Note that WoWEquip does not, intentionally, include your base stats (as these depend on race, class, and level and compiling a complete database of each combination's base stats would be an enormous undertaking)
Umm, why? We don't need an option to change our race or level to see what we our stats would be as a level 1 gnome shaman in T6 and sunwell pally gear, we're just seeing how a gear change would affect our current stats for our current race and class. Since you DO track what the change is, why not instead of displaying the "gear only" contribution, just pull the number for that stat conveniently pre-calculated for you on the character page and just apply the change to that, displaying that number.
Tooltip just shows what windfury does when it procs, the average total calculation doesn't take it into account as proccing always. Flametongue is something I haven't bothered with. Perhaps at some point.
FT would be nice with the changes to Mental Quickness, since it scales with AP now (and has always scaled with haste, where WF doesn't as well due to the CD)
On my shamman I've noticed for the attack tooltip and calculations, it does take into account winfury as if it proced all the time, and doesn't take flametongue into account at all.
Can anything be done about the horendus chat lag this causes? I realize that having to parse every line that comes in will cause a good bit of lag but if I'm talking to someone in /say I see what they say over their head several seconds before I see it in the chat log.
Might I recommend a dynamic white list? May cause more lag for unwhite listed but a larger improvement over all. Actions that would add people to the white list:
Anybody on friends list (only check for one's online)
Guild mates (again only those online)
Anybody you've /replied to in whisper (periodic online check like WIM?)
Last 20-50 (or maybe to keep things from getting out of hand, 100 - # of people in above lists, or 20, whichever is greater) people who have spoken in any monitored chat channel with at least 3 messages that weren't marked as spam.
For the last one maybe do a time sorted list, anytime they say something they get moved back to the front of the list, that way active talkers stay on list. The last two items would reset each time you log on.
Even if you had to check each incoming name against 100 avatars that has to be exponentially less taxing than doing numerous regexp checks on everything they say, esp as you have to add more and more things to check for.
thats an auctioneer issue, it forcibly resets the tooltip anchor to something it thinks is good. disable auctioneer and then mouseover a bag, the tooltip will go *underneath* which is where i coded it to go a lot of versions ago. you basically have to live with it because i cant do anything to stop it.
You can't disable tooltips on just the bag slots? (I'm asking cause I don't know how it works). What I do now is just disable all AI tooltips when I need to move stuff around, would be nice to just have inventory slot tips always on, and the bag slot tips always off...
Another minor issue is mining bags don't have their own highlight color like other profession bags.
completely? as is no tooltips? or just the stuff i add (which can already be disabled)
Completely, as in "no longer hides half the bag when trying to figure out what items are in which bag to move stuff around to empty a bag" XD
Using AI with auctioneer (another fairly popular addon you may have heard of :P) causes huge tooltips on bags listing prices and such, which regardless of where you put it on the screen causes covers half the AI window when trying to locate the highlighted green items.
Badboy doesn't seem to handle multiple/fast spam so well... Had like 3 gold spammers spamming almost the same thing two times each within a few seconds of each other in say, BB only reported 2 of them and 4 of the 6 lines got thru (or I'm assuming there were 6 lines and that the 2 reports were two additional lines). I can't seem to find the actual incident in my chat logs to post exactly what happened...
I use http://quaichewiki.pbwiki.com/PowerShellAddonUpdater automatically set to run every night at midnight, tho I've been manually running it repeatedly since 2.4.2 every time I start up WoW, so the version I'm running is whatever files.wowace.com/BadBoy/BadBoy.zip points to.
Looks like you need to make a mailbox version of this, seems mail spam is the latest craze, even including 1c in the mail so it requests permission before deleting.
Any chance of RB getting DrDamage as an optional dependancy and feeding the change in stats to DD and display what the change in DPS would be for that item?
Alright. I've altered the functionality in the latest version so that DrDamage will use the manually set option if nothing is targeted.
Yay! Hope this doesn't mess up too many others :P
In another, much harder to implement request, how about the ability to specify a default spell or ability in the config, which when set would show up on the tool tip when examining an item to show the delta DPS for that ability without having to actually equip or even own the item in question. No need to show what happens to each individual stat, other mods like ratings buster do that just fine, just how the agregate of all those stats will actually affect you.
Major lubs for this addon, only one small suggestion that would make it a smidge bit better :P
When using the +hit calculations, you have only 2 options: use target level or use manual level adjust.
Could you make either a third option or change the default way that the "use target level" option works? Namely "use target level, unless you don't have a target, then use manual level adjust". That way we can default to normal "boss level" when theory crafting by just selecting nothing, or see what our stats are against a equal level target by just selecting ourselves.

KISS (no offense :P)
