable material.

World of Warcraft has been given a “T” by the ESRB, and similar ratings from other ratings boards around the world. Blizzard Entertainment requires that add-ons not include any material that would not be allowed under these ratings.

7) Add-ons must abide by World of Warcraft ToU and EULA.

All add-ons must follow the World of Warcraft Terms of Use and the World of Warcraft End User License Agreement.

8 ) Blizzard Entertainment has the right to disable add-on functionality as it sees fit.

To maintain the integrity World of Warcraft and ensure the best possible gaming experience for our players, Blizzard Entertainment reserves the right to disable any add-on functionality within World of Warcraft at its sole discretion.

For more information…

If you are an add-on developer and have any questions about this User Interface Add-On Development Policy and how it pertains to the add-on that you’ve developed, please don’t hesitate to email us at WoWUI@blizzard.com.

Nope. It'll be released when it's done. I'm not committing changes to the SVN either, since you guys can't keep your grubby little fingers out of the cookie jar.

It's only because we love you Phanx :D

the little hearts are from the font "Volter Goldfish"; you can have them by using the character "|"

Thankyou, off to find that now :D

If someone posts exactly the same UI, slightly modified, again, i might cry :(

Yes simplesquare is pretty, but must EVERYBODY use Phanx's code over and over and over again? I miss individuality sometimes.

I'm having such a hard time lately coming up with ideas I'm hoping that if I just mash all the UI's I love on here together I'll come up with something amazing. Maybe when my cold goes away my brain will work again.

How did you remove the icon's in eavesdrop? been looking around all over for a solution to that , please share if its not too tricky :)

The layout is ace.. best i've seen in a long time!

In EavesDrop.lua on line 725 starts an if function.

Q u o t e:
if (value.type == INCOMING) then
text:SetJustifyH("LEFT")
text:SetWidth(db["LINEWIDTH"]-20)
text:SetPoint("LEFT", intexture, "RIGHT", 5, 0)
intexture:SetTexCoord(.1,.9,.1,.9)
outtexture:SetTexture(nil)...

Just add intexture:hide() somewhere between those lines. I personally placed it under Text:SetPoint... but that shuoldnt matter.
Then just a few lines lower you should see almost the same Elseif function with OUTGOING.

Just add outtexture:hide() somewhere in those lines like above. :)

Taken from some UI thread :D

posted a message on Chat resize Macro help please
It shows itself in party combat. I've got two macros made, one to enlarge the chat frame and one to shrink it. That's probably just fine for me since there doesn't seem to be a way I can toggle sThreatmeter on and off.

Thanks Phanx :D (that so sounded odd rhyming)

posted a message on Chat resize Macro help please
/omen toggle
/run dX = OmenAnchor:IsVisible() local f = ChatFrame3; local min_x = 245 min_y = 125 max_x = 365 max_y = 125 if dX then f:SetWidth(min_x); f:SetHeight(min_y); dX = nil; else f:SetWidth(max_x); dX = true; f:SetHeight(max_y); end

This is the code that I use to toggle omen and resize my chat box to fit omen inside my kgpanels. Recently I switched to sThreatmeter and I'd like to have another macro to resize my chat panel. I'm not sure it could toggle SThreat since I don't think sThreat has a toggle option yet.

Any help is appreciated thankyou.
