posted a message on Spam Sentry or SpamMeNot
Anyone still using SpamMeNot and have the level block feature quit working recently? Since 2.2.3 patch I'm getting party invites from level 1 spammers even though I have my level block set to 3. No update since mid August on this mod, has Octane quit working on it? Might be time to try SpamSentry.

Edit: Corrected to indicate that I am getting unwanted party invites from level 1 spammers.

Is BagFu supposed to open bank bags as well while at the bank? I can't seem to get it to and I don't see an option specifically for it. I have the option for Open Bags at Bank checked, but it only opens my inventory set of bags.

In any case, this would be a great feature to add unless mine just isn't working as intended.

Thank you Seerah, I didn't see FuTextures in the file section due to it not having the normal FuBar_ prefix on it. But indeed, there it is listed at the end of the letter F section.

I just recently switched from Titan to FuBar, I'm wondering how to put different skins/textures on the bar and where I might find some. I liked Titan's skin but I've been unabled to find any instructions or FuBar plugins for skinning it. Any help is appreciated. :)

Could you explain this further? It sounds to me like you are asking for an option for a border around the minion, and that option is already in the menu. Check out the pics in the nQuestLog wiki to see what I mean. I need further clarification if this isn't what you're talking about. Thanks.

A border would be outstanding, I just can't see how to enable it. I see where I can set it's color, but it won't let me put a checkmark by that menu item, and I can't find it anwhere else. What is the path to enable borders?

I also like the font outline, looks nice.

    To respond to TDurden,

Some of the readers here, just want to optimize their current addons, no matter which one it is or on which character. Or what about those with low-end systems, who can not spare the memory, I know with 1GB I can, but I don't need to be running firefox with some tabs and scanning the AH because then my HDD goes into Swap file mode ;)

    ...and on.

I understand your goal. The newest version of Auctioneer, AuctioneerAdvanced has been rewritten and memory optimized from the ground up, so for anyone else wondering about it, just go to http://www.auctioneeraddon.com/ and read about it in the news. Here are some excerpts from it:

"AuctioneerAdvanced is the next evolution in Auction statistics software, rewritten from the ground up to be more memory friendly, more featureful and more accurate from the get-go - AuctioneerAdvanced also posesses a new attitude and outlook on the entire auctioning process." and "Very small memory footprint. Efficiency is the name of the game here, AuctioneerAdvanced is no longer a monolithic memory hog, and if memory is tight, you can even turn off modules that you don't need to reduce memory consumption even more."

It is still a work in progress and there are a few bugs to iron out yet, but the interface and memory usage issues have greatly improved. Hope this helps!

Moonwitch, you can delete Informant and use Mendeleev instead. It give you more control over what you see in your tooltips.

Yeah, that's what I am testing atm, see if I can change some things like that around, since informant still is NOT mem optimized, while Auctioneer Adv is. And while BottomScanner did in the past land me some sweet money making deals, it's not worth running it on your main (I did end up making a bank/AH character where those mods are enabled)

For all the complaining about Auctioneer and its memory use, if you read the beginner tutorials at the wiki on their site, you'll see that creating an AH/banker toon is one of the basic recommendations, thus solving much of the problem. Even if I keep it loaded on all my characters, I've made upwards of 2k gold per week using Auctioneer. Of those who will say, some have made as much as 5k gold per week with it. With those kinds of returns, I'll put up with some extra memory use.

Just a quick question about this addon...does it track all-time win/loss records for the BGs? If not, is there a FuBar or other mod that does? I'm currently using Titan and would like to switch to FuBar, and Titan BattleTracker (http://wowui.incgamers.com/?p=mod&m=3695)is one of the few I had not found a FuBar replacement for yet. Thanks in advance.

Wow, thanks so much! I'd still love a keybind for compress so I can hide the plugin, but this is great for now. :)

Since the WoW patch today, items pulled from mail are auto-stacking, and hopefully it works with all items taken into inventory so the compress feature isn't as critical.

Does this mod hook into Wowhead comments in some way? I remember some quest mod doing that, but wasn't in the market for a quest log at that point.

That's what some of the comments above are referring to. LightHeaded is what you want, it's a separate addon from nQuestLog:

    http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7017-LightHeaded.html

Thought apparently the latest version of it does not work with nQuestLog yet. I'm using LightHeaded r25 and the version of nQuestLog hosted here with no problems myself.

Better written, more plugins, most ace mods will plug in to it, more customizable, ......

In addition to that, addons can be dragged and moved within FuBar - one thing I was missing fataly in Titan (it might be implemented these days since I haven't been using Titan for more than half a year now).

You can move Titan plugins in a limited way, if you hold down the shift key you can drag the icon, but it only seems to work moving them to the left.

FuBar is also far better supported than Titan. Titan is only updated if something breaks after a patch, and generally new features are only added at that time. There were a couple of updates when the BC was released, but nothing since despite pages of requests and/or problems individuals have with it that go unanswered. I would be using FuBar myself but I have a few plugins that have no FuBar equivalent yet, so I'm sticking with Titan for now, warts and all.

Hmm...I thought this thread was about nQuestLog.... :)

There is a few eye candy bug, when bags are full :)

That bug has existed for some time with the bank bag totals, long before WoW patch 2.1. It's been there for me since I started using Sanity2 back in January or so.

Checked through the Trac and didn't see this so I'd like to request it:

Add a keybind option for Compress. I'd love to just press a key to stack stuff in my packs after going to the mailbox.

I've requested that one too, Antiarc said he would add it.

Hehe, no more tickets... well I guess at least we got Blizzard attention to the goldselling problem. I am pretty curious as to how Blizzard's improved system is going to look like. I did some testing on PTR the other day, but it still was the same dusty old ticketing thing. No new fancy options yet.

Given the way Blizzard completely hosed up the LFG system, I hope you're considering modifying SpamSentry to do something like Phanx suggests. Yes it's a bit more work to submit a ticket that way, but somehow I don't think Blizzard's new spam killing methods are going to stop it. Blizzard needs to get the idea that they need to take better steps to stop gold spammers, and a continued flood of tickets is the only thing that will get them do to so.

The one addition I would find extremely usefull is someway to make reporting general/guildrecruitement/trade channel gold spammers.

When I right-click the name of the spammer in the chat-window I can select "Report Spam" from the context menu but I'm usually greeted by a message stating "there are no cached messages for xxx" (or similar).

As the situation with gold-selling ads gets worse and worse, the "blocking" part of whispered ads gets more important than the "reporting" part (reports tend to queue up alot, and those chars are getting deleted fast by their creators anyway, not much point reporting)

I had the same problem with gold spam in guild recruitment and trade not getting blocked and the same "no cached messages" error. I chalked it up to a mod conflict I haven't taken the time to troubleshoot (after trying the usual SavedVariables remedies), so I had to quit using SpamSentry altogether. I now use the new SpamMeNot mod which simply blocks all whispers from level 1 players (or whatever level you set), which all gold spammers are. It also blocks the chat channels effectively, so I never see it.

As for waiting to report gold spammers until you have a few, Blizzard has requested they be reported ASAP after you get them, so they may be taken care of promptly. The jury is still out as to what "prompt" means for them, some reported spammers have gone on for hours with the same character.

Thankfully, Anea's mod has done such a great job in drawing attention to the gold spammer problem, Blizzard has finally woken up and is taking steps to curb their actions once and for all. Patch 2.1 will help some with that too.
