I noticed an issue while raiding: the memory usage of MiniChat was up by 10 MiB.
Does this problem persist? Did you use external libs?

The combat log maximises nearly (!) everytime the "normal" chat window maximises (for obvious reasons). I would like to have it mimized at all times, just need to open it manually to review some things.
So do you have the combat log attached to the default chat frame?

Could you experiment with the clamping option?

Or maybe just seperate min/max alpha settings by window?
Would this be enough? Because I consider your other request interessting but complicated.

Is it possibly to make the combat log maximize when things are recorded in the log?
That would mean to register maaaany new events. But I knew that this request would come. If enough people want it I'll do my best.
For the record: When should the combat log be maximized? On everything or if you take damage etc.?

If I set the number of lines when minimized to more then one, the windows was not high enough to really show these lines.
I tried to fix this with math.ceil (round up) with the newest commit.

Yes, that's true for max on /1, /2 and /3, too, because there is no good way I know to get which windows display those.

If you want to tinker a bit you can open up Core.lua, go to line 1259 and replace
    for i=1,NUM_CHAT_WINDOWS do self:CatchMessage(i) end
    with
    self:CatchMessage(x)

where x has to be the number of the window to maximize. 1 is the default window.

    1. Maximize on loot
    2. Option to make the minimized windows more than 1 line.
    Implemented. (<-I love saying this)

Am I being a complete nubcake here?
When you create new windows you have to relog/reloadUI or re-enable MiniChat to affect them.

the Auto-maximize feature works great on every channel I've tried it on, except for the trade channel /2
Thanks for the reporting that. Actually all three server channels didn't work.
I commited a fix but for now it will maximize all your chat windows instead of just the related ones if something's written in /1, /2 or /3.

Still having that issue with my Combat log repositioning itself on login.
Does this happen often/on every login? If yes can you disable all other addons and try it again?
I would like to know if it is MiniChat causing this, or MiniChat in combination with another addon, or another addon.

Also will there be a feature to pin a window open (via an icon), that would make it perfect for me...
Implemented. Tell me if you like it this way

I have my Combat Log pulled out as a separate chat frame, and whenever I log in it is minimized and shifted upwards, so I have to move it back into place every time.

Also, I noticed what may be a MiniChat issue or a default UI issue: when I drag a chat frame by its title tab, I have to let go of the mouse button while the cursor is over the tab or else it will get stuck to the mouse cursor.

As for the first thing, please check out the new commit.
The second one seems to be a default UI issue, but I'm not that sure about that because it only happens random to me if I try to reproduce this bug.

What about the messages from addons or npcs? Can we also have a trigger for them?
I couldn't find an event neither a good method to hook for addon messages. Perhaps someone can share some knowledge about it.
What npc messages do you want to have an option for? Emotes, Say, Yells? They are treated like they come from players but there is currently no 'AutoMaximize on emote' in MiniChat iirc.
