Okay, I may just be stupid and missing something, but I just decided to go with no externals and !StandAloneLibraries, so I reinstalled all of my AddOns and it seems none of my AddOn skins (or several of them) aren't loading. I put all of the skins in the Skinme folder and I have all of Skinner's necessary libraries, any thoughts on what could be causing this?

I have the CowTip skin in the SkinMe folder but when I log in I still get the error message saying the skin file isn't there.

If that floating text is accessible (and it may or may not be), then that is the scope of a different addon, not Aloft, sorry :)

Well, I'm pretty sure it's not, which I why I think manipulating the combat text to animate off of the nameplate would be a good way to fake it.

    I have a suggestion:

The floating combat text that can be enabled to pop up over units heads used to essentially be untouchable, but since you can access the API for nameplates, would it be possible to make Combat Text animate in a similar fashion? Maybe it would only be possible for the target and focus and maybe party/raid, but it'd be a cool effect. That way the damage text could be a little more customizable, similar to SCT.

I noticed ckknight posted on the CowTip thread saying Pitbull has an option to show auras in a tool tip on mouse-over. How do you set these up? I can't seem to find the option.

could an option to only show the tool tips with modifier keys held down be added? I figure when I personally look at a tool tip intentionally, I'm conscious enough of it that I would press a modifier in order to see it.

Thanks for adding the error display, this is what I get now with 1.9.3.365

I followed the steps to see if Winsock2 is corrupted, didn't see any evidence to suggest it is (assuming this error doesn't suggest it is)

I'm kind of helpless when it comes to this stuff =/, any help is appreciated

I don't know what all I can say about the latest versions not working that would help. All I can say is that 1.8.47 works and everything later doesn't (for me). I haven't done or changed anything. When I open the program it checks the version and then reads "Parsing 0 Entries In The Index File...Complete". I tried reloading the index, still not getting anything. I switched the mirror and reloaded the index, still nothing. I tried closing and reopening and doing everything previously mentioned, but still nothing. Everything seems completely normal, except that it keeps saying that its parsing 0 entries in the index. I can access http://files.wowace.com from my browser fine.

I don't know what else I can say; my tech smarts are pretty average (maybe even a little below average). All I know is that 1.8.47 works and 1.8.48 and later (I tried just about all of them) don't, and by my logic there must have been some sort of error between those versions.

Hmmm... just got 1.9.1 and it won't parse any entries either, I tried from both mirrors.

btw I tried the delete before installing option on 1.8.47 and it worked fine; I knew it worked because skinner didn't have any AddOn skins in the skinme folder.

I updated WowAceUpdater just now and when I opened it it didn't parse any entries. No AddOns show up, nothing. Anyone else getting this problem?

The Skin for Bagnon is a little bugged. It seems to wash out the colors of the item icons in the bag.

Here's Bagnon without skinner (left) and with skinner (right):

It looks especially bad towards the gradient height, but even the lower icons are slightly washed out by the skin.

There have been a lot of reports of decreased performance in the game as of the last patch. That may be the reason you're not seeing any increases in performance, or why you're having performance issues (if you are).
