Thank you for the mod! It's very comfortable to use and does what it is supposed to do.
The new appearance of the bars (since r71406) is nice so far with the little (optional) black border. What I do not like is the "pairing" of the bars. There are alway 2 bars put together without a spacing between them which irritates me a bit because it makes no sense - the pairs have nothing to do with each other. If I overlooked a sense: my fault! ^^ But I really didn't get it if there's a reason.
With equal spacing between all bars it would be perfect! Thanks in advance. :)
As an opener: Chatter is getting better and better! Good work and thank you, Antiarc.
But I have a few suggestions:
Regarding the player names I would like to see a format like "<LEVEL:NAME:GROUP>". I think the level before the name is more consistent with the display of most unit frame addons out there. The groupnumber in a raid after the name is feature I know and like from Prat.
I also would like to see the offset of the ChatTabs definable per ChatFrame. At the moment there seems to be a bug at Blizzards end displaying the "Combat Log"-tab a tad bit higher than all other tabs - it is obviously a cosmetic thing but it would be nice to get rid of - but only if it isn't to much work/overhead. ^^
Last thing that I would like to see added is that the ChatFrame-highlighting can be deactivated completely. The mouseover-and-the-tabs-appear thingy when also the whole ChatFrame is highlighted I mean. Tabs should still appear (or not as the previous poster already suggested) but the frame is something I do not need with an eePanel behind the ChatFrame.
/EDIT: At the moment it seems that the background color in the rightclick-menu of a ChatTab is setting the highlight-color of the frame on mouseover (if that helps).
That's it for now, aside these ideas I have nothing more to say than "Thanks again!". ;)
HA abandoned before it even started LOL, this addon did have potential best we can do is hope some1 takes it over, shame on you Kameril...
Quite a rude comment for a simple consumer with no contribution to the project. Projects sometime are going to hell because of ungrateful people like you. Support the authors if you can or at least be grateful for their time invested into your comfort for free!
*shake-head* Comments like this... what are some people thinking!?
Sorry to resurrect this but I have found a solution (at least for me) since this recently bugged me, too.
This thread was brought up by the search for me so I think it is a good point to put a solution.
Search for this line in the "Dewdrop-2.0.lua"
button.textHeight = info.textHeight or UIDROPDOWNMENU_DEFAULT_TEXT_HEIGHT or 10
and change it to
button.textHeight = x
where x is the font size. In my case I used 13 and it fits perfectly for my UI.
Hope this helps a few lost souls out there like I have been one regarding this problem.
Of course you have to do it everytime you update the Dewdrop Library from WowAce.
Side effect(s): I haven't come across one so far, but cannot guarantee anything.
I have no real clue about coding so I just fiddle around with existing code. ^^
Sometimes it works and sometimes... well nevermind! :D
Sorry if it has been discussed before but a search didn't get me any useful results.
My question is:
is there a way to get CowTip to modify the "tooltips" and the context menu of FuBar?
I know these are connected to the libraries Tablet & Dewdrop (correct me if I am wrong)
but at the moment they look plain ugly compared to the normal tooltips of my UI for units,
items, etc... I just want the appearance of the "tooltips" and the context menu to be the
same as the normal tooltips. What I mean is: background, font and border.
If someone has an idea or a solution through a different approach than CowTip: tell me! :)
First: EBB is a great way to display buffs & debuffs, superb work! :)
But I wonder if it is possible to have the icons displayed in a
"DreamLayout"-fashion. The look you can find in Bartender3 for example
where an icon has a semi-transparent black border and the icon itself
is slightly zoomed in. It would shine especially with thick bars
and (because of that) large icons.
It is nothing important but I use the look where possible in my UI
because I really like it. ;) So it would be great for EBB! ^^
I have no coding experience, therefor a simple "nope, won't come"
would be sufficient if is too much work to implement it. *g*
By all means, if the ads are a solution for the growing bills:
go on and implement banners and the likes.
But I have one wish:
Please let the WAU remember its window-settings. It is REALLY annoying
to resize the window (although I maximized it last time) and the
portions for the log-part, the addon list and now the ad.
Many thanks, ckknight! :)
Will do so next monday when it is Karazhan-time and
post possible hickups or if it's working flawless. ;)
EDIT:
So far it works like a charm. Did a few quick tests with some guildies.
As already said the real test takes place at monday. /tar ckknight /cheer
Well, I have no clue about coding and therefor cannot demand anything
but I think many people using PitBull would really like to have ALL
their unit frames displayed in one way: through PitBull. :)
So if it's really that easy to be done (reads like that to me ^^)
then I would really appreciate it, ckknight. The way it is now the
MT feature is more or less useless for the raiding crowd imho.
Anyway, as said before: thanks for the addon in its current state.
It is really great already, but more "compatible" (to oRA2/CTraid,
at least oRA2 would be nice) MT targets would be a nice addition.
First of all: it's the best Casting Bar I've come across so far, great work! Thanks. :)
But I have a small problem with the mirror bar. If I set it to "Left (grow up)" (of the player castbar) then it doesn't.
It grows down instead. Would be glad if someone could help me because otherwise it works like a charm.
I read over in the oRA2-thread about using the Blizzard-default solution for
broadcasting main tank targets. What I read puzzled me a bit, so I will copy
a few comments over here to ask my question.

About these maintanks, is it possible (for leaders/assistants) to change the MT thingy in such a way that it also works with the blizzard maintank ui.
Quote from 2.1 patch notes »
Raid Support Commands
The raid UI now has pullouts for the main tank and main assist, while the underlying API function is protected, they can be managed via the Raid UI or via the following new slash commands:
* /mt <name> - Set the main tank role for the named player, or the current target if not specified
* /mtoff <name> - Clear the main tank role for the named player, or the current target if not specified
* /clearmt - Clear all main tank roles
* /ma <name> - Set the main assist role for the named player, or the current target if not specified
* /maoff <name> - Clear the main assit role for the named player, or the current target if not specified
* /clearma - Clear all main assist roles
So oRA would broadcast maintainks though the blizzard RaidUI AND through CTraid for compatibility reasons. I guess when 2.1 is there unitframe addons (Pitbull AG_UF etc.) will support these frames too, so unitframe addons can be used instead of the oRA2 frames (not that anything is wrong with the oRA2 frames, I would just like that non CTRa/oRA2 users have MT frames as well).
Quote from funkydude »
no because iirc the blizz MT's is restricted to 2
Quote from Nirek »
Like everything blizzard steals copies, their implementation of the mt units is woefully insufficient to be useful, and will likely never be significantly implemented in any of the unitframes/etc.
My question is: is that the case? Are we not going to see working PitBull MT targets due to
these restrictions? I mean PitBull doesn't use the CTraid/oRA2 mechanics and it seems that
none of these 2 addons will ever use the Blizzard solution because of its limitations.
So we have a *little* communication problem. ^^

Thanks TotalPackage, now it looks perfect beside working perfect. ;)
Keep it up!

FuBar and find a menu named "Nr MainTanks" (or somthing similar).
Set it to "0" and you are ready to go! ;) Just PitBull should show the MTs now.

Today I have been to Karazhan and I got no issues with the MT targets.
I am happy with the addon :) - thank you again! Keep up the good work.

@ckknight:
Will it be implemented that PitBull utilizes the system
CTraid/oRA2 use to get the MT targets display correctly?
If not: great unit frames anyway! :D
I really really like PitBull, thank you for the addon!
