I'd make an addon that didn't make me have to write my addons in C++...

Makes sense, and I'm certainly willing to look at ButtonFacade support, although I don't know anything about how it integrates with other addons. I'll put it on the to do list.

Thanks, glad you're enjoying it! A "black list" for debuffs is definitely on the to do list. Along those lines, there's already a feature to only show debuffs that your class can do, but I was thinking of adding the ability to filter the debuff slots by 'role' as well. So a mage may care about spell damage, spell hit, spell crit debuffs, whereas a tank may care about AP and melee hit chance reduction debuffs.

Okay, fixed the strata issue with the popup confirmation (actually a strata issue with the main UI frame itself and what AceGUI creates it at).

I think I fixed the popup spam issue. I really don't understand what was causing it, but the code to decide when to popup was more complex than it needed to be so I simplified it. Let me know if it's still occurring.

I've put in a couple of tickets for myself to track the issues. Now that I'm done with the major revisions for DebuffEnough, I'll turn my attention to seeing if I can't figure out what's going on here.

Because the paladin blessing situation is always complex, the best that BuffEnough can do is take its best guess about what blessings it thinks you should have based on your spec and the raid makeup. It's never going to prefer Battle Shout simply as it's such a short duration buff. However, for your situation, what you can do is set up a blessing preference override via the config, and simply put Kings as your first blessing preference.

is it possible to incorporate the green/red sqaure into the existing stat block for debuff enough? possibly making the tool tip a drop down of that block?

Unfortunately not. StatBlocks is the LDB display that takes the data feed from DebuffEnough. All that DE can do is provide the data; StatBlocks (and other LDB displays) choose how to display it. That's why I have both the LDB and custom display options.

is it possible to make a less verbose version of the tool tip that pops up?

Certainly possible. There are already a couple of ways to make things less verbose, depending on what data you want. In the config, you can choose to only show the best option for each debuff slot. You can also choose to only show the debuffs from your class. But I'm definitely open to suggestions on other display configurations that will make things more useful.

you considered including a total debuffs counter, similar to what demon used to include and maybe including that at the bottom of the tool tip window, or in the existing stat block? i find this an easy and quick way to ascertain if my raid is paying attention.

You mean the total number of debuffs that DE monitors, or just the total number of debuffs of any kind on the target? The latter is sort of outside the charter of DE's purpose, and the former could be done but I'm not sure how useful that datapoint is in comparison to all of the other data DE provides towards its specific purpose.

What I AM thinking of doing, however, is to add an option to only display the verbose mode after x percentage of the debuff slots have been satisfied. That is, it's not necessarily always useful to show the whole debuff readout right when combat starts and no one has done anything yet, but after most (x%) of the debuffs are up, it may then be useful to see who the stragglers/slackers are. This may also come in a time option (show after x seconds of combat).

As I said, DebuffEnough had all the functionality, but a useless UI. Having to mouse over a colored box to cause another window to display with actual information, in the middle of a boss fight, is silly. If the "info" window just stayed up all the time and could be dragged or resized, it would be fine.

Not to derail someone else's addon thread, but DebuffEnough does this now. :)

Can you be more specific about your problem? Can you select a channel to report to from the dropdown? Can you ctrl-left-click on the combat log entry?

In an effort to make the UI for DebuffEnough more useful, I've added a new 'Verbose' option to the display. This creates another frame next to the red/green indicator which displays the same detailed debuff info that the tooltip normally displays, allowing someone to see at a glance what debuffs are missing without having to mouseover the indicator. The frame is of course totally customizable in terms of appearance for the aesthetically minded. This new feature is available in the latest beta version.

Definitely interested in getting any feedback on people on how this works, and if there are any suggestions for ways to make the whole addon better. Thanks!

Took me a couple of weeks to come around to it, but the latest release version should now find you with all the usual border and bg tweak options. :)

I think you're refering to Lua (the language that WoW uses for addons), not Ruby. In which case, one place you can start is WoWWiki:

That's the same conclusion that I, and I suspect anyone who has gone down this road, has come to. There's a lot of valuable data to be captured in the snapshot of a given moment.
