Is there any chance we could get an option to use the default font, like it was before? I liked the one I use through Clearfont.

The font mechanism isn't going to change - I'm going to stick with SharedMediaLib providing a list of fonts.

What can be done (separate to this addon) is add to SharedMedia font library, or for ClearFont to register the fonts it uses with SharedMedia so that they become available to all Ace2 addons.

So in summary, I do want more font options - and I thought about this when I coded it. But its up to other Ace2 addons that use separate fonts to play nicely in the Ace2 ecosystem and make them available to everyone else.

Ok, I made my own little addon that registers my font with SharedMedia. The problem is, even though it shows up in the list, it doesn't show up until after a reloadui and I can't change the size or shadow or anything like that. Any ideas?

Would it be possible to have a pop-up when you join/leave a raid or change to certain zones asking if you want to reload the UI with a new addon set? It's not perfect, but that would make it easier to switch between sets.

First off, I'd like to say that PItbull is looking fantastic, and it's ridiculous how fast you guys are putting it together.

One thing that I think would be really useful would be the option to have the cast bar appear in the same place as the mana bar, either by hiding the mana bar completely when the cast bar appears or at least all the text on the mana bar.

Connall, any chance of getting something like that for herbalism? Better yet, if someone could turn that into an addon that you just load once and it converts everything, that would be awesome.

probably you won't need to implement such a function at all. i found this: http://www.wowace.com/forums/index.php?topic=3018.0

The buttons will be created on-demand, so they won't exist immediately after login. Only as you gather buffs they will be created. Addons that modify every button on startup and then leave the buttons alone will not work with that system, so they will need to know when a button is created and modify it then.

hmm... i assume you're talking about the next version of buffalo?

Alrighty, I got debuffs and weapon buffs working. Your debuffs won't be colored though, they'll just all be red.

Also, still works without Buffalo, for all three kinds.

Ok, I have something that works. But a couple disclaimers:

    1) I know basically nothing about lua. I don't even know why I had to set this up as an ace addon for it to work.

    2) There are no fancy "options", if you want to change the alpha or the padding, look in the code. If I can figure it out, you can too.

    3) It doesn't touch debuffs or weapon buffs; you want to try and figure out how to deal with those, let me know how that turns out :S

On the plus side, this works without buffalo installed, too. Since I originally wrote it for the default buff frames, I just stuck that part in there with an if to decide which to use >.>

Cartographer is my replacement for AlphaMap/MetaMap/etc.

It is modular and very efficient.

That piece of code only works for the default buff frames; since I believe Buffalo creates it's own, my code doesn't work. That's why I'm posting here, to see if something with the same effect can be added to Buffalo :)

I just stumbled upon this thread, I don't play a mage, but I did something for the mages in my guild a while ago. It's only for the fire vulnerability debuff, no ignite. Basically it creates a bar that shows the number of stacks and time left, and it refreshes the timer with each Scorch (checks for resists too).

It also syncs with other mages in raid, though is not smart enough to know who has 3/3 Imp. Scorch, so only fire mages should have it enabled. There's an option to see the casting bars of the other mages in raid, but only when they cast Scorch.

It doesn't distinguish between targets when they have same name, since it was made for bosses, though it probably works fine in many cases.

I don't use it myself, since I don't play a mage, but mages in my guild have used it for the last 2 months or so, and I didn't hear complaints back, so I guess it works. :)

If you wanna give it a try, you can grab it here. I mainly robbed things from here and there, it was my first attempt to make an addon. I don't plan to add anything to it, but if someone wants to take the code and use it or add to it, feel free to do that.

I haven't actually gotten to try this yet, but it sounds like it would be perfect if someone could add ignite support to it :o

Also, it could use a better name ;P

A while ago I wrote this little piece of code to make my buffs (I never got it to work for debuffs/weapon buffs) look kinda like the BT2 Dreamlayout, since i don't really like the default border look.  Any chance you could add this as an option for Buffalo somehow?

    	for i=0,15 do
    		_G["BFLayout"..i] = CreateFrame("Frame", nil)
    		_G["BFLayout"..i]:SetBackdrop({bgFile = "Interface\\Tooltips\\UI-Tooltip-Background", tile = true, tileSize = 1, edgeFile = "", edgeSize = 0, insets = {left = 0, right = 0, top = 0, bottom = 0},})
    		_G["BFLayout"..i]:SetBackdropColor(0,0,0,.6)
    		_G["BFLayout"..i]:SetBackdropBorderColor(0.5, 0.5, 0, 0)
    		_G["BFLayout"..i]:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", "BuffButton"..i, "TOPLEFT", 0, 0)
    		_G["BFLayout"..i]:SetPoint("BOTTOMRIGHT", "BuffButton"..i, "BOTTOMRIGHT", 0, 0)
    		_G["BFLayout"..i]:SetParent("BuffButton"..i)
    		_G["BFLayout"..i]:SetFrameLevel(1)

    		_G["BuffButton"..i.."Icon"]:SetTexCoord(0.07, 0.93, 0.07, 0.93)
    		_G["BuffButton"..i.."Icon"]:ClearAllPoints()
    		_G["BuffButton"..i.."Icon"]:SetPoint("TOPLEFT", "BFLayout"..i, "TOPLEFT", 2, -3)
    		_G["BuffButton"..i.."Icon"]:SetPoint("BOTTOMRIGHT", "BFLayout"..i, "BOTTOMRIGHT", -3, 2)
    	end

I'd include a screenshot, but my server is down until tomorrow >.<
