After updating Pitbull a week ago i get this problem with buffs/debuffs floating in the powerbar.

    Do you use Alt Aura?

If so, simply adjust the offsets of the respective buffs & debuffs as to place them where you'd like.

If not, you can always try using Alt Aura, disable the regular buff and debuff icons for Pitbull, and do the same thing with their (Alt Aura's) offsets.

posted a message on [Pitbull} Frame resizing?
You can resize the frames using three options: scale, height, and width. Each frame can be done individually, and I don't have my computer in front of me, but I think the sizing options can be found somewhere around [frame name] --> [other], or something like that.

Sorry I can't be of more help, but the options are definitely there.

Also, when I set a minimum width and reload my ui (like the tooltip for the setting says) nothing changes in the tracker. It's still a way to narrow table. I've tried exaggerating the min width and still no change.

The width in the tracker is only adjustable on one character for me, and even then, only for a time. It might work correctly for an hour, maybe even a day, but eventually, the width of the tracker becomes extremely narrow, and nothing I do allows me to change it - short of uninstalling the addon, and deleting its saved variables before reinstalling.

On all my characters as well save for the one, I can't adjust the width at all. I change the settings, and nothing happens - for better or for worse. Only the first character* who's loaded the addon will have the functionality available to them, and again, only for a short time.

No harm done, though. It's a fine addon, but I'll stick with nQuest until the problem works itself out.

*the first character after installing the addon from scratch. Not the first one who loads it after opening WoW for the first time each day.

    Quote from xinny »

Whenever I try to copy my Pitbull settings from another profile I get the follow error:

...\Addons\Fubar\Libs\LibRockDB-1.0\LibRockDB=1.0.lua:1294: Cannot access key "player" in db table. You may want to use db.profile("player")

I've also had this issue. My error references Cartographer/Libs/LibRockDB-1.0, though, and I think the key in the db table it shows in the error text as not being able to be accessed is "targettarget". If I disable Cartographer, and try to copy profiles again, I seem to get the same error with FuBar that's been quoted above.

Ok, well, this is basically it. Here's a pic of my mage with the player frame, target frame, ToT, TTT, and the focus frames visible.

(sorry about the crappy .jpg - and I also originally posted my druid's UI. But, then I noticed my mage has a better hat when I was going through my screenshots folder. :))

Frankie, I tried out your unit frames and they look awesome, thanks alot! Btw, I'm a little curious about your party frames. Could you post a screeny maybe?

Turns out I ended up in an SM group tonight. So, here's what the frames wound up looking like for the moment. Looking at the screen shot now and scrutinizing it, though, there are several things I don't like; I'm going to change the texts in the health and power bars on the party frames, and I'm going to redo all the texts and reduce the width of the party target frames as well. It also looks like I forgot to move the debuffs down to display at the bottom of the former.

But, beyond those little things I'm pretty happy with them otherwise.

Anyone else not able to import Frankie's layout?

Hmm, sorry to hear you're having problems with the import.

Personally speaking, I had to redo some of my own layouts last night because I have issues copying one profile over another in PitBull (I seem to get RockDB LUA errors regarding Cartographer), so I have to either use the default profile for everyone, or set all my characters up with their own layouts & profiles manually (which is what I've done).

To make a long story short, though - I wound up copying and pasting the code from my post in this thread into my PitBull to speed up the process of having to redo my frames, and it worked without a hitch. A couple users from this thread have also seemingly imported my layout without incident as well. The only thing I've noticed which shouldn't be happening is that the import code seems to have picked up a couple seperators (|) which shouldn't be appearing in a couple of the various text locations, but are. Not that that's not easily enough fixed after the import, anyway.

In any case, hopefully you can get the issue resolved, and I'm pleased to read you liked my layout enough to give it a try in the first place.

    Cheers.

EDIT: Also, check your private messages. I sent you one.

First, sorry it's taken a few days to see this, I haven't been around a computer.

As for the party frames, I generally play alone, as I re-rolled on a different server type a couple months back. I've only been in a party for a couple minutes, literally, since I've installed PitBull. So, I haven't really had much time to set anything up. What I did do, though, was to clone my player frame to make the party frame, and then I did a quick-and-dirty resizing of it and its texts while I had it up.

If someone comes by over the course of this week, or I randomly find myself in a 5-man for something, I'll be sure to post a screen for you, though.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm at work, and won't get home until around 7pm PST. But, once I'm there, I'll post a full-size screen shot with all my visible panes for you to check out.

posted a message on PitBull - Buff Questions, Feature Request?
    Quote from desprez »

I'm having trouble filtering buffs. I see the option to filter by my class, but not others.

This is just a guess because I've not tried it. But, would it be possible to set the buff filtering to on, but then to simply modify the texts in the "buff filtering" line to display the specific buffs you want, and the order they'd appear?

I guess it'd be worth a shot to test, anyway.

    Quote from desprez »

I think it would be useful to position buffs/debuffs with more options. Say, buffs on bottom/debuffs on top, or buffs inside a bar, or have a number of positions with different filters for each. What can be done here?

Well, I have something sort of like what you're inquiring about on my setup. Here, on my target of target frames, I've set buffs to display on the top-right of the frame and to expand inward and up, while debuffs display on the bottom-left side of the same frame, and expand inward and down.

On the other hand, I'm sure if you wanted the buffs to display in the frame as opposed to above or below it, you could simple adjust the aura offsets to find a placement more to your liking.

Either way, here's a picture of my ToT frames displaying buffs (I wasn't in combat when I took the screen, so I don't have any debuffs applied, but you can get the idea):

Here's some pics of what my (Alt-Aura) settings look like to have the buffs and debuffs render on the top and bottom of a particular frame. Do note though that my max buff and debuff limits are so high because these screens were taken to illustrate how I've set up my target frame in particular. I'm sure you'd want to reduce those numbers substantially for other, smaller frames.

    Alt-Aura Settings:
(looks like I left out the screen shot, but the buff positioning is "top-right", whereas debuffs are positioned at "bottom".)

Ok, so here's the code for my frames, for which you'll also need the Full Bar and Alt-Aura extras. Also of note would be the font, which is "SCT Adventure" from good old Scrolling Combat Text, and the bars, which are textured with the "Runes" pattern, which I may have picked up from X-Perl. I'm not sure.

    Player Frame:
(*Note: the buff and debuff scheme is unique to this frame, and when no buffs are present, there's a blank space between the frame and the debuffs. So, I didn't think I ought to include the how-to as a result. Obviously, though, I've just moved the debuff row down to render right below the buffs, and just about all the other general and directional stuff is identical between the two with the exception of "Max Buffs". That's probably set to 10 or 12, whereas the "Max Debuffs" option would be around 20ish or more.)

    Also of note:

Alt-Aura General Settings (for the TARGET frame):

Alt-Aura Directional Settings (for the TARGET frame):

Alt-Aura Offsets (for the TARGET frame):

Just to be clear, I emphasized that these last Alt-Aura settings were for the target frame only because of the fact that I've maxed out the debuff limit, and set the buff limit so high. You'd probably want to reduce them both for other frames by at least half. The offsets, and other options can pretty much be applied to any other frame as-is, though.

    Enjoy.

If you press the macro multiple times, I suppose it might. It would depend on the cooldown timers and which abilities trigger the GCD.
