you dont happen to know it 3.1 fixes the totems not showing to?
hate having to install another addons jsut to see them

You don't need install other UI, just open the XPerl Option UI(/xperl), then disable and enable the "Blizzard Totem Frame" and it appears again.
But the only problem is... you must do it when you log-out and log-in WoW every time... just a little annoying, but it TOTALLY works. ;)

No idea what time Zeksie will fix that... :(

hello,
for some reason my druid mana bar is gone, the bar i get when i shift into bear or cat form to see my mana. this bar has been added to xperl some time ago without the need of an extra addon. i tested everything (clean wtf and interface only installed xperl, no effect). tryed the versions r259, r262 and r264 from this site. i tested even with smartycat and druidbar installed additionly, no effect. is there anywhere a setting for this bar? im so sad what can i do :((

Someone posted solution in comments section of X-Perl Project's page.
http://www.wowace.com/comments/24945-wurzel-for-those-interested-in-the-mana-bar-not-showing/

For those interested in the ManaBar-not-showing-anymore-Issue for druids, I found the solution for it. Its the new UpdateClass function in the XPerl_Player/XPerl_Player.lua. Small mistake there in Line 210:

it is:

local playerClass = select(2, UnitClass(self.partyid))

but it should be

playerClass = select(2, UnitClass(self.partyid))

So if you simply remove the "local " in that line you got things working again. Should prolly also fix problems with other class reliant things not working correctly.

I'm not test yet because I don't have a Druid character.

Let's hope Zeksie can fix that and update... :p

Ok. Made it usable. Any other issues can wait until some of their bugs are fixed. :)

Thanks your update. I'm happy the aggro/pet aggro display bug in zhTW client has been fixed officially.:D

But the Blizzard Totem Frame display bug still alive... :(

http://www.wowace.com/projects/xperl/tickets/89-totem-timers-no-longer-working/

It still usable if user toggle "Blizzard Totem Frame" off then on in X-Perl's Config UI but every time you log-out then log-in, it disappears again. Then you must set over and over again. What's annoying thing... :(

Can you fix it, please? : )

Well, is there anything I can change manually to make it work for myself temporarily? Btw, this error isn't occuring in Pitbull etc, seems to be X-Perl specific. C'mon, there's always been PTR workarounds for addons during every PTR phase. ;)

3.1 is a big update, so Blizzard may changes APIs frequently in this period.

I think Zeksie just want/will fix it if those Blizzard's changes are apply in live servers. He just don't want always change his code due Blizzard frequently changes those APIs.

X-Perl is one-man work, and it's not an ACE-based UI in WoWACE, and Zeksie has his own life.
So, be patient, if Zeksie want to fix, he will. Don't be stupidly to force him. ;)

Anyway, I'm not the author. Hope that Zeksie reads this, but dunno if he'll make a build for PTR testing.

Send PM to Zeksie is a good idea.
Because he's busy and he said he don't read forum's posts as often as he should.

I still waiting his X-Perl updates that locale update/aggro text problem in zhTW... Zeksie said it will send shortly at a week ago, but X-Perl still no updates now. I think he was too busy so he didn't commit updates. :(

I'm updated zhTW locale again.(Attachment)

And I finger out how to fix the "?" display in "Aggro"/"Pet Aggro" (in zhTW or others double-byte locale) string bug.
(Sorry, it's late I know.)

In X-Perl_RaidHelper\XPerl_AssistFrame.xml 's line 440 and line 445 :

<FontString name="$parentPlayer" outline="THICK" font="Fonts\FRIZQT__.TTF" justifyH="CENTER" text="XPERL_AGGRO_PLAYER" hidden="true">

...

<FontString name="$parentPet" outline="THICK" font="Fonts\FRIZQT__.TTF" justifyH="CENTER" text="XPERL_AGGRO_PET" hidden="true">

The font file FRIZQT__.TTF doesn't has any Chinese or double-byte chatacters so it can't display any UTF-8 double-byte characters then it display "?" instead.

I was want to change the fontname but I'm afraid it will f***ed up other locales so I can't do that.
(Some other unofficial versions did this trick.)

Then I found this in line 418-424...

......
<Scripts>
<OnLoad>
self:SetScript("OnUpdate", XPerl_RefreshAggro)
if GetLocale() == "koKR" then
XPerl_AggroPlayer:SetFont("Fonts/K_Damage.TTF", 42, "THICKOUTLINE")
XPerl_AggroPet:SetFont("Fonts/K_Damage.TTF", 16, "THICKOUTLINE")
end
</OnLoad>
......

It looks like the for other locale to change the fontname...
So I change that with......

......
<Scripts>
<OnLoad>
self:SetScript("OnUpdate", XPerl_RefreshAggro)
if GetLocale() == "koKR" then
XPerl_AggroPlayer:SetFont("Fonts/K_Damage.TTF", 42, "THICKOUTLINE")
XPerl_AggroPet:SetFont("Fonts/K_Damage.TTF", 16, "THICKOUTLINE")
end
if GetLocale() == "zhTW" then
XPerl_AggroPlayer:SetFont("Fonts/bKAI00M.TTF", 42, "THICKOUTLINE")
XPerl_AggroPet:SetFont("Fonts/bKAI00M.TTF", 16, "THICKOUTLINE")
end
</OnLoad>
......

Now, it works very fine, no more "?" appears! :D
That can adds other locale "if GetLocale() ==..." like zhCN or somethings if it needs...

my 2 cents, if you translate anything, use the original version instead of other users modified codes. And test before submit.

I was checked both the enUS and old zhTW to know what strings missing in zhTW.. maybe I oversight on those strings.

Next time I'm sure do from original version. Thanks your advice. :D

Whatever, the download package will give an annoying -?- for every aggro and this is rather scary when regular users saw this in raid.

Yeah, I know, I feel sorry about that.

Hmm... I was tested and know that bug was exist.
But I forgot changed that strings back... :'(

Whatever, I just hope Zeksie can back soon and change those two strings back and can fix the "-?-" problem... :)

The TW locale of Xperl options have 4 missing lines, here's the update.

BTW, Please don't translate this in raid helper, the font won't display properly

XPERL_AGGRO_PLAYER		= "- AGGRO -"
XPERL_AGGRO_PET			= "- PET AGGRO -"

The same display problem also happens in ZOMG portal module. The big font won't display properly in TW client which might cause by UTF8 display requirement.

Thanks your update. I fixed my copy to make sure I will not missed them again.

About Aggro messages in raid helper. That was fixed by other unofficial X-Perl version
(I remember that version was by original zhTW translator and he didn't (or can't...who knows) told Zeksie to fix the stupid font problem. Then his version of X-Perl v 2.x.x had fixed the Aggro font problem but not fixed in official X-Perl releases.)

So I think it can be fixed by Zeksie. :D

I know some TW/HK players can't know what Aggro mean, so I think it should be translated. But still thanks your point. :)

I updated the zhTW translations... holy crap... the original translator still missing for a long time so I decided to make a updated version for WotLK. :D

Hope it doesn't suck because I can't sure everything is right or not. :p

EDIT : Updated - Fixed a lua file was stupidly saved as ANSI.
EDIT 2 : ......in X-Perl_RaidHelper, the string "XPERL_AGGRO_PLAYER" and "XPERL_AGGRO_PET" cannot display any Chinese words, it display "?" instead. Maybe it's a font problem.

The following is missing in the file:
Line 94-96

L["Use Same Background"] = true
L["Use the same background settings for the title bar as the main window's background"] = true
L["Title Bar Background Options"] = true

Line 175-176

L["Pet Bar Color"] = true
L["The background color for pets"] = true

Oops, I just opened your attachment's zhTW.zip and edited it, forgot check it with omen3's enUS.lua... :oops:

Looks like that zhTW.lua is so old. :(

I fixed it and it should totally fine. Thanks a lot! :D

Sorry, I updated the file again. :P
Fixed some typo and phraseology(maybe not good for non-Taiwan user, I'm sorry about that).

I don't think "Blizzard" should be translated, even some people think it should. :)
