Apologies if this has been asked before, but how can I get Aloft to display what my party members are targeting.

Go to one of the text tags advanced options, and use the tag [TargetName]

    eg:

    [Name][TargetName:Prefix(":")]

I just installed this and played with it for a few minutes but it doesn't seem to do what I was hoping. What I was hoping for was a way to make the current name plates like half the width in size. When I have multiple enemies close by they all overlap so it'd be nice to have name plates about 1/4-1/2 in width and maybe a little bit added to the height.

    Change the health bar width/height.

Note that Aloft can't change their values during combat, but once they're shown once and you leave combat, they'll work thereafter.

what tag is being added to text1 of death log health change to get the name of the damage dealer/healer? You can see it in the screenshot at the bottom of the first post.

Go to the Death Recent Event Log -> Text -> Text2 -> Tag

And remove the bit that says ":HideIf(~IsReport)"

Thanks for the answer anyway (and sorry for my late reply), seems a bit complicated and I was basically just exploring the options of what I could and couldn't do. :)

Yep I know I was/am using Omen, I just liked the look of Assessment and of course was preferring to use one addon instead of two. I know I could use Omen, set it to show like 3 bars and check "always see self" (I haven't tried that so that's only what I suspect it'd do) and then even create some eePanels - but I'm lazy so right now I'm just using Assessment without the feature. :)

And I have to remind you again that it really was just a question if it was possible, just something to play around with in the future, if I'd feel like it, but I'm quite happy with my current layout anyway so it wasn't really a feature request either.

I'd actually like to point out Assessment's FuBar text options - I use it set to "Threat gain before aggro gain on target", which tells you exactly how much more threat you can generate before you pull aggro. For Fights where passing MT threat is critical (eg. prince), use Threat deficit instead.

Nice Addon...! My SWStat goes trash !

Somes suggestion to speedup just a little. You can use the Event Register tips : http://www.wowace.com/wiki/Coding_Tips#Registering_events_with_AceEvent-2.0_sanely

    For example,
    in Threath.lua (360)
    self:RegisterEvent("Threat_ThreatUpdated", "OnThreatUpdated")
    change to
    self:RegisterEvent("Threat_ThreatUpdated")

    and
    in Threath.lua (399)
    function AssessmentThreat:OnThreatUpdated(playerName, playerUnit, targetName)
    change to
    function AssessmentThreat:Threat_ThreatUpdated(playerName, playerUnit, targetName)

It's a little optimization, but, with many events, we can have a global speedup, with a one less lookup by event (search OnThreatUpdated for the event Threat_ThreatUpdated)

You're sort of correct, but not for the right reasons :) There's no difference in CPU performance between what I have and what you suggested. There is a tiny memory difference, due to lua's approach of pooling strings, but I prefer the naming consistency between all of the modules to the few bytes it saves.

The registering events with aceevent 2 sanely is only talking about dispatch. The dispatch in Assessment is fine.

I'm getting 'Tag Error' when zooming into deaths

What error shows up in ChatFrame1? Did you update TagCompiler-1.0 also?

How i can substract the damage dealt to raid members? (i.e. Fatal Attraction)

The standard dps and (fight) damage dealt displays only show damage done to enemies. It won't show shatter, fatal attraction, static charge, etc.

The damage dealt details will still show damage dealt to raid members when you click into it.. you can remove it by changing the BarValue tag from "Amount" to "Amount - FriendlyAmount"

Just wanted to report what I suppose is a bug.
When you use the shift-click on a bar, the rank isn't always accurate.
    It can look like:
    1. Fireball
    2. Fire Blast
Shift click fireball bar I get 1. Fireball, but when I shift click fire blast I get 5. Fire Blast.

This bit is fixed in r49070. The rest of it I still need to ponder how I want to approach best.

Healing/Overhealing display set is not a visible display set. It's used to color the raw healing segments.

Aha. Would it be possible to add a display set to measure just overhealing, then? Ideally sorted by the % of each person's overhealing relative to their healing. I know the raw healing set displays this information, but it's often difficult to gauge people's overhealing % when the total healing amounts are so different.

You can easily create one :)

Start by copying the Healing Done display set.

If you want the bar value to indicate overhealing%, then use the tag OverhealingDone/Maximum(HealingDone, 1)
If you want the bar value to indicate actual amount overhealed, then use the tag OverhealingDone

For the text tags, you probably want

    Text1 = [Rank]. [Key] ([OverhealingDone:Short])
    Text2 = BarValue:Percent1

Then just set the title tag to something like "Overhealing" and you should be set.

Then I have everyone on my list with 0's which is ugly

    Two options:

    1. Use Threat List and set filter tag to: Key ~= "Aggro Gain"

    2. Use Group Members, and set filter tag to: BarValue ~= 0 (This is one of the provided defaults.. non-zero I think it's called)

re: Threat... hmm.. it should clear automatically as soon as you reenter a new battle. The original idea about threat was to record it and ignore the end-of-fight reset so you can later see what your threat is at the end of any particular fight. Various difficulties were encountered with trying to do this neatly, and hasn't been revisited (yet)

VERY very rough initial incomplete documentation is now in svn.

The html is a mess because it's exported.. bite me, sorry :)

edit: wowace's svn wouldn't let me commit the .css, and various image files that were part of the documentation, so it looks awful right now... oh well.

Remove it by changing list type to Group Members, instead of Threat List

What's wrong with the Healing/Overhealing display set? It doesn't work at all. :(
