    As I see it you have stopped supporting Acheron which is still working perfectly (there are a few tickets pending but they are few). I finally have more time to invest into coding and would love to take over maintenance and finally release my Acheron_Graph idea. If you're willing please transfer rights to me if/when you see this.

    Hmm anyone knows what event is fired when a raid warning in the middle of the screen occurs ? I don't mean CHAT_MSG_RAID_WARNING but the one that appears in the middle of the screen

    Thanks Orion, doing it is not the problem, it's just that I don't want to duplicate sombody's work if I don't have to :)
    Well my raid was cancelled yesterday so I actually kicked my laziness in the crotch and came up with ChatRaidIconTranslator (project was awaiting approval yesterday, will upload townight)... Still needs a few tweaks with the accentuated chars (I suspect UTF8 encoding is the culprit)...
    Anyway I have an additional coding-related question : that's the first time I deal with lua patterns, how do I make a pattern case-insensitive ? For the moment I have what amounts to string.gsub(chatMsg, "{croix}", "{rt8}") but this doesn't capture {Croix} or {crOix}...

    Yep but rt1/2/3 etc implies the guy that has the macro knows what each of the number stands for or do trial/mistakes until he got it right...
    Much simpler if I do not relie on any intelligence/knowledge on the other side :p

    Anyone knows if there is a raid icon translator ? I play in english while most of my fellow raiders play in french, I would love to have a small addon that would look for any {croix}, {crâne} etc in chat and translate it in {cross}, {skull} etc...
    It looks pretty straightforward from a coding standpoint but I don't want to do it if someone already thought of this...

    From a gameplay standpoint I completely agree with Snargul, good UI should lead to good gameplay. Having a visual cue for dot expiration goes against good gameplay, a good dot widget should allow you to plan ahead, not react to an event...

    I have begun coding a small BigWigs plugin aimed at organizing the whole "who bites whom" mess of Lanathel.

    What it should do :
    - Maintain a descending sorted list of damage per raid member
    - Every time someone gets the 100% dmg debuff (either by getting bitten or by biting) he gets a tell indicating who to bite (the first non-bitten person in the DPS list)

    For the moment it is drycoded, I intend to test it asap and upload it.

    I need something very simple : I want to target a player knowing his name from a button in an ace3 GUI. This is out of combat, it's only so I am able to find him easier in the crowd.

    I maintain an addon called ShadowGreenLight, the display part of it is essentially a square frame with a regular rounded border which makes it look like a standard Blizzard button.Additional context info : I make the background color of the frame vary, I also have a texture added to the frame that I show/hide on some events.
    A lot of my users are begging me to support ButtonFacade for specious "default display is ugly" reasons :)

    1/ Is it possible considering that I'm not exactly using a button ? Would I need to rewrite the code for that to happen or can I keep my simple frame + border + texture ? I'm not at all familiar with the "button" framework (is there one ?)
    2/ Is there a quick howto I can refer to ?
