I was using r99 earlier and my own res + bars seemed to be working okay, but I think I'm the only one in my 10-man who uses this sort of addon, so I don't tend to see collisions. (I'm not suggesting that's an issue, I'm just not able to comment on how that part's working.)
Great work on this btw.

Oct 6, 2009Posted in: Unit FramesQuote from D_TownOne thing that Pitbull4 is lacking (or I just don't know how to set it up) is a good "buff/debuff" system that can let the end user know important debuffs on other raid players.
It is possible to do this with the current aura system, although having the option to install a module to handle it, similar to how Grid users can choose between adding boss debuffs manually or installing GridStatusRaidDebuff to take care of it for them, would be a nice alternative.
For my own setup I chose to create a filter that adds a bright white highlight on the raid frame of the affected player. Whenever I encounter a new debuff I want to track, I just have to go into the aura editor and add its name to the whitelist.
To create a filter like the one I use, you'd go to Aura -> Aura filter editor -> Advanced, set it to Display when: Highlights and List type: Whitelist, and add some debuffs in the list. Then go to Layout Editor, select the frame(s) you want to use the filter on, and go to Aura -> Highlights to select the filter you just created and choose colour settings.
Jun 23, 2009Posted in: Unit FramesQuote from lellefot2Now I'm not sure if it's just me being silly and not able to find the proper setting but I have a problem, with the aggro indication. As a healer I wish to know when someone gets aggro. There is af course a very nice built in function for turning the healthbar red when this happens. It is great and I wish to use it. Now the problem is that I also use custom colors for my unit-frames. This completely negates the aggro indication. For some reason the custom color overwrites the aggro indication so the healthbar does not change color when someone has aggro. It only works if I don't use a custom color. Is there a way to make the aggro indication overwrite the custom color instead?
I'm not sure how to make the aggro color overwrite the custom color, but would changing the aggro indicator to highlight the border or background instead of the healthbar be any use to you? (The display option for this is in the layout settings under Other and then Aggro.)

[(IsMouseOver ? MP:Color("76B3EC") " | " MaxMP:Color("377BBC")) (~IsMouseOver ? (Name:ClassColor:Truncate(40) " " Level:DifficultyColor " " Race:HostileColor " " Class:ClassColor))]thanks in advance :)
Your post reminded me of something I wanted to do myself, so ... this seems to do the trick: :)
local TrName = Name(unit) local TrVal = 40 local cr,cg,cb = ClassColor(unit) local dr,dg,db = DifficultyColor(unit) local hr,hg,hb = HostileColor(unit) if strlen(Name(unit)) > TrVal then TrName = strsub(Name(unit),1,TrVal) .. "." end if IsMouseOver() then return "|cff76B3EC%s|r || |cff377BBC%s|r",Power(unit),MaxPower(unit) else return "|cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r |cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r |cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r |cff%02x%02x%02x%s|r",cr,cg,cb,TrName,dr,dg,db,Level(unit),hr,hg,hb,SmartRace(unit),cr,cg,cb,Class(unit) endThe variable TrVal controls the truncation lenth - I prefer using a variable as it's easier to update/change but you could change it to a hardcoded value if you prefer.
Sep 30, 2007I've seen the same thing on my paladin - sometimes Parrot just scrolls a message like "Pet 107 (Deep Wound)" and it's always a DoT effect of some kind, which leads me to think it's picking up damage done TO a nearby pet, not BY it. (If you hang around the battlemasters in Shattrath, sooner or later someone'll come back with a pet that's taking damage.)Posted in: General AddOns
I can see that this has been Jira'd though so I'm sure it'll be addressed soon.
Sep 24, 2007I love this type of addon. :)Posted in: General AddOns
Is there any chance it could track the number of times a hearthstone is used in combat, separately to general hearthstone use (which I realise is still to-do anyway)? I can't be the only one who'd be interested in knowing (and then lying about) the number of times my paladin has decided to make a "tactical retreat".
Sep 23, 2007I don't know why Phanx's code isn't working, but it looks somewhat different to the code I use (which I got from a suggestion in the original CowTip thread). I tried modifying that code and came up with:Posted in: Unit Frames
It *seems* to work when I test it, but let me know if there's any problem. :)

I can't seem to get the IsGreater tag to work either. I want my NumTargeting to only show if 2 or more people are targeting that person/npc, but I keep getting a "1" Unexpected param to "~IsLessEqual" error. I tried using IsGreaterEqual(2) and I got a similar error.
I had the same error. I made a temporary workaround by replacing "IsGreater(1)" with "~IsLess(2)".
Sep 14, 2007The reason I would like to see an Ace RP addon is not for the sake of having another Ace addon. It's because I feel there ARE new features that could be added.Posted in: Addon Ideas
The main thing, for me, would be a roleplaying addon with DogTag support, so that people using CowTip could add the relevant tags directly to their tooltip (or even Pitbull frames if they wanted). I have no idea how complicated that might be, though, so if that wouldn't be possible, even one that played nicer with tooltip addons like CowTip and TinyTip would be a bonus. (If you don't understand what I mean here, it's that RP addons tend to conflict with tooltip addons, since most try to rebuild the tooltip to add RP information. However, although most offer some kind of basic formatting options, none of them offer as extensive a range of features as a fully-fledged tooltip addon does because they aren't primarily intended to be tooltip addons.) The latter wouldn't have to be Ace, but the former probably would.
Linnari: Have you tried enabling FlagRSP2's extra tooltip? That's the only way I could get it to work alongside CowTip -- and it was the only one of the three mentioned above that would even remotely do so.
