    Hi Gabriel,
    Try
    Skinner.db:GetNamespace("ViewPort", true).profile.shown

    Sweet thanks your always very helpful as always.

    I am still learning to work with Ace DBs and thought it might be something along those lines.

    Hello, was wondering how I now check for the viewport mod enabled and if it is shown,

    This was my old code now that I used to use, any help would be appreciated....
    --Check Viewport State for skinner and Viewport
    local function CheckViewport()
      if IsAddOnLoaded("Skinner") then
        if Skinner.db.profile.ViewPort.shown then
          skinnerVP = 1
        elseif not Skinner.db.profile.ViewPort.shown then
          skinnerVP = 2
        end
      end
      if IsAddOnLoaded("Viewport") then
        if Viewport.db.profile.enabled then
          viewport = 1
        elseif not Viewport.db.profile.enabled then
          viewport = 2
        end
      end
    end

    I used this code to check if skinners viewport or other viewport mods are enabled, this allows me to turn it off and on whenever my mod Paparazzi2 took a screenshot.

    I am looking at your new code and it is all localized,
    Anyway to add me a function to do this in your new Viewport module code??

    For some reason Skinner seems to be lowering the alpha of the combat log text both on the combat log frame and on the worldmap frame. I've had to disable skinning of both frames in order to be able to read the text on them.

    I checked the two text color settings in Skinner's color menu, and they're set to full opacity.

    Having this same issue with the questframe as well, cannot read the text of the quest to accept in the frame.

    See:
    http://www.wowwiki.com/API_COMBAT_LOG_EVENT

    Without seeing the rest of your code, I couldn't tell you for sure, but if you're trying to detect when a rare mob does something, you'll probably want to use the third parameter (GUID of the unit originating the event) instead of the sixth (GUID of the unit being targetted by the event).

    Also, the GUID parameters passed with the event are fully formed GUIDs; you don't need to add "0x" prefixes to them.

    Finally, running tonumber on a GUID will return nil.

    local bossIDs = LibStub("LibRareMobIDs-1.0").RareMobIDs

    local f = CreateFrame("Frame")
    f:RegisterEvent("COMBAT_LOG_EVENT_UNFILTERED")
    f:SetScript("OnEvent", function(self, event, timestamp, eventType, sourceGUID, sourceName, sourceFlags, destGUID, destName, destFlags, ...)
    	if eventType == "UNIT_DIED" then
    		-- something died
    		local mobID = sourceGUID:sub(9, 12), 16)
    		if bossIDs[mobID] then
    			-- a boss died
    			-- do stuff here
    		end
    	end
    end)

    Oh, and your LibRareMobIDs-1.0 is missing tons of rare mobs...

    Thanks that cleared things up for me... and I thought I had all the rares, grabbed all I could find from WoWHead, is their a better location of rares with GUIDs that I can datamine for the library??
