I have a minor feature request.

Could you add .git to the list of subdirectories that cause an addon to be ignored by the updater, like .svn does now?

Are you using version 1.43 of JWU?

    Yes.

Does it fix it to delete babble and then install it again via JWU?

Yes. I had to do that last time, so since I ran into it again I decided to post here.

Im looking in to this, but its almost impossible to fix unless i can reproduce the problem and thus find excactly what triggers it.

It usually updates fine, but once in a while it crops up, and only with Babble.

I made an archive of my AddOns in the same state that was causing the error. You can download it here [rapidshare]

Has anyone else had a problem with upgrading Babble-2.2 periodically? I tried updating it and got the same bug again, where it repeatedly says Babble is out of date on SplitUpdate. Each time it appears to download Babble again. The log shows this:

Strangely enough, using "Take All" with only cash in my inbox (only had one AH mail at the time) locks up the client. When I used "Take All" with only items in my mailbox things worked fine.

I never, ever use Internet Exploder. In fact, I block all of its actions as much as I possibly can.

Ditto on that, though I do use IE for Windows Update (I don't use automatic updates).

My biggest annoyance at this point is the flash ads. The contents of those ads (as crappy as they usually are) aren't the problem. I do not have, and never will have Flash for IE installed. Getting nagged to install Flash when I open WAU is an annoyance (though I'm probably the minority as far as who this impacts).

    Feature request:

Make the updater ignore addons that have a .svn directory in them like WowAceUpdater. That way we can preserve addons that have either been checked out from SVN or that we have made modifications to and don't want to be upgraded.

    it does this currently

I wouldn't have posted that if it hadn't nuked a few of my addons that I made modifications to. Thankfully I backed things up.

WowAceUpdater has been faithfully preserving those addons, so I was in for quite a surprise when that happened.

EDIT: "Reinstall Addons" definitely doesn't respect the .svn directory. Just checked it.

Drinyth: Mirror farms are hard to manage, especially those donated by individuals. Sounds great in theory, horrible in practice.

Is it that bad to have a mirror rsync'd periodically? So long as everyone and their grandmother isn't allowed to rsync it shouldn't be that hard on the server.

It's locking up the game for me as well, which I first noticed with r43288 and still present in r43291.

I can't give you any error output as at this time I've let it sit for about 10 minutes and it still haven't gave me control back.

Can anyone try disabling/moving the PvP icon on the player frame? I and another poster at a different forum have noticed that neither option works.

    Using r42443.
