    Indentation help:

Can anyone give me any insight as to indentation issues that my commits have been experiencing? Is it a setting in my editor (SciTE), or something in the commit process with Tortoise, or...?

This probably isn't the best location for this post, but people familiar with ag_UF will at least be reading it. I'm not going to make any more commits until I am confident I don't mess up tabs!

I was wondering if the to-do list had anything about showing all frames even if not grouped.  I was looking for an option similar to what was in Minigroup where you could check a box to show party frames for sey up.  Also wondering if there were any future plans to implement a gui like minigroup's or anything else that isnt a dew drop menu.

How about a minimap icon? =)

Nothing is in like that for the moment. It has been talked about briefly in the other thread, and is actually something I would like to learn how to do myself but from my end, it'll take a while :)

I've added ToTT to my local version, are authors who make fixes/adjustments to agUF just committing them to the trunk or is there a separate branch I'm missing?

If you want, get access to the SVN as a developer (email Cladhaire) and make a branch yourself, which goes in the following location: wowace/branches/ag_UnitFrames/YourName/ag_UnitFrames (or something very similar to that.)

Alternatively, you can just create a patch using TortoiseSVN that shows what you modified and send that to andreasg for his examination. Bugfixes and such are pretty safe to make to the trunk directly, but when you start to get in to things above and beyond this, it really needs to be branches/kept separate from the trunk and left to andreasg for his call/input.

would it be possible to add an option to show the pet satisfaction state on the pet frame?

Some of the [tags] available expose pet happiness. Please see the wiki for a rough list of these tags, and give it a try. I'm going to try to get working on the wiki and get some more documentation up there. Please let us know if tags don't work, referring to andreasg's message a few posts above this about event registering.

Squid: font sizes are done in the layout files, which is in the layout folder. It should be pretty clear from the code what to change for the size (I also want to try to document this some on the wiki.) Also, the [combo] tag is a watchdog tag, see the wiki for a bit more information on this.

Duoh: I think you are pretty much the only one seeing this. One other person has reported this, and it was due to another addon. Try disabling all other addons - do you still see the problem?

    ****

What I'm going to try to get done today:

Get the [groupnumber] tag put in
Add the option for smooth health bar coloring (it's really easy to expose, the functionality is already there and I've had it in my own local copy for quite some time.)
Need to split the border coloring function a bit, as if you set a border/frame color the garbage churn from doing the SetBackdrop API call is ungodly.
I ****might**** just comment out Rabbit's sticky frame modifications temporarily - there has been a bug report (is anyone else having problems with this??) and something completely new like that should head to a branch (imo, of course.)

    2 suggestions:

    - have option to set buff icons in the upper right corner (growing leftward on two lines) of the unit frames in raid

    - have mouseover tooltip to see remaining time on buff icons.

    1.  Read.  The.  Wiki.  :)

I can't find the wiki. Could you give the link?

First post of this very thread :)

    2.  For the second one, this is just me speaking from my own point-of-view and not in any "official" manner whatsoever, but the additional work to be able to see what everyones time remaining on their individual buffs would be quite a bit, involving the use of the hidden communication channel and the like.  It's probably outside the scope of ag_UF for the moment (not saying it would never happen...)  It's not something trivial to add (unless I'm missing some super-slick way of doing it!)

Actually, I don't think is that hard. I posted the changes needed in the main agUF thread earlier:

    http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=1715.msg47050#msg47050

Basically I used Grimwald's oRA2_Buff from SVN (that module does all the hard work) and added the time left to the buff tooltips in AuraOnEnter (you can search the file for "mist" to see what I added). I don't know if it is the most efficient way to do it, but it works for me and it's a really quick hack.

Yeah, so the only thing I didn't mention in my argument is offloading the work to a separate optional dependency that was doing all the "heavy-lifting." In the mess of posts, I definitely missed your mod! :)

    1. Is there any option to adjust font size in raid frames? Frames with the same layout in MG2 had perfect font size, but in aguf i have good frames size but text inside of them is unable to read :(
    2. Is there possibility to set raid frames to "borders none" and rest of frames (player, target etc.) have with borders.

    1. Font sizes are set in the layout files.
    2. Not at this time.

Is anyone opposed to me adding the [raidgroup] tag to the official code?

I'm also going to be adding a toggle to set whether you want the healthbars to color down to red as they lose life.

Eeeh, I just installed Cygwin with the hope of something being obvious when I ran the program. However this is not the case, I'm now siting here with this CMD and my knowledge with theese kinda things are quite slim. Any chance its an easier way to apply "aguf_split_auras.diff" or if it's any easy way to show what exactly I need todo?

Nev is keeping his branch up to date, just check it out. Instead of using svn.wowace.com/trunks, use svn.wowace.com/branches/ag_UnitFrames/Nevcairiel. You can browse to it at matts-hosting.

I'm using MobHealth3... Previously, Absolute always just displayed percentage alone when the hostile target's health was unknown, then switched to current/max display when MobHealth got some data... Now even when it has data, it shows as: current (percentage)

To the people that want to change this:

Saroz, in revision 11040, modified the string that is shown when MobHealth3 is found and the display is set to absolute to return Current Value (%) instead of Current Value/Max Value.  I'm not sure if he talked to ag or not about the change, but that is the cause of what you are reporting.  If you don't like this and want to have it the old way:

In ag_UnitFrames, do a search for something that would point you to the following part of code:

if not flag and MHfound and not UnitIsFriend("player", unit) then
    		return currValue .." (".. perc .."%)"
    	end

Just comment out each of those lines with "--" in front of each line, no quotes.

can someone tell me which part of .lua code, I need to change to change the color of the frame's background?  right now its transperant black color but I changed my unit frame color to black so its hard to see. I want to change the background to a white color.

    Hey Docta,

If you go to the matts-hosting link, go to branches, then to the agUF section, and in that there will be a folder for Delsphynx. It's a branch I did that has the border stuff in it. It's a few revision older though, so if you use any of the stuff that has been fixed since then that stuff won't be in it, but you are more than welcome to test it (and give me feedback etc.)

The only thing I haven't dug in to yet is why setting the background frame opacity to 1 doesn't result in a completely black background - there is still some transparency. I haven't just had a chance to dig in to why that is yet (and if anyone wants to enlighten me, even better :) )

    posted a message on Detox
I had an odd occurrence last night with Detox in Naxx, and it might be related to the out-of-range message perhaps?

In either case, we were starting in on the Death Knight wing and some of the mobs at the beginning do a thunderclap. I started to detox a couple of them, and at one point it got "hung up" on a hunter - I would keeping hitting my detox key, and it would report "Cleaned Target" while WoW gave me the Target Out of Range message. It would not move beyond this unit however, and that unit wasn't the top unit on the live list (I was). Spam key, "Cleaned Target", Wow error, repeat.

I realize this isn't nearly enough information at this point as I can't tell you what I had targetted at the time and such, but I just wanted to at least get this basic information out there and will continue to test to see what the exact set of circumstances are that seem to be causing it.

Guys, please check the wiki:  http://www.wowace.com/index.php/Ag_UnitFrames

I have all the bordering stuff done per my branch, as described on my user page.  Ag needs to look at it though because it might be a tad "over-the-top" or he might have another way to approach it all together - I added options to change the coloring of the background, the opacity of the background, the coloring of the border, and the opacity of the border.  So, for example, you can use the classic border and change the color from white to say green - it almost gives it a FuBar border kind of effect.  Heck, there may even be more work that is needed or it doesn't address the needs here, as there is still some background to the healthbar itself, which is separate from the frame background...

    In either case, it's a work-in-progress :)
