Wow, you're joking right? I had no idea it was possible to even see the health of walls and such because i've been using CowTip for so long.. would also like to know how to "fix" this
is there any way to drag the chocolatebars around or move them somehow, other than simply adding chocolate bars on top of other ones?
i'm trying to replace fubar with ldb and this seems to be the best option for my UI, but I can't get the chocolate bar in the right position, see my UI screenshot to see what I mean: http://s.wowinterface.com/preview/pvw30154.png
does anyone know if there's a way to make Text cut itself off after a certain amount of characters? i'm having problems with long NPC /character names being too long and breaking the aesthetics of the frame they are in, so is there a way to make the names go like "Thisname Istoolong" -> "Thisname Istoo..."?
A personal pov how you could improve your UI to look more clean and gives a you a better view of what is going on.
Use a lower UI scale.
Why do you need big scaled unitframes? using grid and your party unitframes cover most of the left area of your screen.
You are using fubar to display information on your screen such as gold, spec, location. Then again you have bagbar and micromenu showing. With Lynstats or Fubar_PerformanceFu you can display the same information on your Fubar.
Same thing for the bagbar.
Do you really need all those skills/spells showing at once? Why don't you use fadeout bars or onclick show?
Thats enough sorry if i was too long with my reply ;)
hm, I use the lowest UI scale possible in the interface settings.
I like to have Grid to see the whole raid status like dead, alive, offline etc, and I don't know I just like to see my party and their buffs/debuffs, it's just personaly preference and at the end of the day if anyone uses my UI they just have to turn "show party frames while in party/raid always" or whatever off, etc.
I like to have the bag bar because I have a strict sorting regime in my bags and I know what stuff I put into which bag, so rather than clicking the fubar bag_fu to open all bags I can click the one I want open, or ctrl+b to open all, I merely use bag_fu to have a quick glance at how much bag space I have left whilst grinding or something. I did have the micro menu disabled but I couldn't remember all the keybindings for each UI window so I squeezed it back in.
not sure what lynstats is or why performance fu helps with the micromenu but thanks for the tips ;o
so... 3 months until we get this proper version of the client then? seriously, how big of a timeframe are we looking at to get all those nice things in the post ?
To be honest, don't expect curse client to find manually installed addons, it works better if you delete (Backup first) you addons folder and start from scratch.
care to explain why I shouldn't expect the curse client to simply scan my addons folder at startup to determine if I have an addon installed, or not? it's what the WAU did, and it's, well, it's pretty damn obvious that the curse client should too - and they want us to pay for a premium account when the core client can't even automatically scan for my addons like this? ridiculous.
I think until at least version 1.0.18 or something is released i'll stick with wowmatrix, it works
can I just ask what the problems are people have with wowmatrix? from waht I can see, theyre not charging people to use their tools full features at all like the curse client, it is just a proxy which makes updating addons a little easier - at the end of the day does it matter which tool you use to update your addons? they are both downloading the same amount of bandwith and same files, you are just getting them a different way.. what exactly is wrong with that? there's tons of other third party updaters in this sub-forum here, why do people only have a problem with wowmatrix?
seems to be a problem with some libs being mismatched on different addons causing lots of errors and causing addons not to work... how far away is disembedded libs? I really can't play now because most of my addons (Pitbull etc) won't work because of this problem and I don't know how to solve it.
don't know about everyone else but I havn't even been able to "login" to the client for over 10 hours now, it just keeps saying "An unknown error occured when contacting the server.."
Note that I can login and browse the Curse site easily.. it's not slow, down, or anything, I just can't login to the damn client.
why does the client keep trying to install this curse database mining addon thing? I don't want to use it, I support Wowhead in that area and use the wowhead dataminer, I don't need another, nor want the curse one installed..
