    can I get clarification on what CG_Mount is *supposed* to do?

    I thought it would:

    1. cache your equipped set upon mounting and equip your "Mount" set
    2. re-equip the cached set (regardless if it's a "named" set) upon dismount
    3. use the named set "Dismount" IF for some reason it couldn't equip the chached set

    What I see is it simply uses the Mount set to mount and the Dismount set on dismount. If I don't have a Dismount set it does nothing at all on dismount.

    This doesn't seem right.

    hmmm... I guess you are right. Should I turn off bugsack? Can the catching of these errors being thrown be causing slowdowns because now bugsack has to catch them?

    I have actually given up on aguf because I cannot seem to run it without 100s of secure call problems like the ones you list here. I don't know a lot about the root of the problems... all I know is if I use Sage unit frames (which I like but would like to have more control of their layout) I get almost nothing in my bugsack... ever.

    exactly... that is how you create new status mods or layouts for grid.

    for aguf you need to change the layouts.xml don't you? Therefore this technique would still require you to modify that file inside the aguf addon folder, otherwise, it's golden ;)

    wow, thx for putting in the relational DKP mode... that is truly a responsive thing to do.

    I will be trying this out asap and will let you know.

    Sad that the 40 man raid is going the way of the DoDo and the demand for DKP systems is likely to be light until people level a bit in TBC but it's good to see a solid mod available to step in when we are ready.

    what format does the URL need to be pointing to for custom stations? There seem to be many different "types" of feeds be they Shoutcast, Realmedia, etc.

    Can you point us to a place which has some good alternate feeds that work with MS?

    I don't want it stored in SavedVariables either... that's what makes CTRaidTracker and Gatherer etc so bloated. I think storing raid data on a web site is the right way to do things and then importing/exporting as needed to keep the mod fresh with data.

    oh, just a note on data import/export... the docs don't say much about it but your comments seem to indicate that EQDKP is the target.

    Can I ask that you generalize this a little more an publish the data formats for what your mod expects from an import and what your mod will output for an export? I don't plan on using eqDKP and will likely be writing a custom plugin for the e107 portal system like I did with raid signups for my guild and thus I would like to have it spelled out regarding input/output formats.

    Effort/Loot systems - thanks for those links teedog. Both of those mods I have looked at but rejected because EPGP stores all the data in guild/officer notes and this is not a viable way to track real data like DKP. I like EPGP in concept but cannot implement the mod as it is today. Relational DKP is very similar (minus EPGP's concept of the "raid window" of last n raids) but I do not have much faith in the mod itself. It really seems to be cobbled together and tries to do things it shouldn't.

    I would like to see a mod that can track the ratio of DKP/lifetime loot as its key figure. I.e. when you link an item in a raid, MorgBid would output similar to this:

    Head of Nefarian:

    Toon1 Need 3.76
    Toon2 Need 3.35
    Toon3 Need 2.82
    Toon4 Pass 4.77
    ...

    I suppose I could rig EQDKP (or my own custom web layout) to output those numbers rather than the total DKP number and import that in the perl script. Would Morg handle the decimals?

    Attributing DKP - what I was getting at was, some DKP raid trackers actually attribute DKP during a raid. For instance: url=http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6577-TakBot3.html]TakBot[/url] allows awarding of DKP in 3 modes... standard, farm, and progression. The way it does that is that it assigns values for 2 variables... DKP per boss/event and DKP per hour. Farm has more weight on per boss while progression has more awarded per hour. I would love to see MorgDKP award DKP as part of its functionality.

    - agree with exe phobia. If source can be given at least someone can compile it themselves.

    - I am seriously looking at this for my guild and had a couple of questions.
    - am I missing something in the awarding of DKP? there seems to be a start bonus capability and a way of manually adding DKP but is there a way to automatically add DKP per boss kill and/or per time unit?
    - my guild is likely trying to go to a DKP system that reflects effort divided by loot. It would be wonderful to be able to have the total DKP number be a factor of points/given loot rather than just the point total. The mod would need to track 3 numbers... DKP (for effort points), loot values given (the denominator) and the ratio (DKP/loot)

    zomg ag... that is an amazing tweak. I have charge and intercept bound and now I can just hit the key combo and BAM!! Very nice addition. Seems small but actually is huge. I take it that it will use your target or if none, then the player as the target of the spell?

    @Clad - as I stated above, I have no idea what has gone on between you and the Ace project so I won't even begin to comment on it. I do remember being chewed out by you on WoWI after I got PerfectRaid supported by an alternate clickcast mod called Smartheal Enhanced. Your stance then was "Clique already does that, and its my addon" which I found to be quite an absurd response given the code put in to PerfectRaid to support 3rd-party clicks.

    I am no Ace fanboi. I agree with Tek... the goal of the shared library approach of Ace is to make available to mod developers a framework that, in theory, should make writing some of the tricky code much easier. You can still develop bloated and poorly written Ace mods... and I have stopped using some Ace mods because of it. I use non-Ace mods for certain functions because I prefer their functionality. For instance, I find Tuller to be a mod author that codes nice stuff. I use Bongos as my bar mod because it does exactly what I want. I have tried Bartender3 and while it's also a very nice bar mod, I prefer Bongos.

    In that light, I tried Click2Cast last night and truly find it more usable, for my needs, than Clique. Is that saying that Clique sucks? Not at all. In the same way that I prefer Bongos over Bartender3 when they do exactly the same thing, I simply prefer the setup of C2C through the FuBar than I do the Clique through the spellbook.

    Think of it as a vi/emacs thing... both edit files, but they approach it differently. Both have their fans and both can exist quite nicely without having the others be offended at its existence.

    As for AG's original post... C2C is all of 4k right now and all it lacks from my point of view is the ability to ignore frames. The rest are all libs that I have loaded already. Is this saying that Clique is a bloated pig? Not in the slightest. All that AG is saying about C2C is that it's likely to consume less memory overall because it's small, focused and efficiently uses the Ace libraries as they are supposed to be used. Not in a fanboi sense, but in a reality sense.

    I made this work with Sage Unit Frames. I submitted my changes to Tuller over at WoWI and hopefully he will implement it in a future release.
