You cannot change the range from which nameplates are visible.
Showing the target in nameplates is impossible as well, as there is no information available on tot if you or one of your party don't mouseover the mobs.

Ah, silly me. I've read the post, but it seems I didn't really put much thought in it. If I correctly understand the quote and Aloft doesn't have access to UnitIDs, my request for Threatbars for different mobs is obsolete as well, isn't it?
May 20, 2008Threatbar and configurable DogTag 3.0-fieldsPosted in: General AddOns
I loved the possibility of Aloft/Threat1.0 to display threatbars next to the healthbars of mobs, so you could just glance at the bars and see where you're going to lose aggro. Threat 2.0 could have further enhance this possibility, but it was deactivated in Aloft/Threat2.0 instead. Once Aloft gets some attention again, I would appreciate it if this option had a comeback once more.
Another request, and not the first on the subject: an additional field, open for configuration through Dogtags 3.0 would be terrific. I'd like to add a text below Mob-healthbars showing the state of crowdcontrol.
