Baggins_LibFilter fixed up my biggest issues with Baggins for the moment, thanks for pointing that one out. Bank access is still wonky, but I rarely use my bank - I'm much more of a use or sell type of player.

I saw cargBags, but I didn't see any layouts that I liked. I was hoping to avoid hours of configuration.

I'll take a look at Luggage, I don't recall seeing that one in my searches.

I switched from PB3 to PB4 due to the upcoming patch. It uses a lot of resources, but if you're not running a dinosaur of a computer it's nice. A little easier to config than it's predecessors. You could probably find something more efficient if you don't need all the bells and whistles though.

Yeah, the main site is... well, it looks like someone barfed HTML elements onto a canvas, LOL. The forums aren't terrible. I put Firefox on this machine, but I'm only here about half the time. And everyone else, well, back to work! :P

Still use IE6 here, except in special cases. We have issues with legacy apps in newer browsers sadly ><. I'm dreading the inevitable upgrade.

IE8 has been nothing but trouble though. A few people ended up with it somehow and they have nothing but problems, particularly with SSL.

Swap file issues generate a very noticeable stutter in sounds - particularly the in game music. I had my swap file on a failing hard disk and it was painfully obvious.

Since a UI reload seems to help, I would definitely try running with no addons first! That'd be my first step.

I've moved on to Pitbull4, DockingStation, Tiptac, and Mapster to prepare for the next patch. I got a nice loading speed boost too.

Yep. I tried the Baggins alpha last night, it seems to be stable enough for use. I'll try LibFilter too.

I want to avoid Fubar2Broker. I think I can live with having to open my bags to check free space for now.

posted a message on Bag Mods?
I am looking for a bag mod, and having quite a bit of difficulty finding one that has a few key features.

    1) Item filter with separate, collapsible groups based on type (IE: armor, trash, consumables, quest items). Massive plus if these come pre-configured.
    2) Compact (as can be with the above feature), in single window. I often play with my bags open to grab potions, quest items, or swap gear. I am out of action bar buttons!
    3) Can recognize Blizzard equipment manager sets and filter them out. I have on average three armor sets per character and I am constantly accidentally selling gear if I don't filter it out.

Most addons I find either rely on manual or addon assisted sorting (bad when I have three armor sets plus a pile of trash greens and blues), or create quite a few windows and take up half my screen.

Baggins set to all in one mode basically does this, and I'd be happy to stick with it if instead someone can point me to some solutions with other issues I have with it.

    1) Default filters are grossly out of date. I've heard rumor of another library that fixes this, but I've lost track of where that was said.
    2) No filter or plugin available for equipment manager that I could find. I'm using item rack and the plugin for it now, but I'd like to migrate off it.
    3) No bank bags and bugs with toggling the bank frame (alpha patch supposedly fixes the bug at least, which I will try).
    4) No LDB entry for bags free. Minor issue, but I finally replaced all my Rock based addons so Fubar based addons are problem.

    Thanks.

posted a message on 3.2 Shadow Quality option - Improved or not?
While framerates in Dalaran are hardly stellar, they were never super in Shattrath either - the large number of players to render drags framerates down. Load times are a lot worse though, I frequently see people being forced to shut off addons and get out of Dalaran in order to be able to even log in before it logs them off thinking disconnect.

I can't alt tab in Wrath areas either though without having everything grind to a screeching halt. That frustrates me more than a bunch of pixellated shadows. They seem to fix it one patch, only to break it again the next.

That link seems a little misleading, as it seems to be another "spam this link and we'll give you a chance" crap that pops up every now and then.

Any word on a response from Kaelten / Curse? I assume any module interfacing with Curse would have to be written by them, and with them still working on the Curse client I can see where they may simply be short development time to support another addon updater when their priority would be understandably more focused on their own.

I feel like I'm in the minority in believing that what they did was wrong. Deliberately pointing to illegal materials in my book is as bad as hosting it yourself. Unlike Google, which serve a larger purpose, it seems these guys knew what they were doing (heck, look at their name), and didn't care.
