While it is a technical possibility that the service could be rewritten to allow anonymous sessions, as it stands it does not.
I apologize if you feel that the decision made was a poor one, it was made, and as it stand we'll have to live with it for the foreseeable future. :(
thankyou for saying that Kael, and tbh i probably wont be using the curseclient but ive got a feeling you will see more post like the one i made (why do i have to login to update my mods).
um... if i wanted to download a mod from curse/curseforge or what ever its called these days i do not need to be logged in i can just download any mod i want anonymously so why should i have to log in to use the curse updater i mean WAU and wowmatrix dont require people to login to anything to use them.
I understand that the login could be used for premium users but for those of us who choose not to go premium shouldn't have to login, and with all those corporate sponsors curse shouldnt require anyone to upgrade to premium.
tbh if your load times are 5 minutes then you might want to upgrade your computer i myself am using 77 mods (thats not including their libraries or additional plugins for them ie Titan and DBM or the blizzard "mods"), and my load times only varied (yes i did test with both embedded and non-embedded) by about 30secs if that.
well tbh i only goto curse/curseforge or what ever its called these days for 2 more RuneHero (for the beta) and Examiner thats it all other i can get form wowui or wowace.
with Patch 3.0 just around the corner id have thought that there would have been a beta test for Omen3 by now but apparently not, might wanna get a move on chaps.
well for anyone that is in the beta (like me) and is wanting a threat meter look no further ZThreatMeter, uses the ingame Threat meter and just make its moveable and a little bit customizable, its still new yet but i think if they author keeps at it Omen might become yesterday's news.
