I switched to MSBT after finding Parrot wasn't working, and now I really miss the Parrot-style static scrolling. Alas.

posted a message on Cartographer_Fishing Broken
Since at least a week ago, Cartographer_Fishing has stopped working entirely for me. Icons no longer appear on my map, and it doesn't show up in the config menu at all, though the addon still seems to load. I get the following error messages every time I log in:

    Error: Talismonger-3.0 requires Babble-Spell-2.2.
    File: ...ographer_Fishing\Talismonger-3.0\Talismonger-3.0.lua
    Line: 21
    Count: 1
    --------------------------------------------------
Error: Cannot find a library instance of Babble-Spell-2.2.
    AddOn: Cartographer_Fishing
    File: addon.lua
    Line: 1

It seems Babble-Spell-2.2 is obsolete, as there's now a 3.0 in the WoWAce Update, but installing the compatability library didn't fix the problem. If someone could take the time to update this addon, I'd appreciate it a lot! :)

Sure, you don't have to. But since you have the opportunity, why not use them?

posted a message on A PvP "Bossmods"
Bossmods made PvE easy by letting you know what was happening in the fight that you needed to be aware of. Why couldn't a mod do somewhat the same thing for PvP?

What I'm thinking of is a mod that will pop up with announcements and perhaps graphics in a positionable frame (or, I guess, in SCT/Parrot/MSB/FCT etc) that let you know when people are casting noteworthy spells on you or you're afflicted by noteworthy debuffs.

For example, "Mana Burn!" when you've been mana burned, "Viper Sting!" when it's on you, "Kidney Shot!", "Intercept Stun!", "Blind!", "Cyclone!", "Entrapment!" and other stuns and immobilizing things, "Wing Clip!", "Hamstring!", "Frost Bolt!" and the like, and "Silence!", "Counterspelled - Nature!" and other interrupt spells.

I always have a problem keeping track of these kinds of things in PvP, so a mod like this would help me out a lot. Or perhaps there's something that does this already that someone might point me towards? :)

posted a message on ClosetGnome - Wear it or lose it.
I've just switched to ClosetGnome from Itemrack after having lost all my sets a second time, and so far I've been very impressed! The only thing I miss is that with the keybindings for different sets in ClosetGnome, the keybinding will equip the set but not, after a second press of the binding, switch back to what I had on before. It's not a big deal though, since the only thing I used this feature of Itemrack for was to switch in and out my spirit weapon for innervate, and ClosetGnome does that automatically now!

    Thanks a lot!

If I add some notes of my own in-game, and then update the addon, my notes will be saved, right?

This seems like a very useful addon! Have you considered making notes sharable between users in-game? I'm not sure how weighty that would make this though...

When I mouseover the Stormchops item in my tradeskill window, TSI spams my chat log with the message "TSI: Found unknown source Cw". It keeps spamming as long as I hover my mouse over the item. It also gives the message when I mouseover the Stormchops item in the TSI frame, but only once.

posted a message on Cartographer - Cowtip conflict?
I recently started levelling Mining on my hunter alt, and found that though I had Cartographer_Mining enabled, it wasn't picking up any of the nodes I was mining. This happened with Cartographer_herbalism on my Shaman too, and so I decided to do some testing. I eventually found that what was causing this problem was Cowtip, as with it enabled none of the nodes registered, and without it enabled they were picked up just fine. I've switched to TinyTip for now, which doesn't cause the same conflict, but I hope this can be fixed!

posted a message on Mr Plow v4.5 (Updated 09/05/06)
It would be nice to have a feature that sorts/organizes your bags and bank together as one big item-holding collective. I use Mr. Plow on my bank alt and keep things in my bags and bank indiscriminately, so it would be nice to have a way to easily put all my cloth of a similar type together, or my leather of a similar type, et cetera.

    Just an idea.

I'm not sure what I was doing that caused it, but I got this error:

Error: attempt to index local 'panel' (a nil value)

Did you delete any panels before this happened, or change profiles?

Yes, I changed profiles at the beginning of my session. Guess I should have reloaded my ui like the addon said :)

posted a message on Maintaining Multiple Interfaces
Try ACP. It lets you switch between different sets of addons by reloading your user interface, saving up to 10 different sets. You can have one set for raiding, one for arenas, one for soloing etc. changing which addons you want to use in each situation.
