Ok, I have managed to stumble my way into some very basics of the Ace3 Libs, but I found a huge wall when trying to do some very basic stuff ( like building a list of selectable rows for example).

I searched the forums, old wowace and find the documentation to be somewhat poor.

Is there some holy grail resource im missing, or am i destained to fail!

Cmon, gimme some traction to make a decent grab at learning this.

i like the idea of a !makeme <recipeLink> x <int> for those who dont need to have an addon.
then if possible the crafter would have the wispered items queued up in something like a to-do list. Certainly a simpler approach. It all depends on how far one wants to go with complexity.

Not knowing a hell of a lot about how data is transfered to other users makes it hard to give definative direction, however my thoughts are:

User adds items from the linked trade skill window which are then stored into a local database:

Once they have the complete list of items they require ie
    eg OrderX{Name, Items{ItemA{ItemID, Qty}ItemB{ ItemID, Qty}}}
(and any other variables that comprise the depth of the order)are sent to the crafter of choice providing they have the addon. I guess it would be safer to keep this in guild.

When the crafter opens up their trade skill window there will be a side panel which they can process. You dont really need to interfere with the crafting side, this could be done manually with the current trade skill window just ticking them off as completed.

The crafter could perhaps turn off auto accepting requests when not open for business (9am-5pm monday to fridays :P).

Once the crafter has completed the item, a message is relayed to the person wanting the item which marks it complete.

Im kinda using this as a crash course in brain surgery, so all methods or articles that may help would be appreciated.

A few of have been talking and we thought of an addon that could extend the profession link window to include an 'Order Basket'.

You could browse the craftables, specify what mats you have, the quantity and add this to a basket of craftables that you require then submit this to the crafter as an order.

Or simply just submit requests to a queue for the crafter to be able to process.

Post raids our crafter are busy with tells flying everywhere, people asking for lots of various things.

With a queueing cart style system it would be a hell of a lot easier.

I'm trying to do a hack where I automatically queue items into Skillet based on external, non-Skillet events.

I peeked into the third party hooks for the external API and can't find any suitable functions.

I found a local function add_items_to_queue() in SkilletQueue.lua, would it work for me if I just make it non-local and call Skillet.add_items_to_queue from my addon?

We were just talking about a mod to do this in guild last night.... eirie!

I envisage a shopping cart style mod were players place orders and send them to the queue of crafters.
