I'm working on a branch of cyCircled at the moment where I have "Button Packs" modulated as to give a sort of logic to the skins and to allow authors to create their own, separate skin packs that are can be updated on the SVN without affecting the original mod. I also need some name suggestions for it. So far, I'm toying with "BarSkins" and "SkinFX". Suggestions are welcome. :)

    How about "cySkins"?

    2) I think there's a keybinding in the Blizzard keybinding menu. If not, I can add one.

I'm still using version r26541 of Sanity2, and there is no keybinding shown there for the Compress feature. I'm not updating any Ace mods until after patch 2.1, the current Ace libs seem to be breaking other mods, however I don't believe there is a keybinding for Compress in the latest version either.

    Thanks for your reply. :)

Any chance some of these requested features could be added to Sanity2?

    1) Can the column widths be remember from session to session? Many of the item names are lengthy, and don't fit well unless the Name column is widened. I have to do that every time I log in. (from Farook and others)

    2) Can there be a keybinding for the Compress feature, or perhaps a click command added to the minimap/minibag buttons for Compress? It would be much nicer to be able to use that great feature without having to open the Sanity2 window first.

    3) Allow chat linking of items from Sanity2, using the Blizzard shift key default.

    Thanks!

You must have some conflict with another addon, SpamSentry is working fine for me, even though I'm using about 50+ addons. Ever since the #255 character padding trick was fixed in one of the latest releases, no spam gets through. (Also Prat compatibility was added, so finally I can use both SpamSentry and Prat).

As to making the [NO REPLY NEEDED] text default, you can edit the boilerplate bot report text as you will, so it's really pointless asking the author to include it.

Also, the GM's claim about banning SpamSentry is ridiculous. SpamSenty does not send automatic GM reports, you still need to click in the menu or on the FuBar icon to send it, and the add-on even reminds you to double check characters that are about to be reported.

Yes, and I should have mentioned that. I use many addons, and didn't feel like going through the troubleshooting process to determine which one it was. The problem started after installing Cartographer, but even removing it did not fix the issue, and I tried all the normal methods for fixing SpamSentry itself.

I think SpamSentry is a wonderful mod and has probably gotten Blizzard's attention to the gold seller issue with the number of reports it generates. I have no doubt the sheer volume of them has gotten Blizzard to start thinking about ways to fix the gold seller spam issue once and for all.

would be nice if the auto generated ticket stated that no reply from a GM is needed.

I added a message to that effect into the report text... twice, once at the top, and once at the bottom, and most of the time the GM doesn't read it and wants to chat with me anyway.

GMs are trained not to bother you if you tell them you don't want to talk in game. Just tell them you don't need any further help and they'll leave you alone.

i got a whisper from a GM today, i replied that i was only reporting them and did not need to discuss the issuse any farther. the gm asked me to please put that info in my tickets from now on. i have to agree with some of the above posters, would be nice if the auto generated ticket stated that no reply from a GM is needed. maybe make it a toggable option, if thats doable?

I simply added [NO REPLY NEEDED] to the top and bottom of the message, GMs didn't bother me with a personal responses any longer. Sometimes they would send an in-game whisper automated response thanking me, most of the time I just got the WoW mail from them.

I hear rumors Blizzard is considering making it so trial accounts, which all spammers use, cannot use whispers. I acutally had to quit using SpamSentry because it stopped working for me. It was not blocking messages properly and though most of the time it would catch them, I still saw the message. I started using the STFU mod, it simply blocks all whispers from level 1 characters. All spammers are level 1 toons, and I haven't gotten a single gold seller whisper since I started using it. It's configurable as well.

I think something might be messed up with the latest Ace libs. People are reporting Auctioneer won't load all all with the latest FuBar pulled from here. CyCircled's latest version won't load for me at all, and others are having trouble with Bartender3 and Auctioneer.

Have you guys tried some basic troubleshooting stuff, like enabling only CyCircled and your action bar mod? Or trying that while using and earlier SVN or the release version of CyCircled, not the latest beta?

nop, i mean exactly this thing. Dont know what addon you are using but in newset version (i update daily) of cyCircled there is NO "profiles" in menu available

You might try going back to the release version then at WoWInterface.com. I'm using version r31968 and use profiles just fine, since none of the changes since then affect me.

Orange, you can edit the spam report template to say whatever you want. I edited mine to say at the top "Please NO NOT contact me regarding this ticket" and it does work. It bugged me that they would whisper me about my spam reports too.

As I read from a blue post in the European WoW forums (sorry, I'm not going to dig it up), all you have to put in your custom message is [NO REPLY NEEDED] at the top of the message. I put that in at the top and bottom of mine and they now leave me alone. The blue who posted also said GMs are trained not to bother you if you say you don't wish to talk, so in case they do ask to speak with you, just say you don't need to or can't at the moment. You won't hear from them again regarding that ticket.

I may change mine to read [Please send ONLY WoW e-mail regarding this ticket] or something, so I don't get any in-game whispers from them.

I've asked several times, and GMs say they do appreciate being notified about gold spammers. Thankfully I believe Blizzard is finally taking steps to limit gold spam, like banning whispers and most chat for trial accounts, or throttling it in such a way as to make that method not worthwhile.

im using bongos. And why i should use OTHER addon when i need profiles in cyCircled. Imo it became "a good manner" to implement profiling system in every addon

I'm sorry, can you help me understand? CyCircled does have profiles, the standard kind built into most Ace mods. My different toons have different skins on their icons (I use Bongos too), that was set up with CyCircled's profiles. Bring up CyCircle's menu and profiles is one of the options there. Do you mean something different?

posted a message on SpamSentry - Ace2 release
I'm still having trouble with SpamSentry not catching any spam, not allowing me to right click on a name to add them to a list, etc. So, I'm using the last release version from WoWInterface.com, I've deleted the SpamSentry Saved Variables files, the WoW Cache folder, and set IgnoreMore and Cartographer not to load. So I have the same mod setup that once worked with SpamSentry, but still no joy. I even disabled WIM thinking that might be it. I'm still getting the "No messages from <player name> in cache." message when trying to add a spammer from the Guild Recruitment channel, though it works OK when it's a whisper (though still not caught).

Any other suggestions for troubleshooting this, like other files to delete for corruption? As a last resort I'll disable everything but SpamSentry and see what happens. I hate to do that because some mods need to be setup again from scratch if they've been disabled. Thanks for your help.

    Hey Tdurden,

Actually I am running both Cartographer and SpamSentry. Just to make sure, I just updated to the latest version from the SVN. I'm still not encountering any issues...

If you (temporarily) remove all your addons and try a vanilla install of both SpamSentry and Cartographer I think you will see it works fine. I think another addon (most likely something chat-related) is messing things up for you.

    Anea

Yep, thought it must be another mod since no one else had reported it. I'll do a little testing and let you know what I find. My suspicion is that IgnoreMore is having issues with it.

Anyone else having trouble using SpamSentry with Cartographer installed? Anytime I try to report spam, SpamSentry says "No messages from <player name> in cache." It is also not catching any spam either, so I see it all in the chat channels.

This occurs with both the release and current SVN versions of Cartographer. I've tried it with both the current and previous versions of SpamSentry as well.

Edit: Yep, now getting the following error in SpamSentry whenever a message comes up that should be caught as spam:
