So, the bug that keeps on giving: panel lifts up above the items and you can't manipulate your inventory. How the hell do you resolve this? I've tried logging out, reloading the client, closing/re-entering...

I heard there was some bloated pack called Carbonite that has a Cart3-style map addon included, but I haven't bothered checking that out.

So much hate for Carbonite. It's a quest-database and -optimizer with an integrated map. (Their Lua is encrypted b/c it's part of a larger, for $$ package with this piece offered for free (they're pretty unobtrusive about the for-$$ bits))

Using Carbonite as a "map addon" is like buying a speedboat to step over a 10-inch puddle in the sidewalk; comparing it to, say, Mapster is silly.

That's cool then (well, that we aren't losing the old data, not that there may be problems).

posted a message on Need Help with function/method
Looking at the exact code rather than representation does a lot as it provides context.

MyAddon:FunctionName() and self:FunctionName() are basically the same thing where self = MyAddon (the value of self can be different depending on the context)

The only thing I can suggest w/o seeing your actual code is: make sure you spell the function the same way in both places (DoSomething ~= Dosomething ~= DoSomehting). When I get into WTF headscratchers like that I generally copy/paste the function name so I make damn sure it's all the same.

Fairly intriguing idea. I may give implementation a try in the note mod I'm babysitting when my current addon project settles down.

Be interesting to see different implementations.

Checked through the map addon I have installed, function is there and working fine, spitting back "SQUARE" just as I'd expect. Why this isn't picked up natively is annoying but hardcoding it seems to make it work.

Why is the display limited to a circle? To say this is problematic on a square minimap is an understatement and a half.

    /ai misc alert disable

that option has been there since 1 version after the warning was added, ie a long time.

*shakes head* ...when a mod has a GUI, why are options hidden/only avail in slash commands?

I'm glad it's there, don't get me wrong -- saves me editing the .lua every time you update -- but still...

Can you PLEASE put that warning/apology thing as an option? My warlocks get spammed with it every time AI opens or closes.

    Quote from Tuller »

Bongos3, however, does not have that limitation. So telling Bongos3 that you would want bar 1 to show the buttons on bar 2, when bar 2 is 1 button, and bar1 is 30, would not make very much sense. So instead, you tell Bongos3, "This bar should have this many sets of buttons. When I'm in cat form, use set 2, when I'm in bear form, use set 3, otherwise use set 1"

I'd like to say that, personally, I frickin' love how the system works now. For the first time since Flexbar I've an action bar/button setup that works precisely how I want, and is damn easy to setup and maintain.

It took me all of 5 minutes to figure out how to work the stances (what, there were instructions?) and set up my druid every so sweetly.

Is there something I'm missing about import/export? I exported my pitbull layout to a text file, loaded pitbull on the test server, imported it...and it isn't the same. Heights are wrong, elements are the wrong proportions, and I might be losing what's left of my tiny little mind but it seems that the imported layouts don't save. /confused

You can already do that; go to the frame you want, and go to "Bars", then choose HP/mana bars and choose "left/right" for positions, instead of center.

Unless I'm much mistaken when you put the bars left or right they go vertical.
