Specifically, what I'd like to do is put something like "(my_main's_name)" at the beginning of chat messages, ideally in specific channels (e.g., Guild, Raid, Party) Sort of a reverse AltNames maybe.

By the way, there's a mod called "Identity" (which used to be "Incognito") that does basically what I'm looking for. Would just like to keep it all in the Prat family if possible. :)

I was wondering if there's any way to use Prat to place a piece of text at the beginning of chat messages sent to at least certain channels.

    Getting this error:

    [2008/03/27 18:58:47-2952-x1]: Prescription\Prescription.lua:1: unexpected symbol near '0'

It's when my UI first loads, and I haven't had a chance to test it in raids yet.

Looks like the error's fatal. Rx doesn't work at all for me.

posted a message on Bartender3 - Action Bar AddOn for WoW 2.0
I seem to have an issue with my Pet Bar buttons not being locked, which lets me accidentally drag them off the bar in combat. Anyone else having this issue, and/or something I might be doing wrong? I'm using 3.1.2 r63833 at the moment.

Seems to be working pretty well for me... Only issue I'm having (and I haven't ready all the recent posts to see if it's been mentioned) is that I need to reload my UI to get pretty much any change to take effect.

Commited, I don't run XLoot, I'm also not patched, so I hope this fixes the problem as I cannot test it.

Fixed it for me, thanks. :)

    Quote from Pasus Nauran »

This was implemented in one of the recent builds, as I noticed such functionality when re-arranging my bars yesterday using r49308. However, I think that is part of the issue causing addons not to save their positions on reload.

Ah, cool. I thought there was a slight change in behavior (apart from the bug) when I was putting things back in place, but wasn't sure if there was anything intentionally changed... so that makes sense.

    Thanks!

As I reset the position of my various FuBar plugins on the bars this morning, I got to thinking that it'd be REALLY nice if FuBar could support left / center / right drag-n-drop placement of the plugin icons on the bar, just like you can drag-n-drop from one bar to another.

Not sure if this is the right place to drop suggestions, so let me know if I should put it somewhere else, if I'm suggesting the impossible, or if this is old hat. :)

posted a message on Rock Configurator wuut?
    Quote from Nickenyfiken »

Yeah well end users should never have to worry about that at all. But addons from this site should always be considered beta so stuff like this will happen sometimes. Not to sound mean but... you should not use addons from this site if you don't know how to fix problems like this.

If you're replying to me, don't worry about it. I'm perfectly capable of dealing with errors and know perfectly well that the WAU tool pulls what's considered to be beta code. Just pointing out that "don't worry about what's inside" isn't always a viable option, that installing the libraries independently resolved the errors for me, and that doing the same might work for others as well.

Y'all spend a lot of time telling folks they shouldn't be using your code, and make a lot of assumptions in doing so. I realize it's frustrating when people complain about errors in beta code, but seriously ... folks need to relax around here.

Nice response... Folks should take note. Over the past few days especially I've seen a lot of flaming, complaining, and criticism. When someone brings some legitimate suggestions to the table, y'all might try being appreciative instead of dismissive.
