    So I'm not going to lie, I haven't read through the last 15 or so pages of this thread but I am fairly familiar with the addon. I have a question regarding FCSZ point distribution though. My guild uses a Onspec/Offspec pricing. I didn't readily notice a easy way to do this, does anyone have any suggestions or at least a point in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance.

    Unless someone else has released an altered version of FCZS to allow for multiple fixed-costs per item (no one has that I know of), you're going to have to make custom versions of the FCZS modules so that you can specify 2 (or more, if you want to go more general) item costs per item and to present bidders with the choice of which type of bid to place when they're placing one.

    Hello.

    IS there an easy way to add serveral members with a certain amount of points to the database?
    My guild considers switching to DKPMon + Bidder but we want to keep our current DKP records.
    The problem is that I want to add ~70 members with differt dkp values to the database.

    The addon DKPmon_CSV was written precisely for this; it's available through wowace.com. It allows you to import a database, written in a special format, into DKPmon.

    (Re-)reporting a bug: deleting logs one by one doesn't work. Deleting all works fine though.

    Caused by a typo on line 60 in DKPmon/Logging/log.lua,
    StaticPopupDialogs["DKPMON_CONFIRM_DELETELOG"].func =

    Should be this I believe:
    StaticPopupDialogs["DKPMON_CONFIRM_DELETELOG"].OnAccept =

    Thanks. Fix is committed to the svn.

    guess this supports your theory then:

    http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/5831/dkpimport2eg4.jpg

    Any suggestions on workarounds?

    Dangit, I hate when I'm right. My only suggestion is to do the CSV-import, /logout, then manually edit your DKPmon SavedVariables file to add the "\195\150" character back to the beginning of his name.

    Also, since you have an active WoW account (I don't), can you post a bug report to the WoW forums? I'd probably post in in the bugs forum, and do a cross post to the UI forum (that links to the bug report). The post to the UI forum might elicit some suggestions on a within-Lua workaround that we can add to the DKPmon_CSV addon.

    He's listed as "tto".

    I've a theory, if you want to test it -- namely that for some reason WoW no longer knows how to upper-case accented characters.

    If you look at lines 100 & 101 of DKPmon_CSV/importmod.lua you'll see this:

    local name, class, level, race = parse[1], parse[2], tonumber(parse[3]), parse[4]
    name = string.upper(string.sub(name, 1, 1))..string.lower(string.sub(name, 2))

    Change that to:

    local name, class, level, race = parse[1], parse[2], tonumber(parse[3]), parse[4]
    DKPmon:Print("Pre-upper -- name = " .. name)
    name = string.upper(string.sub(name, 1, 1))..string.lower(string.sub(name, 2))
    DKPmon:Print("Post-upper -- name = "..name)

    My theory is that, for some reason, that first "string.upper()" call is returning "" for an accented character; which would be a bug in WoW....

    Well, I'm stumped:

    http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/2452/dkpimportbu0.jpg

    I've tried with other characters than 195.150 too, and they don't work either...

    That makes no sense to me either... Clearly the string is being read correctly by the lua parser. If you look at your saved variables file for DKPmon is that Otto fella listed in there as "tto" or "\195\150tto" ?

    Hi, sorry to open up such an old case again, but I'm having a problem with this. It's worked fine before, where I've had to swap out a character here and there, but now we have a new guy in the guild - whose name starts with ?. Apparently, the import skips this character (195.150 from the tabel you linked to) entirely when doing the import. This is what the line looks like in importdata.lua:

     "\195\150tto:DRUID:70:Tauren:2.754:-203.277:96.846",

    Any idea what's causing it to skip here? I've verified that it works fine if it's not the first character in the name...

    I can't think of any reason why it would have trouble with that character at all... Something you can check, though, is to add the line
    DKPmon:Print(str)
    at line 98 of DKPmon_CSV/importmod.lua. Then make sure that the string being printed is the same as what you're expecting -- it's theoretically possible that the lua compiler in WoW is converting that particular escape sequence into something weird and unexpected..

    Still having the problem with syncing with a blank database. It seems to be originating from "PointsDB\syncing.lua" sending a nil value to DKPmon:rgbToHex() as soon as you click the accept button.

    DKPmon-2.3.0\utils.lua:58: attempt to index local 'rgb' (a nil value)
    (tail call): ?:
    DKPmon-2.3.0\utils.lua:90: in function `StringToCharInfo'
    DKPmon-2.3.0\PointsDB\syncing.lua:79: in function `UpdatePlayerDBFromString'
    DKPmon-2.3.0\PointsDB\syncing.lua:145: in function `ParseBCastStr'
    DKPmon-2.3.0\PointsDB\syncing.lua:198: in function `ProcessBroadcast'
    DKPmon-2.3.0\Dialogs\dialogs.lua:90: in function `OnAccept'
    Interface\FrameXML\StaticPopup.lua:2691: in function `StaticPopup_OnClick':
    <string>:"*:OnClick":1: in function <[string "*:OnClick"]:1>

    If you're still getting this, can you change your local copy of DKPmon:StringToCharInfo() in utils.lua to:
    function DKPmon:StringToCharInfo(str)
    local name, class, level, race = strsplit("|", str)
    DKPmon:Print("str = " .. string.gsub(str, "|", "-"))
    return {
    name = name, class = class, level = tonumber(level), race = race,
    classhex = self:getClassHex(class) --, guild = guild,
    }
    end

    And let me know what it's printing just before the error? I haven't had an active account since January, so I can't run any tests myself.

    Got an error when trying to sync a blank database. It was a nil error on line 58 in utils.lua.

    While syncing? That... uhm... doesn't compute. That code-line isn't in the execution path of anything that's run during a sync operation. My guess would be that you've got an addon, somewhere, that's somehow messing up the stock DKPmon code (like replacing a function, hooking into one in a bad way, etc).

    So just checking before I am getting myself into something I know nothing about ... I havent wrote a single piece of LUA so far so would know where to begin .. but!

    Is there a module for

    - On time DKP
    - Time based DKP points
    - Boss kill DKP points
    - Fixed DKP prices

    Boss Auction comes close but I only seen open and silent bid engine? Or do I miss something? We don't have a bidding system we have fixed prices and the highest DKP just wins.

    Does this mean I have to combine the Fixed prices module with the Boss Auction? and how fragile is this? Can I just copy & paste stuff without breaking too much?

    As far as I know, there isn't a module for that system; so, you'll probably have to modify BossAuction, or write your own. As for the best plan of attack for modifying BossAuction... you'll have to ask Javek.

    Hmm, well I'm glad to have found a bug then. :) Any idea when you'll get a chance to fix this? No rush, I can just remove the check until then.

    Already fixed. ;-)

    Very slick!

    If you don't already have it, I'd suggest some sort of CSV-import so that people can start a non-zeroed database without having to have logs from DKPmon or some such.

    Yeah, there's something in my check that's not right. Removing the test gave me the menu item. I tried setting it as you said too, but the value is still always nil. The reason I was testing on bidstate directly was because that's the argument passed to the :AddDistributionActionOptions method.

    Bah, I'm most likely doing something wrong somewhere. Oh well. Thanks for the help.

    Thanks for pointing out that bidstate thing; you actually uncovered a minor bug. The routine in the lootframe that calls :AddDistributionActionOptions() wasn't actually passing the bidstate.

    im looking for some help to change announcements of winners to the raid.

    currently we are using bossauction and our winners are based off the 2nd highest bid +1 pt. id like to adjust the code to pick the 2nd highest bid, add 1 pt and then announce. Some tips maybe for what part of the lua to look in and what section of code to edit?

    what if 3 matching tokens dropped off 1 boss? would i be able to have it pick 3rd highest +1?

    if this is too complicated i can jsut keep using manual look at the winner list and announce via vent :D

    thx for any input

    That would depend on how the BossAuction module is structured. You might want to try cross-posting in the BossAuction thread in this same forum; Javek's more likely to see it there, I'd wager.

    if bidstate == 2 then
      dewOptions.args.spam = {
       type = 'execute',
       name = L["Spam list"],
       desc = L["Spams the list of bidders to raid chat."],
       func = function() ** to do** end
      }
    end

    It sounds like you have the right of it; your module can add things to the button-press menu with its :AddDistributionActionOptions method.

    I'm not sure exactly how your code looks but, there's something that pops out to me from the snip-it that you have included. Specifically, the "bidstate" is a member variable of DKPmon.LootFrame not of your module, so a test for "if bidstate == 2 then" in your module will never be true (bidstate will always be nil). You probably want "if DKPmon.LootFrame:GetBidState() == 2 then"

    If that's not the fix, then I'd suggest removing the bidstate test entirely, for testing purposes, just to see if your menu item gets added at all; if it doesn't, then there might be a problem with your dewdrop construction. <shrug>
