I really want to get rid of the other health bar that seems to be a remnant from default WoW tooltip. How do I do it?

Is this the green bar at the bottom of the tooltip? If so, I've been dying to know how to get rid of that too. I keep going back to TinyTip because that green bar at the bottom annoys me so much. :(

I've seen screenshots without it. What does one need to do to remove it?

Alright, mystery solved. The problem came down to being only knowing a higher level poison without knowing the lower levels first. In my case, I only knew the top most levels of Wound and Mind-Numbing Poison as I didn't bother to train the lower ranks.

I went to the trainer and trained all ranks of all poisons and wallah. Everything shows up as it should now.

No ideas for this one? I still can't get Mind-Numbing or Wound Poison to show up when I talk to the poison vendor.

Well, I went and deleted moved my AddOns folder out of the way, created a new empty AddOns folder, and downloaded Hemlock. I also deleted my Hemlock.lua file from the SavedVariables folder to start fresh.

With only this, I still get no Mind-Numbing or Wound Poison showing up. So it's not conflicting with any AddOns for sure. I don't know what else to do.

Does anyone else have these Poisons showing up??? It can't just be me having this problem.

Sadly, I uninstalled Hemlock for the time being and downloaded BuyPoisons off Curse.com. It sucks not being able to use an Ace mod for this, but BuyPoisons works at least. :/

posted a message on Quartz: Modular Casting Bar
I've been using Quartz for some time, but the past couple of days I've noticed some target cast bars getting missed by Quartz? I saw it happen several times on Tuesday and turned on the target cast bar in Pitbull for a comparison yesterday and saw it happen again (i.e. the target was showing a spell being cast in Pitbull but it didn't appear with Quartz).

It seems very rare that this happens and there is nothing that I can do to force it to reproduce the behavior. Has anyone else seen this? Or know why it might be happening?

For the time being, I'll be running Antagonist + NECB alongside Quartz to see if the other two cast bar mods pick things up over Quartz.

Hmmm. I'm having a weird problem where Mind-Numbing poison isn't showing up for me. I'm certain that it was before, but it doesn't seem to be working anymore. I tried clearing out my cache and deleting my saved preferences to no avail. Any ideas?

EDIT: Wound poison also does not show up as it should. All the other poisons work. I can enable/disable them and they appear/disappear. But those two don't show up no matter what I do. Scanning for poisons doesn't help.

Thanks for the response. I was ready to make my changes yesterday when I read the patch notes about some sound fixes. It looks like the problem with this mod was fixed in 2.2.3? ComboSounds is now working for me again without having to make those changes.

Does anyone still use or maintain this? It appears to have broken in the 2.2 patch. :/

Somewhat of a feature request. When I use recount in conjunction with the addon "aperture", the transparency doesn't show all black. Instead, it shows a lighter color than the "background".

I posted some screenshots with aperture and without. Without, you can see both my chat window and recount's transparency. With aperture, you'll see that the chat window displays a fully black transparency window (as there is a pure black box behind it), but that recount is a significantly lighter shade.

It's not a huge deal, obviously. It's just an eye sore more than anything else and it makes me not want to use aperture. :)

EDIT: It's much more visible in game. I'm not sure why my screenshots came out so dark. But I think you can see what I'm talking about.

I used it for a while several years ago - i dont recall why i stopped. I think it was too slow or didnt support something i needed for work.

It's gotten quite good these past couple of years. Hopefully, you'll be pleasantly surprised. Tabbed browsing was the biggest sell for me way back when (although IE7 does have that now).

Addons for Firefox are the slam dunk for me - AdBlock Plus (no offense :) ), Forecast Fox, Fasterfox, foxyproxy, etc.

    It's possible.

Just make two groups. One that has a filter for max maxtime (?) for the shorter buffs and the other for a min maxtime to get the longer buffs.

I haven't done it that way before, but see no reason why it wouldn't work.

This is the last open source project for me. Not only do i not recieve any income from this, many of the end-users are not even appreciative.

Take for example the people who compile out the ad and talk about posting it. That's not what open source was supposed to be. It was so you could take the code and make an updater for your own site, not hurt ours. Frankly - I have had enough.

    syl,

Not all of us are not appreciative. You've got to understand too that people generally only come to voice dissatisfaction and don't bother with giving praise when things are working well. I mean, how many times have you bothered to call the power company to thank them every time you flip on a light switch and the lights come on? I'm sure there are lots of users out there who are appreciative (myself included).

IMO, I think the spirit of the open source community is for developers to share code so that others can build upon it and make improvements to it to better the application. Which is sort of why I had a hard time with the ads because putting in ads seems contrary to this spirit (i.e. I think having ads *in* the application makes it worse instead of better)? But that's just my view of the open source, so others views may differ.

Of all the bickering, I think the best suggestions thus far have been:

    1. Add premium support. Take donations and give donaters some kind of "premium" service. This could be faster, ad-free access. Or possibly something as simple as a special forum title.

    2. Consider working with other sites to mirror the repository. Yeah, you lose control of having one realtime site, but all your bandwidth problems go out the door along with it.

    3. Create a separate branch or repository for production ready addons. Or even to distinguish between beta and alpha releases, etc. I don't know how this would work in practice since many of the updates that I see are for locale updates. But I could see a lot of bandwidth being wasted by people updating unnecessarily.

Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I'd be pretty annoyed about all the crying from people who whine about the ads and threaten to leave (but probably still use your app - have you seen a decline in usage? I'm guessing not). So I certainly understand where you're coming from. But for the others trying to offer suggestions, I hope they're still being considered. All that we've seen from a user's point of view is the addition of ads into the app, a lot of forum talk discussing it, but nothing really changing from the user's perspective. Hence, the ongoing discussion.

Anyway, I hope you guys can find a happy balance somewhere. *I* appreciate the work that you've put into this. And I continue to use the app, even in its ad plagued form.
