Bidder [b]isn't[b] needed by all the raiders. That being said, so long as you don't mind getting swarmed with tells for who wants what item then you manually adding that person to the bidding list then not everyone needs Bidder. DKPmon, used by your Master Looters/Officers/Raid Leaders whatever is the addon that tracks points awarded and deducted, as well as point totals for raid members. Bidder only expedites and simplifies the process of telling the Master Looter who wants what item.
Having run many raids as the Master Looter and having members who didn't install Bidder, I can say these are the disadvantages of people not running Bidder:
- Manually adding people to the bidding list.
- Larger margin for human error in terms of adding the correct person to the correct person for bidding in a sea of tells (personal experience creeping in)
- Takes longer to process and distribute loot. Instead of each raider clicking one button per item, now they are sending tells and item links that you have to process
- Lost tells
A great way to introduce the addon is once you have decided if it is something you want to try, encourage people to try it out over the course of a month. I'm sure you'll here some "oh cools" in Vent/TS the first time the bidding window pops up with the items in it. If it's something you want to keep, tell people you're going to be using it exclusively and everyone needs to get it. Give them a two week warning, then say "no bidder, no loot."
Don't know if its been mentioned, but chatlinks is "clink"ing stuff to trade channel, so those without Prat or chatlinks are seeing a lot of garbage and complaining about it. Works fine when I disable chatlinks via Prat though. Wasn't chatlinks meant to only work for custom channels anyway?
I've been noticing this happening as well. Seems to have started in the last week, but I don't have a revision number pegged when the issue surfaced.
Eliah:
think of the pools as two different sets of DKP. In the example you show, for instance, one pool (or amount of DKP) could be for your class set items, and the other one could be for non-set items that drop. You do not need to use more than one pool (or amount of DKP), but you can if you desired to. Did that clear anything up for you?
Not being able to check at the moment, but for "red" debuffs you should just be able to add them to the list of auras (by typing the name exactly as it appears) then assigning it to display as the icon (or a corner indicator, if you prefer).
I noticed that, but after restarting the game a few times and nuking all files named *sct* under WTF, the problem still persists. Maybe there's something else obvious I'm missing?
Another question: which category, if any, are lightning shield and flurry (and probably other such things) in? They seem to be hard-coded to always appear in frame 1 for me.
Lightning Shield and Flurry are in the sct_custom_events.lua file. When editing this file I recommend making a back up of your changes so you can easily copy it over after an addon update.
thank you...
thats it! I turn EQL off and now it works.
Thank you
No problem. Half of my arena team uses EQL, including myself, and we noticed it as soon as our team formed. As far as I know, none of the user-updates to EQL have fixed that bug.
I'm playing a Rogue, and i'm using ALT modifier to switch between bars to acess some of my skills, and all finishing moves that are on the bar that i siwtch to when i perss ALT, Gives Invalid Target when i try to use them on my target. This how ever does not occur with any of the other special attacks i have that grants a Combo Point such as Sinister Strike, Shiv, Couge, nor does this affect to any trinkets and items.

Alt-Clicking is usually the default "self-cast" key, both in Bartender and in the default Blizzard UI. Make sure that both of those are off, as you might be trying to perform an action on yourself, as opposed to your target.
Problem 1 : when dual wielding if I for example have a setup like this for mainhand/offhand. Switching between the sets will fail, as it can't find Weapon1 when it's in my offhand and not in my inventory.
Weapon 1 + Shield
Weapon 2 + Weapon1
Problem 2: When using a 2h I dont have anything in my offhand slot, it still saves it, and wow says "That slot is empty" every time I equip the set.
For problem 2, just unselect the offhand slot while leaving the mainhand slot selected with your two hander in it.
Hello. First off, don't blame me if it was already asked (and clearly described), I tried to search for similiar question, however I didn't found.
I like Grid, but I can't force anyone in my guild to use it as well. Is there any way to recieve information who they are healing and display such a information in Grid? Thank you.
If I recall correctly, Grid tries to gleam information about heals from other people in your group. I want to say it scans the combat log, but don't quote me on that. Short of more people using Grid in your group, I think that you will have to live with Grid's "best guess."

It does in fact have the Perl texture. I used it exclusively until very recently.
Also, thanks for the great work on BigWigs, it's very appreciated.

1. Use the Link Recipe menu entry for linking the components. They won't be clickable because you can only link 3 items in a line.
2. Someone posted an addon that they use for this functionality. It's not in Manufac itself.
3. Again, this is another addon.
Sorry if that wasn't as helpful as it could have been, but at least you know that you aren't overlooking it in Manufac :)

Does anyone else in your raid get disconnected after synch-ing the database, or just you?

Are you using Extended Quest Log? EQL causes the arena details frame to close when you click on it too.
