Nov 5, 2007I tend to agree with Phanx on this... the mod does exactly what I want and adding all kinds of other ways to display what is essentially supposed to be "emergency" text is just overkill. Isn't that why we have unit frames?Posted in: General AddOns

Tuller, this is actually true. I am not sure it is specifically regarding Bag_Fu but when I installed Alpha 2 and looked in my bank, two things happened...
1. right-clicking something in my bag did not put it in the bank
2. my bank got all screwed up. It showed only 1 bag (I had 4) and no items in that bag (possible but I don't think it was true). The whole bank display was just totally messed up.
I will test again without Bag_Fu to see if that's the problem.

I used to use both Sage UF (I use Pitbull now because prefer my UFs to be symmetrical and cast bar on top) and bagnon (use Baggins now for categories and integration with ItemRack).Posted in: General AddOns
So I love this mod.
Besides the things it obviously needs (definable categories and a moveable frame), I would like to see a limit on the amount of scaling a panel does. So, for instance, if I only have 1 of a category, I don't think I want a HUGE item staring at me. Maybe make the largest scaling be 4 across or something.
Other than that, this mod works great and is another great Tuller-eque mod... simple in function, tight, and without a lot of extra stuff no one uses.

Pet peeve, though, is why the auras portion is called "Hots". Yes, I see that it's a HoT counter, but as a raid leader, I track soulstones, misdirects, innervates, and the like in combat and also track buffs out of combat. Having this whole section called Hots is pretty misleading.
Other than that, I have already replaced PerfectRaid with BoB. PR, imo, has never been the same since it was ported to v2. Version 1, while lacking mana bars, was almost perfect and it took a large dip in functionality in v2 which it is only now coming out of.

I am not a big fan of the washed out blue you (and other mods like pitbull) use for mana... I prefer a bold, true blue. So I decided to alter your manabar module to allow users to change their mana, rage, energy colors to their liking.
The code is attached if you think you might want it. If not, no worries ;)

Oct 17, 2007so... I hacked together a new module for power (mana, rage, energy). It works great. I haven't decided if I will add a PowerBarText yet or not... the bar is good enough as all I really want as raid leader is a quick glance at general level, not actual values. So while it works nicely, it displays beside the HealthBar. I kinda would prefer a bar underneath the HealthBar of about 2-4 pixels like PerfectRaid has. This doesn't seem possible with the generic layout code of the master mod... modules seem restricted to their horizontal slots only. Is this true?

they are faded because your party is not in range... turn off range checking

One of the things I liked about the old old Perl Unitframes was the addon that gave you a "combat display". Basically it was a cut down version of the player frame (later added target I think) that only showed health and power. No portraits, auras, flags, none of that stuff.
The frame was very useful especially for a tank (which I am) as I generally put it at my toon's feet so I could very easily see my health and not be bothered by other stuff in the regular player frame.
Yes, I know I could achieve some of this through a HUD but, honestly, I hate HUDs. All this combat frame needs is a subset of the other frames and be a different frame than the player frame.
I am loathe to do this on my own as I would prefer someone who knows the code do it for efficiency rather than me hacking it.
Jun 9, 2007is anyone having problems with buttons sometimes disappearing? it's very weird behavior and I will try and SS it when it happens but here are the symptoms:Posted in: General AddOns
1. warrior in beserker stance
2. several buttons (these bars are stance swapped) go blank sometimes... generally during combat. They seem to be the same ones... demo shout, victory rush
3. if I bring up my spellbook, the buttons are back (!!) but when I close the spellbook, they disappear again
4. reload UI seems to fix
Anyone else having similar issues? (I read the last 3 pages)
Next time I see it I will SS
EDIT:: I had this happen again and screen shotted.
Screen 1 is me in combat... notice 3 buttons have disappeared
Screen 2 shows that they reappear if I bring up my spellbook
screen 3 shows they don't come back even out of combat
any help would be appreciated
