    i think that they would take into consideration fourm activity (useful and insightfull posts), IRC activity, as well if u have a addon that you developed in circulation at a "normal" distro site...

    I'm writing my first mod and wanted to host in here. Not a huge deal though. I can release it to the standard sites and then ask again later about SVN access.

    a decleration of intentions in your inital email might infact convince the powers-that-be that assigning you a ID is not a mistake.

    Yeah, I'll keep that in mind when I ask again about getting an account. Thanks!

    ie, did you read the rules and sign the page?

    Yup and yup for me. I sent my request in about 2 weeks ago, give or take, and was about to send a follow-up email. Hmm, too much pestering? Not enough? It's so hard to tell :-)

    So, if I start asking on IRC, who should I look for online before asking?

    There is an addon which scans your tradeskills and displays any recipes that you are missing in the chatframe along with a little information about where they drop.

    FGTradeLacker

    Looks like the author of this mod is no longer updating it so you may not see any new recipes added in the upcoming patch unless someone else takes it over.

    Yes, I use CCBreakWarner as well. Non-Ace, but does the job very well.

    I usually play a warlock, and I am a huge fan of CCBreakWarner as well. I use it for Seduce and Fear and I strongly recommend the mod. It rocks.

    I'm attaching a patch to the current version of Stitch that adds the method SetAltCharacterItemLookupFunction() to the public API.

    If this method is set, then it will be used to fill out the "numcraftablewalts" and "numwalts" fields. The user has to write the function that will do the actuual lookup. For example:

    local function get_item_count(item)
      return 5;
    end

    local stitch = AceLibrary("Stitch-1.1")
    if stitch.SetAltCharacterItemLookupFunction then
      -- Older version of the Stitch library may not have this
      -- routine. If they don't then we just don't included item
      -- counts from alt chaaracter.
      stitch:SetAltCharacterItemLookupFunction(get_item_count);
    end

    .....

    local s = stitch:GetItemDataByName("Linen Bandage");

    if s.numcraftablewalts then
      print(s.numcraftablewalts
         .. " items can be crafted using mats from all alts")
    end

    Edit: fixed example code

    Ok... i'm missing something I know it lol, but i can't figure out where to even start to customize this.

    Try "/icehud" in an edit box. That's usually my first guess when configuring a new mod.

    Hey, I'm working with this libary and have run into a bit of a snag. When the trade skill window is first opened, I can't figure out how to tell if the list of recipes has been scanned by Stitch or not.

    Well, I'm now keeping track of which tradeskills have been scanned myself, as there appears to be a race condition when I check the list maintained by Stitch while it is responding to an event that triggers a rescan, not a big deal.

    I can now delay showing the tradeskill window until the list of recipies is scanned. I'm not sure how I'll go about displaying a window while the scan is in progress, so I'm looking for any and all advice about that.

    Hey, I'm working with this libary and have run into a bit of a snag. When the trade skill window is first opened, I can't figure out how to tell if the list of recipes has been scanned by Stitch or not.

    What I'd like to do is pop up a window that say "scanning recipes" and not display my mod's window until the list of recipies has been cached.

    Any suggestions on how I can get at the information I need? Or is
    there a simpler solution that I am missing?

    Thanks.
