Still can't figure out how to remove the semi-transparent grey box that my hotbars sit in.

    Help please!

You're using the Dreamlayout style. Select either Default or Zoomed from the Style menu on the right click menu.

sure, you can use the /changeactionbar macro command.

Hmmm...then I must not be writing the macro right cause it's not working for me lol. Thanks for the response.

It seems to be buggy. On my hunter I want the same thing and I'd test the macro and it would work but later on it would stop working. I thought that it was Bartender3's fault until someone else in the guild complained about it and they weren't using BT3 so I guess it's down to Blizzard.

There is no reliable way of determining whether you are indoors or outdoors and the minimap scale is different between the two.

Could TouristLib be the answer for automatic switching between indoor and outdoor zone settings...?

I just looked at that and it gives zone info which isn't what I need. Whilst you do get zones that are all inside 99% of them have indoor and outdoor sections.

The best you can do, according to wowwiki, is get the zoom level of the minimap and compare it to the saved zoom settings for outdoors and indoors. The problem is that both zooms are in the range of 0-5 and so there is a very good chance that you'll have your indoor zoom set to the same as your outdoor zoom and so I can't detect where you are. There is an event fired that only occurrs on a reload or when you go from indoors to outdoors and vice versa so once you tell the mod where you are it should be pretty good at keeping track. It will break though if Blizzard make a change that causes that event to be fired more often than required like happens (or used to happen) with the inventory change message.

Guys, why not create a tiny FuBar plugin that uses IsSpellInRange() (might not even have to be for PoH itself but there might be another spell with a similar range) to display the number of units in range? A simple "3/5" might be easier to read than staring at the minimap. Also you could combine the values with Holy Nova: 3/4 then indicates that a holy nova would heal 3 units, while a PoH would heal 4 units.

That would work and be more accurate but I would prefer the graphical representation of the minimap overlay. With a simple number you would then have to work out who's not inrange and how best to fix it (admittidly this would probably be /p 'Move closer' but could be a simple step for the priest)

Besides, it's written now and I'm happy with it. :)

MinimapRange shows a coloured circle on the Minimap which can be used to indicate the range of beneficial area of effect spells.

this is a ....... terrible bug, bartender 2 DIDN'T have it.

There really is no need for posts like this. People do work on addons for no money at all so you have no right to be angry at them for any bugs that may be present no matter how bad they are.

I liked this idea so I started work on it.

It's going prety well,  I have the circle on the map and it resizes when you change the minimap zoom level and also resizes when you go from inside to outside.  The colour, alpha and range are configurable options.

    To do list:

    1. Try and get more accurate figures.  Currently if I place a target at full range of a spell and set the range accordingly then change the minimap zoom the player will be completely in the circle on some zoom levels and slightly out of it on others.

    2.  Do the same for inside.  It does change the circle for inside but the figures look to be different from the outside zoom levels.

The way that I am testing at the moment is with my hunter.  I mark a stationary non-aggressive mob and move in and out of bow range and in and out of wing clip range and then do the same with my pet and mend pet range.  This gives me numbers for 5, 8, 20 and 41 yards.  Hunter's Mark is 100 yards and you lose your target at about that range so I've not been able to use that as a reference.  I'll look on my other classes for abilities with different ranges to test the numbers and perhaps make them more accurate but they are going to be more difficult because I'll have to do it with party members due to the lack of tracking abilities.

Does anyone know of a better way to get the conversion between diameter of circle on the minimap and range?  I looked on wowwiki and didn't see any API calls to do it for me.

I think I'll still be using Squishy on my non healers just to use as an aggro monitor.

It's not an addon called "Skinner's Bottom Frame" - it is an addon called Skinner and that picture show it's bottom frame.

    Skinner is here: http://www.wowace.com/files/Skinner/Skinner.zip

posted a message on [POLL] Keypads...
    Quote from Fritti »

So I just bought a n52, and I'm having trouble deciding on a good layout. I know this is of course a very personal issue, but still I'd love some feedback on what others have chosen and why.

I have keys 3,8,7,9 as foward, back, strafe left and strafe right.
Keys 1,2,4,5,6,10,11,12,13,14 as the keys 1-0
The D-pad is shift, alt, ctrl and number pad 5 and I have flexbar set up to remap my actionbar when to a different page when a d-pad key is held down.
The orange button is also mapped to '-' which is mapped to an action bar button that doesn't shift and is always attack (attack for melee, shoot wand for casters and intelligent melee/range attack for my hunter)
Key 15 is my TS push-to-talk button.

My action bar buttons are arranged like this:
    00 00
    0   0
    0000X

X is the orange button and the others are as they visually map to the n52.

I don't use any shift states in the n52 software although that may change depending upon the restrictions put in place by the patch.

posted a message on A more configurable unitframe addon than aguf.
The main reason for this is that every option you add increases the size of the mod and the memory it uses. It's much better to find a unit frame mod that does what you want than one that has everything and can be configured to do what you want.

Everything that DUF can do that you don't use in your setup is a waste of memory.

I think that Visor2 will be Visor converted to Ace 2. If you had problems with the interface into Visor then you'll have the same issues with Visor2.

lol - it seems like developers are like buses - wait for ages and then three come along.  I started a conversion earlier this week.  I haven't got as far as Skycatcher so I'll leave mine.
