Xin was asking about in-game help/FAQ pages, so by the wording my answer would be a rather clear yes, he has to worry about it.
I don't see how saying that "you accept donations" is not a form of soliciting donations. I think the intend of their paragraph is clear. They do not want stuff relating to donations appear in game, but elsewhere is fine.
Apologies - it wasn't clear to me that he asking about in game precisely - still at least we agree :)
Does that mean i need to remove the "Do you accept donations? Yes, send them to xxx@yyy.com using paypal" FAQ question in some of my addons that come with in-game help files?
It's kind of grayish as to whether it is "soliciting" or "requests for donation".

Short answer to your question is no
Longer is because of the precise wording in Blizz's terms. If your 'you can donate here message' appeared in game it would break their terms. If your message appears in files that do not give messages on screen in wow, you are fine - so an installer script that put up a message box saying 'you can donate here', a big red lettered box at the start of a readme file and so on are all fine
Its 'in game' that blizz are saying is not allowed - what appears on a users screen elsewhere is not covered
Note also that the terms require that the addon can be got for free. That does not disallow paid for services that run updaters, providing the (by implication same) addons can be got for free in some way.
Also they explicitly ban 'crippleware' addons or ones that time expire after a while unless you pay for something are out too.
Guys, I'm not a lawyer but have spent 20 years decoding their language into everyday meanings in a very complex operating environment (and paying the bastards millions in the process for my employers)- this stuff is not so hard.
Sad to see some authors withdrawing addons, but I think a lot if not all are massively over-reacting
This is one of those addons that for me made the game playable across all my classes, so I really miss it
However its not working at all for me know. Doesn't display bars for abilites that it used to, some it shows buts sets the timer to 254 minutes, expired bars get stuck on the screen
I used clean wtf and addon folders at patch in an attempt to minimise issues, downlaoading patch 3 friendly version of addons from scratch, and then re-built my UIs, so hopefully its not old / corrupt variables hanging about. Have since deleted and installed CT but all to no avail? Even turned off all the addons and just turned this one on, then adding others one only at a time to try and find conflicts, which got me nowhere either
Help gratefully received.. If it is broken and not going to be maintained, can anyone suggest a replacement that will provide similar functionality for Player & Target and Focus frames?
Is it possible to do for Shaman's Maelstrom Weapon charges something similar to the combo points function that I use for my Druid?
The idea would be to show one dot for each of the charges of MW that is up on the target, and for preference then flash / flag in some way to the player when there are 5 charges up (or 4 , the choice to be a player option)
I can do this with ShockandAwe but would rather not run two addons where one will do and MW charges seem so similar to the layman like me, anyway
This is a bug and will be fixed in the next release, sorry.
OK thx Jncl - and plse do not apologise - this is a very nice addon :)- usually when I get issues like this it means I've missed a point somewhere....
And thx Cashtro - I have messed about with eepanels and know it can look awesome, but for me Skinner seems simpler to use so I've not really tried to take it on
Now all I have to do is get it so a skinner panel comes up to back my pitbull raid frames and does not show the rest of the time- as you can tell I'm not an advanced user.....
OK run several searches for this but if its been answered already apologies etc - and also for the fact that I am strictly amateur when it comes to addons
Skinner middle frames do not seem to save for me - when I /rl or relog in they are allsat stacked in the middle of the screen again for all the toons where I have a profile set. The one toon on my son's account that has default as the profile keeps them all in place just fine
Any thoughts please on how I can get them to behave?
Could not find anything here but apologies in advance if this has been answered before
What I want to know is if I can produce a raid layout rather like one of Healbot's with main tanks in a group of their own and then the rest of the raid members?
My raid layout is a vertical column of bars coloured by class against the right hand edge of the screen, containing the player name and a percentage figure for mana/energy to the right and the debuffs I can cure aligned on the left (I'm a shammy main). What I wanted to do was have the desgnated main tanks in a block, in this column, all together, and then the rest of the column to be by raid group, but without repeating the frames for the MTs.
As far as I can see I can of course use the Pitbull MT frames but they will be duplicated in the raid set up which I do not want as it wastes screen space. Mostly I'm enhance but when I'm healing (using clique) this would be very helpful as I'd have everything on one place

ah, I wondered if DOgTag might be the answer but have never messed with it beyond a copy and past of a few tags that people have posted
Anyone feel like helping me out?

Still love Pitbull, thanks for all the work on it
