posted a message on AutoBar by Toadkiller (official thread)
the comment about trinket slots reminded me of something I haven't had a chance to look into thoroughly yet.

I have been using Autobar, TrinketMenu, and Outfitter in combination for a long time. I mention these three because in theory each of them has the capability to automatically equip and unequip my riding crop when I'm mounted. In fact, that used to happen, but it isn't happening any more. No change to my trinkets when mounting. Any suggestions as to where I should look first?

This mod is great, but I've recently become annoyed by one thing: I can't move the tooltips. When I mouse over a bag (because I want to see which slots belong to that bag) the tooltip is always anchored at the top right of the bag icon, and covers up the bag slots. I've tried moving it with Cowtip, I've tried moving it with the various "anchoring' options in AI. Either it can't be done, or I'm missing something. If the latter, please someone enlighten me. If the former, can that ability please be added? Soon? :-)

An interesting thing I just noticed: if I mouse over an item in my bags, if it's on the left half of the window, the tooltip is anchored to the top right of the slot; if it's on the right half of the window, the tooltip is anchored on the top left of the slot. Haven't tried to move that, so don't know if I can. Maybe "items:anchoring" will move it, I dunno.

still works for me with nQL. You may have hidden the LH window, in which case there will be a small tab sticking out of the right side of your quest log window. Not sure how (or if) that affects how/whether LH displays from the tracker.

it wasn't removed. There are two arrows to the right of the menu icon (top left of the AI window). Clicking (or right clicking, I'm not sure) brings up a menu, one item of which is "keyring".

posted a message on WoW UI Updater (Win/OSX/Linux, supports multiple sites), 1.6 thread
I downloaded QuestHelper manually from curse, and then edited the site id info, and then tried to smartupdate it. Wouldn't update. I tried using WUU's database for site id info, and it give the correct id (9924), but when I try to update, I get this error:
2008-04-13 17:19:24: (WARN) Download of QuestHelper failed, URL=http://media.curse.com/dl2/47/49/915.zip/QuestHelper.zip: HTTP Error 404: Not Found

It does find the correct online version number, so I told WUU to just go ahead and update it (not smartupdate). That worked. So why didn't the smartupdate?

You have a BT3 icon on your fubar? Shift click on it to unlock the bars. Or double click to open the config window. Or type "/bt3"

You can move your chat windows without an addon, if I'm not mistaken. Right click on the title tab and unlock the window, then click and drag on the tab.

Questannouncer does it. There used to be a similar addon called Questannounce, but I don't believe that's around any more.

I once thought nQL did it, but I never found it in the nQL menus.

There are some issues to overcome with including base stats.

    1. Every race/class combination has difference base stats at level 70.
    2. Collecting the information for this, at just level 70 is difficult, because it requires people to unspec all talents, strip all gear and no buffs active, for the 40+ race/class combinations
    3. It won't work at any other level if only level 70 data is collected.

I think I only have base stats data of some 10-15 race/class combinations.

    4. Some things like crit% are based on weapon skill. So if your mace skill is at 300 instead of 350, then your crit% is different.
    5. When you are stripped naked, some of the base stats (particularly base ranged crit%) are incorrect as no weapon is equipped.

There's a wowwiki page that lists base stats by race, with a second table for class bonuses, but it appears to consider "base stats" to be for a new character. I have the impression (I could be wrong) that when you level, either you always get the same stat increases (probably class and race dependent) in which case the idea of level 70 base stats is meaningful, or which stats get increased and/or by how much is somewhat random, in which case the idea does not make any sense. <shrug>

    Leopard.

On another note, in another forum I suggested WUU, somebody tried it and said he had problems with it "updating" addons he had installed long ago just to try out, and then deleted. He inferred that WUU is looking in the wtf folder to determine what addons need to be updated - which would imply a need to delete associated files from that folder whenever you delete an addon. Is this the case?
