Is it me (as in a bug in my addon), or does this library sometimes have trouble pulling up talents while in a raid setting?

I use it in two separate addons, and have not had any trouble. Could you be more specific with the issues you're seeing?

    Add an entry:
    ["color"] = false,
    to your namelist_options.

See GridStatusReadyCheck.lua (part of Grid) for an example.

I've been using gridstatusrole on grid but since 3.3.5, the color picker tool for the role has been bugging hard and won't let me save the color or opacity for one of the 4 roles.

Thank you for the bug report. Fixed in 1.2.1.

I don't want something like WIM that breaks it all out, as I have enough trouble monitoring one chat window and I don't often carry on more than one conversation at a time.

WIM has a tabbed mode. See here for instructions on enabling it:

Just in case I'm blind is there a way to add specific debuffs to a blacklist?

Absolutely. Just add a new aura status for the debuff in question, and don't assign it to an indicator.

A friend recently installed this and now when they click on their own portrait their right click menu's are gone for things like leaving a party or such. Is there any way to renable these?

I assume you're talking about Clique.

    You have two options:
    1) Don't bind a naked right click (or naked left click, as it's useful for targeting units).
    2) Bind "Show Menu" and "Target Unit" to another click combination. You can do this in Clique with the "Custom" button.

I tested it once, but would be awesome to auto change to the person I am healing without changing my target :)

It does change to the person you're healing, iirc.

That may be a lot of information to pack into a little Grid cell.

Have you tried VisualHeal? It might be just what you're looking for.

I'll give that a shot, looks like what I'm looking for. Question since I'm at work. Does it use icons or text?

    Yes. :)

    Text, icons, colors.

This should probably go into the Grid subforum.

At any rate, have you tried GridStatusRole? It's not quite the same thing, as it uses talent inspection. However, it works whether or not you've used the dungeon finder, it works in raids, and it works in BGs.

Completely quit WoW, and delete your Grid saved variables:

    World of Warcraft/WTF/Account/ACCOUNT/SavedVariables/Grid.lua

Relaunch WoW, and see if that fixes it.

Thanks for the reply. From what I gather from your post I can download and drop LibHealComm 4.0 into my WoW/Interface/Addon/ directory and X-Perl should automatically see and load it. When I get into a raid it will automatically be running/working without me having to do anything else?

    Correct.

    Quote from CagedTich
Also, people using the latest release of Grid should have LibHealComm 3.0, which can't directly communicate with LibHealComm 4.0.

    Correct.

    Quote from CagedTich
But since the release version of Grid has LibWrapperHealComm-1.0 they should be able to see my heals without any special configuration.

Incorrect. The current release of Grid doesn't use LWHC, as LWHC depends on LHC4. The alpha of Grid includes it.

    Quote from CagedTich
Finally, for my X-Perl using LibHealComm 4.0 to be able to see other people running LibHealComm 3.0 I will need to put LibWrapperHealComm-1.0 in my addon folder.

    Correct.

    Quote from CagedTich
Then run an addon like Visual Heal that will load it. I could then just decide in-game to not show the visual heal stuff.

If you put LWHC and LHC4 into your addons folder, you don't need VisualHeal. It's just another way to load the libraries.
