When being rezzed in Naxxramas tonight, I received a message that ClosetGnome_OhNoes was reequiping my weapons, but the weapons did not get equipped. Screenshot:

    oCD r20065 with Bartender3 r20068 on a 60 dwarf priest:

When I have Desperate Prayer in bar1, button1, oCD displays a cooldown with the incorrect icon (it uses the icon for Fear Ward).

When I have Desperate Prayer in bar2, button4, oCD does not display a cooldown when used.

The screenshot is from TBC beta, but the error message is indicative of what I'm seeing on the 2.0 live servers. Specifically in the Naxxramas abomination wing near the frogger slimes, dozens of CHAT_MSG_SPELL_* messages are being spammed. According to a guildmate who paired down addons until it disappeared, SCL appears to be the culprit.

posted a message on ag_UnitFrames - suggestions, requests and temp fixes thread
In the Elitist Jerks UI discussion thread, there's a screenshot linked that displays 28 debuffs (10 per row) with ag_UnitFrames:

    http://img143.imageshack.us/my.php?image=wowscrnshot121106012723ef6.jpg

The author of that screenshot said he didn't change any code. So, was 40 buff/debuff support added in the past couple of days? Unfortunately the changelog included with wowace.com/files zips is no longer a useful resource since it only lists the most recent change.

On a related note, Grid is now in a feature-freeze while documentation is being written. I hope to have a stable, documented version of Grid ready for TBC.

Please include information on how same-level priorities are resolved. If two or more events have the same priority and both are active, is the first one displayed? Last one?

Having a quick method to view/dump priorities of all events would be useful for debugging configurations. Priority is one of the biggest strengths (and best ideas) with this addon.

Maybe it's just a combination of inverse bars and me, but in raid situations it's often difficult for me to differentiate between completely visible units and reduced alpha unit frames. So adding a third level of 'alphaness' to unit frames isn't very appealing to me, although I definitely see the logic of it. Changing the color of the Center Text of group members (in my config, it's their name) would be a more attractive approach for me to visually distinguish who is in or out of range of PoH, assuming that's a legal operation with Blizzard's secure frames.

Did you try binding the range module to a different indicator instead to the frame alpha? you could e.g. display units out of range with a red border instead.

Initially I did, but I found it very distracting to be attracted to a highlighted unit that was out of range. My border indicator is slightly overloaded as is with aggro, low health and another indicator I can't think of while I'm at work.

    hey

i was toying around with grid as i extremely like the idea, but having two issues:

in sort by class mode, it leaves an empty column for paladins (i am horde, so prolly vice versa for alliance). is it possible to remove that? it looks stupid and also means the window is unnecessairily big.

    http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=2525.msg64487#msg64487

Considering it's a non-issue in 5 weeks, I wouldn't expect this to be addressed in the official release.

posted a message on Sacred Buff
The Sacred Buff wiki page is empty, and there's no specific thread for this mod. Since this is the only Necrosis-like mod working for priests at the moment, I'm eager to know what's on the short-term todo list.

Specifically, will functionality be added to change the buttons and what the center circle displays? I already have the number of sacred candles in my inventory displayed by ReagentFu (which also handles feathers). I'd prefer to have current/max health displayed in the center circle, and mana displayed in the immediate surrounding ring. I'd like to put a macro in one of the outside buttons for SmartRes, instead of using the built-in Resurrection button.

Also, being able to only display the frame when moused over would be very welcome.

    ^

That happen randomly in any situation where Grid is being used. Be it a group or raid situation. I haven't been able to pin point how it's happening. It's pretty damn annoying though!

    -Awake

I assume you mean the frame anchor is moving by itself?

If you're running Trinity Buttons, they don't play nicely with Grid. There's a temp fix posted two pages back.

Compared to the rest of the items on the wishlist I posted, solving the Prayer of Healing OOR dilemma is much higher priority than anything else to me. The PoH OOR issue has bugged me since the first day I got the spell as a priest, and I'm determined to find a solution. :) Grid is by far the closest framework I've seen so far that could solve the problem.

Whats probably confusing is that Grid has two seperate range checks: one is the module that changes the alpha of a unit. This one is hardcoded to 40yrds, but a possible option is to slowly alter the alpha - aka keep the unit completely visible if <30yrds, rather visible at <40yrds, rather transparent at <100yrds and invisible at >100yrds. The other range checks are part of all the other modules. E.g. debuffs are only displayed on a 30yrd range, buffs on a 40yrd range. These values are hardcoded too. Also please be aware that they won't auto-update - so someone could have been debuffed when at 29yrds, then move to 35yrds and the buff would still show. Until someone can think of a perfect way to deal with range, we won't see any change in these modules.

Maybe it's just a combination of inverse bars and me, but in raid situations it's often difficult for me to differentiate between completely visible units and reduced alpha unit frames. So adding a third level of 'alphaness' to unit frames isn't very appealing to me, although I definitely see the logic of it. Is anyone actively developing this idea from the Grid wishlist as a separate addon?

    * (a) refactor the Detox "Filter" feature into Grid
o in Grid icons/corners(?) menu add a checkbox option to "Filter Debuffs"
o Filter Debuffs will hide debuff indicators according to class curable buffs
o Filter Debuffs according to the Detox "Filter" feature

    later iteration ideas:

    * (b) import Detox "Filter" data on upgrade (at which point Detox becomes deprecated
o Does this mean that Grid should take over the Detox saved variables?
    * examine Detox "Filter" feature for possible optimizations - compare against debuff icon instead of debuff tooltip name (drawing inspiration from LazyScript/BackseatDriver)
    * dialog to capture list of debuffs and categorize unrecognized debuffs
    * automatically observe new debuffs for later categorization

Now that GridStatusAuras includes a class filter, it should be trivial to add/import settings from Detox.

Before I add this to the wishlist, I need to know if I'm interpreting the code and scope of available Blizzard UI features correctly. With IsSpellInRange() in 2.0, it looks like range checking is as precise as the spells/abilities available to the player. For example, as a priest, Mind Control has a range of 20, Dispel Magic has a range of 30 and all heals have a range of 40. So out of range checks could be set to trigger on a range of 20, 30 or 40 (instead of the default 40 that Grid uses). If it works this way, then my wishlist would look like this:

Grid Status - Multiple OOR checks

    - Allow multiple Out of Range checks, one for each range available to the player.
    - Provide class-specific defaults for all OOR distances available.
    - Provide an option to limit scope of range checks to group-only.

As a priest, there are a couple of scenerios where it's beneficial to know which Grid units are within a range of a specific spell:
    * Prayer of Healing has a range of 30 (33/36 talented). Unless you individually target each other group member and visually verify they are in range of another 30' spell, it's not possible to know if they are in range for a Prayer of Healing before you cast it. While I doubt you can use IsSpellInRange() specifically with Prayer of Healing (since it's AE), you could use the range for Smite or Holy Fire, since they have the same base range and the talent that increases their range also increases PoH range.
    * Holy Nova has a range of 10 (11/12 talented). Same issues as Prayer of Healing. While I doubt you can use IsSpellInRange() specifically with Holy Nova (since it's AE), you could fudge it and use the minimal interact distance of 10 as an approximation.

    Non-class specific:
    * Phase 1 C'Thun requires players to be 10' apart from one another to avoid chaining the eyebeam. I'd like to be able to use Grid to show which other players in the raid are too close to me.

I too would very much like to see an option to see pet health bars in grid.

Me too. But: Blizzards support of pets in SecureRaidHeaders is terrible. All you can do is anchor a pet to a unit - but you can't create a column with all pets. Also I can't even think of an easy way to have one column with players and pets - so you'd e.g. need to have a free space next/below *each* unit, and if the unit has a pet, this space is used, and if not, it has to stay empty (but can't collapse).

If a unit has a pet, is it feasible to make the player unit frame half height and anchor the pet unit frame below it?

Without a pet, a unit frame takes up this much 'space':
    RAIDPLAYER_X
    RAIDPLAYER_X

With a pet, a unit frame takes up half the height:
    RAIDPLAYER_X
    RAIDPET_X

If it's not possible to scale raid unit frames independently, what about fiddling with the depth of the pet frame? If a raid unit does not have a pet, then the pet frame is underneath the raid unit frame. If the raid unit does have a pet, then the half-height pet frame is on top of the player unit frame, effectively covering half of the raid unit frame.

Excellent mod! I was a previous TTSpellTimer user and tried HotCandy, DotTimer and Chronometer when 2.0 was released. This does the best job of supporting HoTs/DoTs for priests that I've found.

    Thank you!
