    Confirmed.
    I don't know if this didn't work before 2.4.
Unfortunately I can't fix this one, yet.

When I log in Minichat properly minimizes the frames to 1 line (as per settings) but the alpha settings are not applied to these frames immediatly
Please post all related settings to help me out as I can't confirm this behavior.

would it be possible to minimize to 0 lines and be rid of the alpha setting completely?
Blizzard's chat frames always display at least one "line" regardless what the frame height is set to.

Clamping won't change as it is Blizzard's design that the tabs don't belong to the chat frames.

    For the not-maximizing-thing:
If you got alts, profile them. If every character uses the same profile, then sometimes the following happens:
    - Char1 has the chat window minimized as you log out. (default profile says: window is minimized)
    - You play with Char2 which has it's chat window maximized as you log out (default profile says: window is maximized)
    - Char1 logs on again. The window is minimized, but MiniChat sets this height as the height to use while maximized, because the default profile said so.

Another problem occurs if you log out during an animated minimization. While doing so the window is still maximized for MiniChat, but the maximized height is set to the current height during this process.

So once again: Profile your chars.
    I hope that helps.

I still check out new posts on a daily basis, but I can't identify your specific problem.

Is it possible to add attaching frames to the bottom of another frame as well as the top? This would totally be awesome.
This was suggested a while ago and I decided it would be too complicated for the moment.

Yes, I did. Pretty strange. Sadly there's no advice I can give you, because I'm equally clueless :D

Would it be possible to have windows minimize and maximize in different locations on the screen?
I'm not sure what you want to do. You can unlock chat frames and move them with the default Blizzard UI.

@Strongbow: I'll look into maximize on loot.

Settings are saved via profiles in the latest release. So it might have reset your's.

As with server channels and loot there's no way I know of to determine to which chat windows the combat log messages get printed to. But I'm definately looking into it again.

Would it be too much to ask you to delete all MiniChat related files in the WTF folder?
It could help but I'm not sure.
I quickly looked through the code again and couldn't find anything.
