Request for correct skinning of the new Ace2 Framesresized.

this is third request already, but either Jncl missed it or its not that easy to do.
i simply disabled skinning those frames till its fixed.

Chris2k, you'll find the mod makers here (taken as a whole. This is not true of them all) are on the rude side and always believe their efforts are thankless and that everyone can write LUA code. (As a long time developer I just sit back and smile. I've too many years experience with users to even begin to think that more than 7% are capable of grasping programming concepts, much less learning a language and applying it) They also don't realize that while someone may be more than capable of writing their own addons, they may not have the inclination to learn LUA, Ace 2 APIs, WoW APIs, etc. to do so. Some of us just want to game and are quite happy letting the digitheads who thrive on it code the addons for us.

As such, they are quick to put people off and jump to conclusions about a poster's true intent. A good example is in this thread is Moonwolf and Industrial who instantly assumed you were asking for someone to write ACE versions of the plugins you love and that you just don't get it. Others of us notice you were simply inquiring if ACE 2 versions or Ace 2 mods of similar functionality exist.

Don't take it to heart. These guys work their asses off to provide exceptional addons for everyone and the reality is that as a provider of something you hear far more about what isn't "right" than you hear the thanks and kudos of users. It does have the tendency to make one jaded. That's why software companies hire customer support people to deal with the public. Developers don't have the appropriate disposition. (This is why Linux and OSS have such a hard time getting a real foothold on the desktop market)

That being said, A big hearty THANK YOU to all of the Ace addon developers! Without you, my experience in WoW would suck and I'd be letting my monthly membership lapse again.

as a long time IT support professional, it warms my inside reading posts like this =)))

and yes, Ace 2 devs did a lot of very good work, thank you people for it.

Possibilites are endless - i can start using Miks Battle Text (instead of STC i am using for 1.5 years), make it report there and configure a frame especially for WitchHunt.

i respect the efforts devs put into their work. but a simple note from addon author about either he is going to implement a feature or not would be very apretiated - if its NO i can start searching a coder who will modify Ammo's version, or write something new (if Ammo minds being the only author of his addons)

i already had to move report window from middle of screen - now i sometimes miss the *name goes to stealth*, almost most important messege for me to catch up as a rogue.

again, a simple forum post can clear things out.

well i do realise itis probably really hard thing to code the requested features, but at least a minimal response from Ammo would warm ours, addon users, hearts.

    yeah that works, thank you
still i think its a good idea to keep things clear, seing some absolutly unnesissery files appear on svn makes me feel sad.

actually, they arent in the trunk at all - and you shouldnt see them since they are in my own branch - i was just following the name guidelines that are set up. I'll have to put them someplace obscure - like a subdirectory of another addon or something.

The files arent actually unnecessay to me i was modifying each of those addons to support ace2 better - and wanted to leave my work available to others.

    Anyhow, cheers

if you going to port it to ace 2 i sincerly asking for forgivness =)

    please continue!

any chance display fram will be resizable?
since in av, when you are in zerg, it became hyperspammed and i simply cant see things.
3-4 messeges displayed at a time whould be pretty enough for me.
