Though I'm not a big fan of the Waterfall menu framework, I can accept that it does have benefits over the mouseover/dropdown system of old.
I think a lot of complaints can be solved by changing a little functionality in the waterfall system.
Right now, to me, the biggest annoyance is the fact that I have to click a tiny (+) icon for every branch I want to drill down into. I think that it would be a huge benefit to the naysayers if the Waterfall framework was changed such that on clicking a heading, it will auto expand it's child topics. Conversely, it should also collapse on clicking the same heading again.
It honestly isn't very intuitive to be forced to click a (+) button to expand the list. I never used any Waterfall config extensively before for this reason. Having it expand on clicking the heading would make drilling down into settings much faster.

Sep 17, 2007Is there an API call that can pull down the raidID's of guild members to determine what raid gorup they are in?Posted in: Addon Ideas
We run two kara groups and it's a fair amount of work to keep tabs on who is in what group each night.
I'd like to see something where it would keep a running tab for officers of what raids the guild is locked into, and see what members are in each raidID.
RAIDID: 12345678 Karazhan
RAIDID: 987543121 Karazhan
RAIDID: 20923481 Gruul's Lair
Maybe even have a section for "Unlocked" people that we can see who is not locked into any raid ID, or the raidID of that particular dropdown.
Jul 31, 2007I'm having isues with the outfit() rule and itemrack2.Posted in: General AddOns
When I initialy create the rule it was able to correctly move things around in my bag as appropriate. Upon updating the itemset in itemrack2, the item may or may not be placed appropriately.
As I have gotten a few new items to replace healing gearset, AI is not placing the items appropriately. Items that are confirmed defined in Itemrack2 as part of the healing set are still placed in the default category, and the item that was replaced still goes into it's old category (healing). For some reason, I do not have this issue with the set called "tanking." An item I updated now shows up in that category and the old item has moved to the general bag.

How do you do this? No amount of clicking on the -/+ does anything. I just created a new profile and now find myself unable to enable any of the rules.
mark the rule, click edit, check the checkbox ENABLE.
I'd like to see a way that you can click the +/- to toggle a rule. I have dozens of rules that I create for all my alts and a lot of them would overlap. The rule search is already a great tool for setting up alts and it'd be a lot better if we had fast ways of activating rules.
Jul 11, 2007Which boss? If it was Murmur, ranged DPS has no threat issues during that fight.Posted in: Raid AddOns
Also, this note should be discussed in the Threat-Lib thread

Threat-1.0: Removed "Judgment of Blood" - NPC spell?
This is a blood elf paladin spell. It does 295-325 Holy damage at the cost of health equal to 33% of the damage caused, affected by spell power.
The alliance version of this spell is Judgment of Vengeance, 120 holy damage per application of Seal of Vengeance on the target.
Jul 6, 2007I don't know if DrDamage can recognize if a mob has been poisoned, but both Envenom and Mutilate rely on the fact that the mob is poisoned. The current calculations do not account for this information.Posted in: General AddOns
Envenom is based on stacks of deadly poison on the mob, not unnecessarily combo points available. The amount of combo points to consider is the lesser of deadly poison stacks vs combo points.
Mutilate gains 50% damage on any type of poison on the target, which also applies to the multiplier. I also assume that you are applying an offhand penalty on the modifier for dual weapon attack where it does not apply for mutilate. (Weapon Damage*.5 + modifier) The offhand mutilate damage is not reduced, and can actually be boosted with dual wield spec (151 modifier damage on offhand).
Thanks again for all the work you've done. I LOVE DrDamage combined with my paladin and bigwigs. It makes healing so much easier. hopefully we'll get all the melee modules working properly soon. I have no clue as to how accurate the warrior modules are, but I'll take a look at the paladin module for ya.
Jun 24, 2007It seems that at some point, items that have had bids on them have their prices greyed while items that don't are fully bright.Posted in: General AddOns
I thought it was the other way around actualy, but maybe that was a different mod. Is there a way to change it so that items with bids have their bid price bright?
Jun 21, 2007Suggestion!Posted in: General AddOns
I would love if there was a way to assign RB to fill in gem stats for an item for you.
I want to compare two items, one with sockets and one without. The problem is that I have to manually compute the stats I would gain from the gems and see if it would be more or less than the item without sockets.
I would like for it to say "If red socket, use X gem" or "Use +12 stam stat".
Jun 7, 2007I was looking at the Gear Tree, and it only has one branch. "Socketed" Obviously there should be a non-socketed branch.Posted in: Libraries
Also, is there a way to make PT3Browser a windowed mod? It would make searching for an item's category easier since you would have the search field up statically and not have to keep it in focus to type in it.
Jun 7, 2007I just had a question on the Syntax...but though trial and error I figured it out.Posted in: General AddOns
First Step to using it, go download PT3Browser. This is a mod that allows you to browse the PT3 database and figgure out the naming conventions and such.
To add a PT category, type it out exactly as you see in the browser. You'll have to remember/write it down b/c you can look at the browser and type it in the AI field at the same time.
For example, I added the category:
I then assigned it to a bar and all my Tier05 stuff went right into it. Note that AI automaticaly handles the tokenization so be sure to type it in exactly as it is in PT3, including the space.
For your food example, the command would be...
Which will isolate all food that has buffs asociated with eating it.
Another useful one for casters would be
Which will isolate food that has both buffs.
Using PT3Browser, you can see what items are located in the tree. You can use the search tool to find where in the tree you item is. I'm not sure if there is a wildcard lookup for names. PT3Browser needs it's own window, and not just a tooltip popup on fubar....sigh.
Please Add this info to the wiki (but maybe without my little rant on out crappy ass PT3Browser is from a use standpoint).
Jun 7, 2007Is there a way you can put an example of PT3 custom category Syntax in the wiki? I was trying to figure it out so I could sort my endless sets of gear in my bank and it'd be nice to be "tier one bag" "tier two bag" without having to create custom categories.Posted in: General AddOns
I also might find use of it for sorting other items.
May 20, 2007I'd like a way to align frames to each other. It's a little hard to eyeball align things on screen.Posted in: Unit Frames
Perhaps set up a new menu item for the frame such that it goes "Align-to"-> <Name of Frame groups available such as Player, Target> -> Top/Left/Right/Bottom
