Dec 19, 2008This bad boy is finally ready for prime time and has been bumped up to a release version. Future enhancements on the to do list are some additional niceties to the display so that you don't have to mouse-over the indicator when something is missing to see what it is, and the ability to define custom debuffs to watch. Please give it a try and give me your feedback. Thanks!Posted in: General AddOns
Dec 18, 2008There's a handful of Battle Elixirs (mostly new WotLK ones) that don't show 'Battle Elixir' in their tooltip. I recently went through the entire catalog of Battle Elixirs to compile a list for BuffEnough. Here they are:Posted in: Raid AddOns
Dec 12, 2008Posted in: Raid AddOnsQuote from nomad_wandererIs this sort of tabular output in chat possible?
I don't think that's possible (if there's some magic sauce I don't know about, hopefully the gurus will jump in and correct me). If you're using a fixed-width font in your chat frame, then the output should actually be evenly spaced and fairly tabular (minus the column headers, of course). But there's no way to guarantee that whoever is viewing the outputted report is using a fixed-width font, and therefore everyone will probably see a slightly crooked display.

Yeah, doing something a little more intuitive with the display is on my list of items to do. Possibly doing something like hanging a list of missing slots off of the red box was on my mind. Implementation is simple, but the design is complicated; one of the nice aspects of DebuffEnough (imo) is the compact, simple indicator. Trying to preserve that while putting more information into the display is tricky. Definitely open to suggestions from anyone that's trying it out.
Dec 12, 2008Sorry for the slow feature request implementations. All of my addons are receiving similar treatment as I suckle at the WotLK teet. On the other hand, I have a brand new red proto-drake tonight so I'm not that sorry.Posted in: Raid AddOns
Latest patch notes:
- Changed the way record keeping for reports is managed. Previously, when a player left your party/raid, their reports were deleted. Now, all death reports are kept. From the main UI, you have the option to clear an individual player's reports, or clear all reports (with configuration to show a confirmation dialog). Additionally, a configuration option has been added to prompt deleting all reports when joining a new party/raid.
- DK "Shadow of Death" (turning into a ghoul upon death) should now show up as a death event.
I'll leave it as beta for a little while until I can get some feedback on the change. Let me know if there are any issues.

Hrm, that's strange. Can you explain further about "goes blank"? If you want to put comments on the project page (or file a ticket) so as not to take this thread off topic, that would be great.
It does. This is primarily to know which debuff is the best for a slot when there's more than one option and a talent may push one up better than the others (demo shout vs demo roar vs curse of weakness, etc). If someone is using a sub-optimal debuff for a debuff slot, DebuffEnough will warn (with a yellow square) that the debuff slot is up, but it's not the best one that could be used.
Thanks for checking it out!
Dec 5, 2008There is actually a note in the tooltip about reporting when you mouseover the log entries (although I guess maybe some people don't mouse over them?). There might be a clearer way to do that. If the issue is accidental reporting, I can always change it to be a ctrl-click or something like that.Posted in: Raid AddOns
Nov 13, 2008Posted in: Raid AddOnsQuote from Phanx1. After a wipe, only 13 of 25 raid members were listed in Acheron. He hadn't released, so all of their deaths should have shown up in his combat log. I know there were some issues with this a while back, but since I haven't been raiding at all, I don't know if they were ever resolved, or if there's any kind of workaround.
Dang, I thought I had fixed that one. I'll put it back on the todo list.
Quote from Phanx2. After the raid, he wanted to go back and review deaths, but people who'd left the raid group were no longer listed in Acheron. (He was still in the raid group.) I think this is probably intentional, but would it be possible to not immediately purge people who leave the raid group?
Yep, this will be on my todo list as well. You're right, it's intentional, but probably a better option is to provide more manual clearing options instead.
Nov 12, 2008It's not in yet, but that's still definitely on my to do list. Most of my attention has been on DebuffEnough lately, so I haven't had time to add new features to Acheron. And I can't honestly say I'll have any time or inclination to do addon development for the next couple of weeks. ;) But once the initial xpac excitement is over, this is something I plan to put in.Posted in: Raid AddOns
Nov 10, 2008In places where you're referencing the name of a spell, such as:Posted in: Lua Code Discussion
if UnitAura("player", "Seal of Righteousness") then return 1 end
you should instead use GetSpellInfo(spellId), which returns the localized name of the spell. That way, your addon can remain localized without any additional work on your part. So the above code would instead be:
if UnitAura("player", GetSpellInfo(21084)) then return 1 end
