Decided tonight to switch to DB addons and I discovered your mod. I adore it! It saves so much time and space. Minimap buttons irk me to no end so it's great.

I was just wondering if there were any plans to add the option to set it to hide til you mouseover it? Or at least change the transparency on "normal" and then on "mouseover." If not, could you consider adding it? It must be useful to someone other than me!

    Thanks so much.

Is there any way to add a "just buff me!" or "buff self first!" toggle(s) for BGs?

When I res in AV and I'm the only one around, I end up having to manually buff myself. If there was a toggle along those lines, it would work perfectly.

Other than that, I've got no complaints. The mod works beautifully. My mage, druid and hunter all love it!

Variable length actionbars is a quite complex feature used by relatively few people (G15 owners and those people who MUST put everything in a big, ugly back bar at the bottom of their screen!) - and by necessity makes returning to the regular Blizzard bars (or another bar mod) much harder - I'm not sure it counts as 'lightweight'...

Let's not push Tuller into making this a new version of Bongos just yet eh?

Being totally ignorant of LUA, it seemed like something that would be minor and used by the majority. Most screenshots I've seen of UIs have more or less than the standard 12 buttons per row.

But meh. It's done so it's a moot point.

Like Lindalas, I've been using Bongos since it's inception. I've admittedly become a bit of a "fangrrl" (if you'll pardon the expression) and have a deep respect for minimalist mods that are well written. If a mod author I'm a fan of determines something is unwanted bloat, I'm going to agree. :)

Thanks again for addressing my inquiry so quickly, Tuller.

    Thanks. :)

I voted for Embargo but I've grown rather used to Mangos, too. :)

Are there any plans to add the ability to set the number of buttons per specific bar? I saw the conversation earlier regarding /commands for this but it looked like that would make *every* bar resize.

What I usually do is have 2 bars of 12 for my main bars and then a smaller 5 button bar acting as my "consumables" bar. I was able to work around this for now by hiding unused buttons and just putting 5 things on the bar. I miss seeing unused buttons on all my other bars though!

The mod is very well written and I adore it. Every time I updated Bongos, I deleted all other files except for the AB ones and used it in its simplest form. This mod is just customizable enough for my needs without adding extra fluff (except for the above mentioned question of course).

Keep up the brilliant work, Tuller!

I just saw this on the WAU a few mins ago and thought to come in and check this thread. :)

This looks like it would be great for BGs or world pvp but I'm looking more for a raiding/5 man environment, too. For now, I've gone back to Grid and am content for now.

Thanks for coming in here and sharing though. I'm sure others will find this very useful!

    AuraToChat mebbe?

Unfortunately, this isn't quite fitting the bill. It's not class specific/spammy as all get out in AV and just awkward to set up/nearly impossible to put in ALL the debuffs mobs do -- manually.

    Any takers?

Checking AtC now. Hopefully it fits the bill! I'm concerned it might be spammy as hell in AV though. :/

posted a message on Notification of debuff mod
I would like a mod that will notify me - either in a scrolling combat frame/raid frame/whatever I choose - when me or someone in my raid/party gets debuffed by something I can dispell. That's all,

I don't want it to decurse for me, I don't want it to select my target...all I want is notification. Ideally, I would be able to toggle it off/on easily so I don't get spammed in AV (or have it automagically disable in AV? Ignore out of range? I dunno)

There are modules for Grid that will alert you but I use Sraidframes. I find Grid to be way more information than I need and setting it up is a daunting task. As a DPSer, I'm often tied up looking at my scorch stacks or for my next target and don't pay attention to who needs decursing. Sure, I could use Decursive or whatever else is out there but it puts the annoying boxes on the screen and is waaaaay more than I need.

I've been searching for a mod like this for quite some time to no avail. I've tried pulling bits of code out of other AddOns to get ideas/piecing together something but honestly, I'm so not "code minded" that it's complete gibberish to me. If I could do it myself I would! I cannot - and that's why I'm here.

Does a mod like this exist already? If so, please share!

    Thanks very much.

altnames module is THE thing why Prat > all. As soon as any other chatmod will have it, ill switch. So tired of looking guildlist in a search of notes to see whos speaking

I am a member in a very large guild and *need* a mod that does this to keep my sanity. Someone in our guild wrote a mod that works fine for our needs. If you have any questions, I suggest posting in that thread and/or pming Omni directly on those forums. The mod and a readme are available at:

I've played w/ this mod briefly and I really like it. Once the minor tweaks are worked out, this will definitely replace my current buff mod (that I don't really like anymore!)

The one thing I can't figure out is how to manually add spells to templates. Reading the tooltip, it tells you that if you shift-click an item, it will remove it. Well..I went on a bit of a shift-clicking spree and removed all my spells from self-buffing. It now says I have "none" and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get them back.

    Help? :)

At the very least, I would love to see a "date originally added" column and be able to click on it for sorting. Being able to sort by most recently updated would be awesome, too.

Aethra: All my comments are subjective to me, so take it with a grain of salt, you might hate my taste =P Your tooltip is too far from your target frame. That makes my eyes move from top left screen to bottom right screen. Only other comment I have is make everything match, texture, border etc of your unitframes, threat meter, etc.

*nod* I actually used to be a big fan of Bento and now use the Button texture. I was a bit slow in switching some of the things over but they've made it now. :) As for the borders, I'll get to that. ;)

You are correct about the tooltip being far. I never really thought of that. I tend to keep things in the same general area as the default UI. Hmmm..Not sure where I would put it at this point. I've tried having my UF and Target at the bottom but I just couldn't get used to it.
