I've always had search issues where the last item in a list would show nothing on the right pane...so if I do a precise search for one item, I can select it, and make it, but not see any details on the right.
It's always been very odd. If I search for "Scarlet Ruby" for instance, the last one will not show anything but the others will. SOMETIMES I can go back and forth between the last one and others and finally get it to show, but that's uncommon.
Might be related to the other search issues being described here.

May 22, 2009Posted in: Raid AddOnsQuote from froopFrom what I gather oRA3 no longer sets MTs. This is done by the Blizzard interface. It will however sort the MTs for whatever addon you use to display MT frames. oRA3 no longer has MT frames.
As for player targets you can set these within oRA3 and they'll be added and sorted with the MTs from Blizzards interface in whatever MT frame addon you are using if it supports oRA3.
Well that's means ora3 won't be used by my guild I guess. The ability to enter MTs and sort them is pretty much a feature we could not get by without. The frame part itself being an optional addon I could see...the assignment and broadcast piece belongs in the raid assist addon IMHO. Throwing it into a secondary addon probably will not get people to migrate over for us...its hard enough to get them install ONE addon, making them do a 2nd will probably never float, and unless it has the version control reporting to ensure they do have it installed, we'd be back in MC with people hitting the wrong stuff.
The blizzard MT setup is the typical half-baked blizzard implementation of good addons (ie Equipment Mgr, SCT, etc)
May 21, 2009I'm sad to say both the default Skillet on Curse and your branch throw so many errors since 3.1 I've had to go back to the default craft interface, which is terrible.Posted in: General AddOns
I've seen errors from LibPeriodic, Altaholic, Skillet itself in several variants when trying to simply open the tradeskill window. Obviously the altaholic ones I can get rid of by turning that off, but the others are show stoppers. Is anybody actually getting any version of skillet to function?
May 21, 2009ok I'm confused, and admit I have not tried the addon yet.Posted in: Raid AddOns
Are you saying ora3 does not provide the frames AND the ability to set the MTs or are you saying it still has the ability to set MTs and broadcast that info to other addons, but it simply does not have the DISPLAY frame part of the MT info?
May 4, 2009Posted in: Raid AddOnsQuote from XinhuanAren't all trash in Ulduar on 2 hour respawns? There are timers to tweak?
I have yet to have Incubator show them.
I don't care if they are all 2 hours...I want to know at any random moment how long it has been since any specific trash pull was made to determine if a wipe recovery process is worth it or not.
I don't really want to track the kill times of each trash pull...Incubator did a good job of that everywhere else....it just doesn't in Ulduar
May 4, 2009can PB4 consolidate buffs/debuffs by class (say all priest ones in this bucket, all paladin ones in this bucket), show those buckets as an Icon, and expand the bucket to show what is in it when I mouseover/select it?Posted in: Unit Frames
If not, does anybody know any addon that can accomplish this?
Apr 25, 2009Posted in: Grid & Grid2Quote from Phanx
On my resto shaman main, I have the low mana threshold set to 35%. Maybe my guild does it differently than yours, but we expect our raiders to be able to manage their own mana, just as we expect them to move out of void zones, attack the right target, keep the zombies away from Gluth, heal the tank, and not pull aggro.
If I know a fight will last long enough for a second Mana Tide, I'll drop it early when I'm around 75% mana myself, regardless of how much mana anyone else has. If the fight isn't that long, then I just wait until I see blue borders on everyone in the party. If PriestX is running OOM and needs the Mana Tide early, well, he's a big boy and he can communicate. If he's consistently running OOM before anyone else, it's probably time to sit down with him and figure out why he's having such a problem managing his mana.
Also, if I really have some burning need to know the exact amount of mana someone has, I have tons of time while the lasers are charging to just target them. :p
We expect the restos to be aware of their group and use it as soon as everyone is below 75% with the assumption a 2nd Tide will become available as they are the only ones in control of said Mana Tide.
Using it yourself at 75% when everybody else is at 90% would get you sat and a good talking to form my GL probably...they are fairly big on raid/party buffs being used properly (ie maximizing their results).
Grid mana bars pretty much are required for this then, or I have to have Pitbull group frames up (which I do not care to fill the screen up with in a 25)
I suspect you will find a larger group of people using Grid Mana bars than the few who write on this forum as the comparison to grid vs gridmanabars downloads on Curse is 30k vs 100k...30% of us. Once/if Grid2 takes over for Grid they will be just like the Auctioneer folks were when they scrapped big pieces of their app...coming out of the woodwork
Apr 24, 2009Mana bars give:Posted in: Grid & Grid2
1 - druids vision to who needs an innervate and a way to compare them (an indicator only tells them "these two people are low" not "this person is 15% this person is 0%")
2 - the ability for raid leaders to watch mana consumption across the raid. This is done by many guilds (mine included).
3 - the ability for a resto shaman to determine when to do mana tide. I do *not* want an indicator at 75%, which is about when I drop my first tide. I want to see everybody in my group and know if they are all below 75% or not. I want a low mana indicator for people at 5% or less....these two things server two distinct purposes for restos
All three of these are significant reasons for mana bars. I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking of right now.
