    A Bug Report/Performance Issue

    I know that optimization and lag and stuff with paging was addressed previously, but I am still noticing some huge performance hits. Not around paging, but when using the bars in a raiding environment. It isn't noticeable in 5-man content, in 10-man it becomes noticeable, and in 25-man it's enough to cause FPS loss and "stuttering." It seems to be tied to players receiving buffs/debuffs and being in combat, as the performance hits are only seen when actually fighting mobs.

    While raiding last night, I had Infinibars running and was noticing the hits. Logging off, disabling Infinibars and re-enabling Bongos (that was the only change) caused the performance to be back to normal/smooth levels.

    I'm not sure if any others are experiencing this (a lack of posts on the subject might indicate I'm unique because the performance is enough to definitely take note) so aside from the standard bar setup, I have my bars set to show when I have a target and am in combat (so they fade out when no target or combat).

    Let me know if you want further detailed information and I will gladly provide it (I realize this initial report is a bit vague at the moment, so let me know what you need).

    Playing with this Sunday I was getting a lot of errors regarding Tattle not being able to be loaded on demand properly when entering arenas. Many, many errors. I got around them be installing Tattle separately, but the populating of the frame is not consistent (it's only picking up some of the people, and then will stop) and will also occasionally throw errors during a match. I'll try to pay more attention to them next time, but during matches I didn't really have time to get them captured.

    I realize this is still early beta and such, so don't take these as complaints as all - just making sure the knowledge of some issues is at least out there though so it can be looked at.

    Okay, thanks for the explanation. I guess I'm just struggling as to why you'd ever want to have a button show information other than what it's relating to. Aside from that, ran into a minor bug I'll detail below:

    I set up a bar with 5 buttons, vertical arrangement. I set it up to use Shift States, dreamlayout and in such a way that only buttons are dragged to the bar under the shift event, i.e. holding down shift shows a bar with buttons in it, releasing shift shows nothing but an empty bar. What I then did was set it up to use an Action state that appeared in the menu automatically: Actionbar1 shift0. In this state, I set the bar to be hidden. What this does is hide the bar completely, when out of combat, until the shift button is pressed. The buttons appear, you can do whatever you need to do, then releasing shift hides the bar completely (again, only out of combat).

    This works until the first time you enter combat. Upon entering combat, it functions as it should - pressing Shift shows nothing. Leaving combat though, pressing Shift will never cause the bar to reappear (it looks like the evaluation of the event state isn't being reset upon leaving combat, or something along those lines.)

    Minor Bug Report:

    I'm noticing that every so often the background bar colors aren't keeping "sync'd" with the actual class that is there. This is typically noticed when people are moved in a raid. For example, a warlock in a spot (class color appears okay) will have the background bar look like that of a priest (just an example, not a specific case statement of failure.) This is running on 1.12.

    I don't have extremely detailed information yet on this, but I just wanted to get the report out there and see if any others can report anything similar. Let me know if there is any debugging you want me to enable, and any sort of test scenarios you need some testing done with.

    Edith told me that there is a problem with the status of dead members, if they are alive again they are shown as dead (just testet in AV, AB), and it would be also nice to see if the person is out of range. And i'm sorry for my stupid questions and requests - hihi. Very nice addon, dropped PRaid for it.


    99 will be the highest. 

    Also, for the health deficit, it will only show if the health threshold is met.  So, if they are above a certain health, it will not show the deficit until they get to that level.  Of course, the threshold can be adjusted as desired from the FuBar plugin.

    Second the range check in a big way!

    Fourths and Fifths are both in the repository, under the Images folder. So, everything looks okay at least from that end.

    Does changing the width of the bar not work? There are options now for that from what I recall.

    Stance changing type bars are a part of the base blizzard ui, so I imagine some accommodation will be made, though it will still likely leave druids out in the cold, with no stealthbar.


    You can't stealth when you are in combat though, so those still may work okay (unless there is some other facet to it I'm missing)

    FILTERING:  READ ME

    For all the people that talk about filtering as it currently stands right now:  ag_UF filtering uses the standard Blizzard filtering (yes, Blizzard's option for what to show on unit frames in a nutshell.)  This filtering is based on the following:

    Only show buffs on unit frames that you can actually cast on others.  Blizzard's intention with this is to show, for example, a group that needs AI (because it is something you cast on others) or PW:Fort, etc.  This is why it doesn't show things like Ice Block, or Inner Fire, or things of that nature.  You can't cast those on other units, therefore they aren't shown.  

    I'll get this issue put on to the wiki site as well, but I know the discussion has come up some in both of the ag_UF threads so here is an explanation for the moment.  There are some modifications floating around the threads for setting what to show or not show, so you'd have to refer to those for now.  I know andreasg has plans for doing some major work on buffs/debuffs so perhaps the issue will get taken care of when that work goes "live."  

    Hope this helps some (and that my explanation was accurate enough!) :)
