    /saveguildroster

run from the console saves the guild info in tab separated format
(.txt extension but the contents are .tsv so you can import in a spreadsheet app easily)
    in \World of Warcraft\Logs\GuildRoster.txt

I gave this command a try very handy command for sure. Unfortunately the outputted file was limited to 500 lines/members.

It tells you what I said in reply #4. You cannot access anything beyond the first 500 names that the Blizzard server sends you. Online/offline status is irrelevant.

    -------------------
    Unfortunately, no (lol).

Blizzard has kinda said in the past they know about this, but don't really have any intention to change the guild system to allow more than 500 to be shown.

As such the query-able API doesn't really support more than 500. Meaning such an addon to support what the original poster wants, will also have to resort to using multiple /who 1-20 guildname commands to get the complete list.

Looks like /who would be the best work around for now than but of course does not help with offline members. I do appreciate everyones comment and time. Hopefully someone will find the need to develop a mod as a work around or Blizzard will find the time to fix it.

Have you tried GetGuildRosterInfo(501)? As implied by OrionShock.

I'll even submit a script for you.

If it's nil, you will get nothing (litterally, not even an error message).
    /run DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(GetGuildRosterInfo(501))

I tried this and got nothing back. What does this tell us?

Thank you for the script example I will try it as soon as the server comes back up.

Quick question, so as to not embarrass myself with a spam to guild chat where does this script print to?

WhiteboardNG does this or at least did. I know RDX Raid had this option but that was a paid for addon I am not even sure if its development as half the things they touted are not possible anymore.

Ammo I was pretty excited about your suggestion but unfortunately it does not work. For instance when I am online with my Paladin I do not show up at all on the social panel. In fact when I do a search for Paladins or even my name I do not come up on the GuildFilter search. It is only searching the 500 member limit. If I am not one of the 500 I will not be displayed as it only filters what is in the Social Panel and does not appear to use the /who function. The 500 limit is for online and offline members. If I select only online than 30 people are displayed and the 470 offline are filtered out.

I get this error when I try from time to time.

[2008/05/26 13:12:29-67-x2]: GuildFilter\GuildFilter.lua:53: bad argument #2 to 'tonumber' (base out of range)
    GuildFilter\GuildFilter.lua:53: in function `SetFilter'
    GuildFilter\GuildFilter.lua:318: in function <Interface\AddOns\GuildFilter\GuildFilter.lua:316>

Anyone else have any suggestions? I wish I had the aptitude to build a mod that would do this as it seems fairly simple in comparison to something like Cartography or Prat.

Thank you for taking the time to add to the discussion.

Yup Blizzard has responded a few times with the understanding that it is not a priority for them. I am surprised that there was such a limit. I am not sure if this was intentional or not. I remember in the days of AC2 the guild I was in had over 1000 members.

I am glad to see some dialog particularly from some important ACE members.

I wonder if this is associated with the mouseover guild icon error in Cartography.

    Cartographer-r74405\Cartographer.lua:1025: in function <Interface\AddOns\Cartographer\Cartographer.lua:1022>
    (tail call): ?:
    ...apher\Cartographer_GuildPositions\GuildPositions.lua:124: in function <...apher\Cartographer_GuildPositions\GuildPositions.lua:123>:

It seems there are two issues related to this that exhibit on other mods. Chatter for one does not display Color names based on class without who'ing each person individually. And of course Cartography and the error on mouseover of guild members on map.

There seems to be a bug that limits the number guild members that can be shown in the Social panel.

I am in a guild of over 1300 people and when any of us look at the social panel the number of members is limited to 500.

It would be nice if someone came up with a mod that used /who to grab the names of all the online guild members and displayed them in a window. Currently I have to use /who guildname but that only returns a max of 49 members. I than have to break it down even further with /who guildname 1-20 when I get to the level 70's there are more than 49 on usually so I have to break it down even more with /who guildname 70 mage

If someone can come up with a mod for this that would be great. Of course this would be only useful to those with guilds well over 500.
If there was a way to grab offline members and add them to the list even better.

I love this mod but have a few issues I just can not figure out.

when I am playing my druid the Self buffs do not include thorn, or Gift of the Wild. It has Omen of Clarity, Tiger's Fury and Barkskin the last two I am not concerned about. How do I add Thorn and Gift of the Wild to my Self auto buffs?

On my mage I selected learn for Fire Ward (I was doing some PvP) and now Fire Ward has been added to my auto buff and will not come off. Is there a way to disable fireward from trying to buff?

If these have been answered in the previous post I apologize I did not read all 23 pages.

    regards,

posted a message on Smartbuff / SmartDebuff have to go... Ace replacements?
I have been a smartbuff user for a long long time. For some reason Smartbuff has started to take over my scroll wheel. Before I could use my scroll wheel to buff and to zoom but now its one or the other. After I reboot I have to rebind my zoom keys.

I am using ZOMGbuff now and its a very nice mod that is coming along. I think it will really shine in Raids it certainly works great in BG.
What I do not like is when I last tried it on my druid I did not see thorns under self buff and as a mage I had it learn Fire ward for a particular BG and now whenever I am solo it will keep trying to recast Fireward even when I unlearned it.

It hasn't been updated yet. ck has been extremely busy, and is getting everything done as quickly as he can. As much as people wonder sometimes, he really is human. ;)

I am sure we do not tell ck enough how much his mods are appreciated and all the hard work that is put into them.

This happens if you downloaded DogTag incorrectly. Make sure to get it either by downloading the zips on files.wowace.com or using a proper svn client.

I am getting this error as well. I tried downloading from wowace, and also used wowaceupdater and I still get this error. I deleted the file from my addon directory and reinstalled it still nothing.

    Any ideas?

I took this from another thread I read and changed it to meet my needs. This does not seem to work any idea what I am doing wrong?

    [[HasAura(Gift of the Wild):HasAura(Mark of the Wild)]?Text(B):Green!Text(B)Red]

Basically I want it to show the text green when buffed and red when not.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Yes.

I send the data back and forth so all accounts have the same updated Quest Objectives. I will periodically download a quest database from the Share your Quest Objective Database thread on these forums and share it with my second account.

My quest database sits at about 7.5 megs.
