    Tried to open engineering on my mage through tcgTradeskills. Skillet didnt open, got the blizzard window instead, and an error:

    Opened it twice via AutoBar after that. Skillet opened this time, but I got;

    This will have to be done by Ackis, I don't have any control over the behaviour of the button.


    • Adding support for RPG Outfitter's CharacterProfiler (preferred) and/or MyBags's MyBagsCache as bank/inventory storage method(s).
    • Embedding OneBag's OneStorage library as a fall back storage method when no 3rd-party one is available, so that Skillet would become self sufficient in this department.


    I've filed the request for RPG Outfitter's (etc) as http://jira.wowace.com/browse/SKL-55. I'm not really keen to have Skillet track inventory itself as there are just so many mods out there that doa much better job at it and I don't want to make Skillet more complex than it has to be.

    I was able to reproduce this and have checked in a possible fix. I was having a lot of trouble getting this to fail consistently so I'm not 100% sure the change I put it will work in all cases. Please try out the newest version of Skillet and let me know how it works for you.


    Secondly I noticed a lag when I am crafting BS items. Its seem the simpler items lag only slightly but when I crafted a Truesilver Champion for my warrior the screen locked up for about 5 seconds before coming free again. Seems the more complex a item is the more laggier it is.


    Hmmm. More complex items probably use more reagents and cuase more inventory changes when they are crafted. It could be that the code that tracks inventory changes it slowing things up. I'll poke around and see what I can find.

    Yup, it should be. I have not tested that particular integration since the 2.3 patch was release, but it should still work.

    Yeah, I've seen a couple of people report this and I'll be looking into it tomorrow.

    Edit: Looks like the problem is that Skillet does not account for buttons being added more than once. AckisRecipeList adds its button each time the tradeskill window is shown. I'm going to rework Skillet a bit so that added buttons are independent of each other.

    Try using the "Rescan" button and see if it still happens. If it does, please let me know.

    This is a smaller symptom of a larger problem with Skillet in the way that is tracks which recipe is selected/queued. I'm working on a longer term fix that should alleviate this, but it will be a while before I get it ready to release.

    To clarify on the first, recursive crafting would be awesome. It's abut the only thing I REALLY miss from ATSW, since engineering has so many complex mats. Good example would be an Ornate Spyglass. 2 Bronze Tubes, 2 Whirring Gizmos, and a Copper Modulator - That's a lot of clicking for one item.

    Also, as stated, smelting Felsteel and Hardened Adamantite.

    I'm really not sure how feasible it would be without coding changes, so I'll just hope and wish. ^_^


    The recursive crafting (within the same tradeksill) is already in, if you include the bug fix I checked in a bout 5 minutes ago.

    Later on I plan to queue up items in different tradeskills if you need them and can craft them. However, you'll need to switch to the other tradekskill to actually create them. Crafting items from different tradeskills would require a very large rework of how Skillet operates internally and I don't expect that to happen any time soon. Sorry.

    Well, not quite :)


    Setting up hardened adamantite and felsteel to an smelt their base components if needed, and to take into account the base ore when calculating how many can be created.

    ie I click smelt 1 felsteel bar, the interface automatically adds 'smelth 3 fel iron' and 'smelt 2 eternium' followed by 'smelt felsteel'. A similar setup for hardened adamantite.


    This is actually the way it's supposed to work now. You've just found a bug. I'm checking in a fix for this night now.


    A way to move items in queue up or down in the list

A lot of times, particularly with jc, people may or may not be sure what they want to put in their socket. A lot of times they ask me for a variety of options. Having custom categories where I can just group all the melee gems together allows me to just click on that category and provide them with some quick links to all the gems that say have hit, crit, strength, and agility. Typing that all in to a filtering system every time would just be clunky. As the only JC for my guild I do a ton of cuts, esp after raid when everyone wants their epic gems cut. And I have craftlist. So yes they can send me tells with !gem, but they are spoiled and only a fraction use the "self-serve" option.

    It's not just jc. I noticed on my cooking too. I have that all grouped by non-buff, melee, healing, petfood, stam etc. Having them all uncategorized was horrible. >< If it's not something you feel you can fit into the mod, that's not a problem. I can just stick w/ the slightly buggy and laggy ASTW. Just wanted to provide my 2 cents on the mod. :)


    I had though that this was already logged, but I can't find it. I've logged this as http://jira.wowace.com/browse/SKL-47 and I do plan to implement it when I can. However, this will require a fairly big change to the code and I'm not sure I'll be able to get to it soon.
