Aug 28, 2007Not been through all the pages, but wondering why sometimes (quite often) bars don't disappear on death of my target, it's only been that way with mobs which is understandable, but my durations kinda get spammy after a while unless I clear them off manually :/Posted in: General AddOns
Aug 28, 2007Hmm, was wondering if there was a line of code to edit/add to make the cooldowns show on friendly targets also. Just a personal preference really, or maybe add it as an option ;o I've not looked through all the pages, sorry about that if it's been covered already.Posted in: General AddOns

I noted an issue yesterday that's bugging me. I am a hunter and I'm using Violation for a month and loving it. But yesterday, a guy from my party was using Damagemeters, and I noticed something. Our data was very inaccurate. I was the top damage done according to Violation, with a great distance from the second place. But according to Damagemeters, I was the third! Damagemeters was not broadcasting according to the sync report. I installed the addon that expands the combat quest log radius to 250 yards too.
So, the question is very simple: how much can I trust both addons? Which one seems to be more accurate? I really like Violation and want to use it for ever, but one thing that's important is accuracy, right?
Any explanation of why both addons were reporting so different results?
Combat log range. Any damage meter can only report what it sees. Some authors made a workaround by adding syncing, which is good, but not really necessary. It's easy to extend the combat log range to 250 yards so you see every thing that happens. Also, Violation doesn't sync with DamageMeters/SW_Stats, Violation "watches" those two addons.
Aug 26, 2007I found the one addon which was causing this lockup issue for 'me'. It was called "User Keybindings" (qUserKey is folder name), which lets you bind items/macros to keys through a GUI, the GUI probably scanned inventory everytime something changed.Posted in: General AddOns

Actually, it looks like regular old PitBull borders colored black. You can do that in the Global Settings menu.
And what you mean by "old PitBull borders"?
It's an American saying - regular old borders = the normal, unmodified, default ones
Then how do you "grow" th size of borders? I can't seem to do it :/ it's just tiny at the moment

Looks like an eepanel frame with low alpha black background and a black tooltip border.
Can eepanels hide when a certain frame is visible? Or even change opacity when a unit is out of range.. or even integrate with pitbull ;o I dunno if it's possible, but at this time I don't think it's eepanels.
