Well I did some more testing with the version I referenced before (24043) and it is specifically happens when Beancounter (Beancounter from Auctioneer checks bid wins / losses) is installed. If I turn off bean counter my testing shows that the deletion does not happen. So it potentially is a logic conflict that beancounter and and postman have in common.
Well I was a little annoyed but all the programs in the SVN are beta i.e. use at my own risk. I was also dumb in that I clicked on a few more items before I realized what happened.
Yes I also have beancounter installed (auctioneer until we get KC_Items2!!!) so that may be a problem as well.
Warning Warning - Major Bug. I think there is a bug in the code somewhere regarding right clicking from the mailbox. I right clicked on the items in the mailbox that I had just won from the AH and get the message "Postman:Received Large Brilliant Shard from Auction House". The message is gone, but no item is in inventory. It looks like the item was deleted along with message! I'm so used to mailto that I was just right clicking away and not paying attention. So I lost 4 brilliant shards and three essences of air.
My version is 2.0.24043.
I would like to say this is a great mod, just hopefully this can be fixed.
Much appreciate the fishing notes. Will try it in a few days once some of the kinks get worked out. The stonescale eel pools last thing from FB/Gatherer that I need to get rid of Gatherer.
Finally got the master reet data working for mining. I second the points that were made earlier - can we get the icons to look more like the ones in Gatherer, and specifically, have a different icon for rich thorium vein vs. small thorium vein?
Icerat - I did what you suggested with the TOC change and loaded Gatherer(was thinking that but not sure how to get old gatherer working) and I had the exact same error as you with nil error. Any further advice?
This is a great addon and the functionality has been improving steadily. One thing that I have not been able to get working is the gatherer import. There still is no documentation on the import module, I went through the lua file and still not sure how to get it to work, also used the search functionality to find data related to import and there is no clear direction on how this cart_import is used. Also tried substituting the converted cart_mining and cart_herbalism files that were converted from gather.reet.org data by Azmodan and they don't seem to work - the format has changed for the herbalism and mining modules (I guess there is a version 2.0 fo this now?)
So my question is how does one step by step import gatherer data (from gatherer.lua in SavedVariables)?
No not WowAceUpdater taking space, Microsoft Net always running in background taking 33 Megs. That was pretty clear from the sentence "that requires Microsoft Net constantly running in the background".
Surely you don't think that someone that posted this is slow enough not to close a program after it's finished?
This is a great tool - right now I do all my updates by hand - find out which files have been updated and then download, delete the old files in the \addons folder.
My question, and excuse my ignorance - is why concentrate on using Ace tools with a minimum memory footprint when an Ace downloader that requires Microsoft Net constantly running in the background which seems to take
a ton of memory, for every application, not just one.
Specifically I downloaded Microsoft Net 2.0 and it's memory usage is about 34 MB while running in the background. That's a lot of Ace addons! And probably as bad as the largest bloatware addins such as Auctioneer, Gatherer and Mobinfo combined.
So my question would be either one of two options: 1) Is there any way to code this fantastic tool without using Microsoft Net (and I probably know the answer - sure - but it's not going to happen) or 2) Is there any way that I can have Net load on demand instead of sucking resources (the uploader is the only program that uses Net) - i try to keep my gaming computer as lean as possible.
Up on the SVN and Zip files archive is Cartographer_Import. Notes say it is for Gatherer data in Cartographer. Is this working yet? Any specific commands to use for the import? I would love to import data but have been a little gunshy with the scripts that are posted earlier.

Edit: New version corrected issue. Thanks!

Will test tonight with much cheaper mats from AH.
